boy

that is a death stare from stretch

those poor poor buttons

Romney went for a full on KO punch but whiffed badly leaving Obama free to counter full force.

Of course nobody expected Candy to leap into the ring and smash Romney in the back of the head with a chair... but you know, Romney shouldn't have tried to go after the Rose Garden comment in the first place.

Candy's irrelevant in this situation, although she did help. Mitt made his own bed with this one.

When you're going to look the President of the United States in the eye and say he didn't say something having to do with the deaths of Americans, you better damn well not be wrong. You could see in the President's face how angry he was. He was visibly pissed at how Romney was coming at him.

Obama knew that Libya was going to hit him, but you damn well know he spent hours rehearsing those lines and making sure he knew ahead of time what he did and didn't say, How Romney fucked up that whole exchange is beyond me.

You remember the "Please proceed, Governor" moment? Of course you do. Obama said that with a condescending tone and I doubt I'm the only one who noticed that.

How would it have been construed had Mitt Romney responded with something like "Do not address me with that tone, Mr President"? I would certainly have been impressed

After accusing the President of not saying something he actually said? Like a fucking dick. Not dickish, but a fucking dick. It would have even lost him points with the base.

C-Span is making me sick... these people are blowing my mind. The ratio of Romney won to Obama won is close to 4:1 it seems. I just don't get it. This is frustrating. This election is going to be a hard one... and I'm a Canadian!

Well he would have looked like an ass for two reasons.

1) His tone in asking Obama that question is what prompted the cold response.

2) You don't get to speak to the President like that.

Moot point, anyway, since instead of a sly comeback he stuttered, lost his place and lost the debate.

You would've been the only one.

Why isn't anyone actually calling out the moderator for joining the debate?

A moderator shouldn't call out blatant lying?
Well, that would make it easier for one side to get away with blatant lies.
This time though, the lying presidential candidate by the name Willard Mitt Romney was caught in the act of blatantly lying to the american people.

God bless this moderator for opening the eyes of proud americans everywhere in the greatest nation on Earth.

As soon as I heard "binders full of women" I knew it would be a major sound bite. Not only is it a weird phrase, it was part of a bad answer to the question.

I also like how he implied that women need to go home earlier than men.

Who needs pay equality when women can go into the kitchen faster?

yeah my 90 year old grandma needs to stop being such a leech and get a fucking job like the rest of us

Is everyone your ninety year old grandmother? Everyone is different, and people shouldn't take every little thing so personally. I'm slrry if I somehow offended you, really wasn't my intention at all. My eighty-eight year old grandfather moved in with my mom and dad for three and a half years before he passed away. Times are tough, but if we look out for our own its not the end of the world.

Where were all the people who are calling gaf blind for saying Obama won tonight when they clearly admitted he lost the first debate? Give me a fucking break. Obama soundly won and on a few occasions clubbed Mitt like a baby seal.

condescending ? ha

Here's my unbiased opinion:
Romney came off looking too agitated. He wasn't positive enough.
Obama did much better this time and had a nice closing.
I'd say Romney is the clear winner.

can we get you to stop pretending to be unbiased? it's pretty dishonest for the entire year to support only republican ideals while saying that you are unbiased.

not every old person has family they can move in with, just like not every student can get a loan from their parents. Not every problem in the world can be solved with bootstraps, sorry if reality offends you.

OK, sir. . . . Sept 12 Rose Garden . . .

Yesterday, four of these extraordinary Americans were killed in an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi. Among those killed was our Ambassador, Chris Stevens, as well as Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith. We are still notifying the families of the others who were killed. And today, the American people stand united in holding the families of the four Americans in our thoughts and in our prayers.

The United States condemns in the strongest terms this outrageous and shocking attack. We're working with the government of Libya to secure our diplomats. I've also directed my administration to increase our security at diplomatic posts around the world. And make no mistake, we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people.

Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faiths. We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. But there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence. None. The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these brutal acts.

Already, many Libyans have joined us in doing so, and this attack will not break the bonds between the United States and Libya. Libyan security personnel fought back against the attackers alongside Americans. Libyans helped some of our diplomats find safety, and they carried Ambassador Stevens’s body to the hospital, where we tragically learned that he had died.

It's especially tragic that Chris Stevens died in Benghazi because it is a city that he helped to save. At the height of the Libyan revolution, Chris led our diplomatic post in Benghazi. With characteristic skill, courage, and resolve, he built partnerships with Libyan revolutionaries, and helped them as they planned to build a new Libya. When the Qaddafi regime came to an end, Chris was there to serve as our ambassador to the new Libya, and he worked tirelessly to support this young democracy, and I think both Secretary Clinton and I relied deeply on his knowledge of the situation on the ground there. He was a role model to all who worked with him and to the young diplomats who aspire to walk in his footsteps.

Along with his colleagues, Chris died in a country that is still striving to emerge from the recent experience of war. Today, the loss of these four Americans is fresh, but our memories of them linger on. I have no doubt that their legacy will live on through the work that they did far from our shores and in the hearts of those who love them back home.

Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks. We mourned with the families who were lost on that day. I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our wounded warriors at Walter Reed. And then last night, we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.

As Americans, let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up for it, and in some cases, lay down their lives for it. Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian and military who represent us around the globe.

No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done.

But we also know that the lives these Americans led stand in stark contrast to those of their attackers. These four Americans stood up for freedom and human dignity. They should give every American great pride in the country that they served, and the hope that our flag represents to people around the globe who also yearn to live in freedom and with dignity.

We grieve with their families, but let us carry on their memory, and let us continue their work of seeking a stronger America and a better world for all of our children.

Thank you. May God bless the memory of those we lost and may God bless the United States of America.

The right-wing bubble has made them out of touch with reality.

Sometimes I forget how Romney even got this far. Dude has no fucking charisma, shits all over the rules and doesn't give two fucks about the stench of arrogance he gives off.

I'm sure you would've.

How would you have reacted when it then immediately turned out he was so full of shit the AMA was drafting a new recommended treatment plan for his condition?

We take America from the corrupt! The rich! The oppressors of generations who have kept you down with myths of opportunity, and we give it back to you... the people. America is yours. None shall interfere. Do as you please. Start by storming the polls, and voting with your hearts! Step forward those who would serve. For an army will be raised. The poor will be ripped from their degenerate nests, and cast out into the cold world that we know and endure. Courts will be convened. Tax breaks will be enjoyed. Immigration will be restricted. The police will thrive, as they learn to serve true justice. This great country... it will endure. America will survive!

Wow, I didn't know that Romney left soon after the debate. Wow, I bet he's so salty now.

He's got to get all of his hard earned financial gains by exploiting people into tax avoidance schemes before he loses the election and the Dems tighten these rules.

But he still got social security and paid no income tax.

Binders full of women will be this Halloween's hanging chad.

respect points for anyone who get's the show reference.

You're trying to find a way to make what he said alright. He said that the 47% who don't pay income taxes will all vote for Obama, and that they are all takers who want to be coddled and don't want to work hard. These are both lies, and ugly ones at that.

To the audience that was targeted, it's what they wanted to hear. It's an election, politicians will pander to their audiences. I'm not going to sit here and say it was the most eloquently phrased statement, but I understood what he was trying to say, that a good majority has written off him completely (whether it was 47% or not). He has to focus on the ones who haven't to deliver what his audience wanted.

He only got as far as he did because everyone else in the primaries was either dumber or crazier than he would ever dare to be.
