ATTACK ON US EMBASSY IN LIBYA

Obama

- US diplomats are in harms way. They have a risky job. Concerned
for their safety.
- Instructed State Dept. to beef up security, investigate what happened,
and find out who did this and hunt them down.
- Romney put out a press release for political points. Not how CIC operates.
National Security is not a political issue as it happens.
- Ended war in Iraq.
- Transition out of Afganistan.
- Taking out Al-Qaeda and took out bin Laden.
- I am ultimately responsible for what happens out there.
- Sec. Clinton has done and extraordinary job but President is responsible.
- Stood in Rose Garden and laid out my plan.
- Was at repatriation and with families.
- We do not play politics with these events.

Romney

- President is responsible for failure.
- Sympathetic to families of lossed ones.
- Many days passed until we knew it was a terrorist attack.
- What took so long?
- Day after assissination, the President flew around to fund raisers.
- Puts doubt in President's policy in middle-east.
- Iran closer to bomb.
- Syria is...(?)
- His strategy is unravelling.
- President says it was an act of terror? Moderator confirms.
- Administration took a long time to admit that it was an attack by a terrorist group.

The mass delusion that a criminal attack on an arm of the US government's executive branch is an act of terror is a little scary. Everybody seems to share it. Is terrorism seriously now defined as any violent act that harms the US government?

Whoever said this debate should have the Phoenix Wright cornered music going: jesus yes. That goddamn turnabout on the Libya question.
