It doesn't work if you are in the USA. You still get $10 in credit and $5 off which is more or less the same, but it still stopped me from getting it. I'll just wait for the next sale.

Looks like they extended the 25% off deal until friday. I think the best plan of attack for anyone wanting both XCOM and Dishonored is to grab XCOM now and just wait a day or so after launch to grab Dishonored using the $10 and 25% together.

Made the same mistake, then I remembered 8=August, and that it would be very odd for a UK site to use the US date system.

... Ofcourse, if you click the banner at the side (goes here) it says it runs until the 12th. Fuck it, I'm assuming the earlier date.

Extended til Friday would theoretically let us stack the $10 off with the 25% off. Fingers crossed.

So, I tried using the site for the first time today. When I tried to use my card to buy something, it sent me to my bank's page to verify everything. But, it came back as an error and said to check with my payment provider before trying to pay again. Has anyone had this happen to them?

This just happened to me. I tried using Paypal and GMG automatically refunded me. What the fuck.

I would totally use GMG if the website performance wasn't so terrible.
Everything i click takes like 4 minutes to load.

Yeah, the site needs some work on the backend. Most everything takes ages to load. Especially when there's traffic.

Had four items open at once, clicked Buy Now on all of them. Each tab would load with only one item in the basket. Hit Remove on all of them and was to start over, more slowly this time. Couldn't add anything. Get 500'd when I try to add a game from the Hot Deals section now for some reason.

Man gmg is so weird, I have a main account with them, and I have a second one which I signed up with for that 2$ credit.

I try and buy something with the second account to take advantage of the 2$ credit, says the bank wont allow it (im using paypal)

So I flip to my main account and use the same payment method and it goes through lol

I'm still having my PayPal problems and they ain't answering my support tickets

They answered my first one pretty quickly with a stock "it's probably your own security settings" type answer. When I responded that it's the exact same computer and exact same security settings as I've used to buy from them before I got no response. I supplied a previous support ticket from a few months ago where I got the same error message and they said they "reset" something on my account and it worked fine but I still got no response.

I was ultimately able to complete the purchase on my phone.
