US Town Hall Debate |OT| When is the election? What are the names of the candidates?

Obama clearly won that debate.

Not a complete knockout IMO, but a clear substantive win.

Libya question was destructive to Romney.
I'd say no. I'm not in it for Romney but when he opened up on Bams for his broken promises and "did you like the past 4 years?" tidbit - that sticks with a lot of people.

Obama did good - but he's also campaigning like he hasn't been president for 4 years.

The question everyone will ask themselves is "Am I better off than I was 4 years ago?"

There's plenty more questions - but for the average individual - this is the no.1 question.

Both candidates can say all they want but Romney calling Obama out on broken promises was a rather large blow because it hits home and, for a lot of people, carries more weight than the rest of the debate.

Again - I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade - Obama did far better in this debate but the no.1 issue for a large majority is the economy and the past 4 years isnt exactly a "pro" for the President and Romney highlighted that which I feel (I could be wrong, I'm not psychic) is a foreground issue.

Listen I need a separate thread on "Binders"

C-Span is full of people saying that Romney won... they are saying that he provided more specifics.

I don't even... how the fuck?

Also, Romney left the stage really, really early. Obama is still around chatting with everyone.

Obama said he called the Benghazi attack a terrorist incident in the Rose Garden the next day. Romney challenged him on it, not believing he did. Moderator stepped in and said actually the President did say it. Crowd went wild.

Thanks for that! Now to find out what the binder issue is in regards to.

CNN is playing the viewers game. No doubt in my mind.

It's like before hockey drafts TSN in canada keeps acting like it's going to be a toss up and close and whatnot even though it's almost always obvious who will go first/second. It's their job to keep people watching.

A Bams win is all that matters, no matter the margins. That number will only grow as that opinion coalesces.

And y'all should be ecstatic considering everyone was predicting doom 12 hours ago.

the media wants to keep this election a close horse race, it's good for ratings and selling papers.

but in reality, it's all horseshit. Obama cleaned Mitt's clock tonight.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Candy was limp. She wasn't even close to Martha. Martha kept both candidates in check and didn't let either one talk down to her.

"I know how to do this"

"I know what a growing economy looks like"

Look at all of those specifics.

"We have to make this the best place to start a new business."

And those specifics!

He's got all kinds of specifics.

my pre-debates predictions were:

1. romney
vp. ryan
2. obama
3. obama

i'm 2 for 3. after the first one, i switched to a tentative biden win though.
