I have platinumed the PS3 version so I have played it a hundred hours or so. But I haven't played it in months because I bought myself a pretty computer have turned into PC gaming.

Game should be downloaded in an hour, can't wait to see how it looks. Might even put my PS3 on to do some comparing.

PS3 is the worst version. You will see a HUGE difference. It will be glorious.

Wow, I admire your perseverance. Seriously if they do such a bloody awful job in developing for the PS3 then they should port it to a studio that has some competency with the system, like they did with Oblivion.

I'm just posting this here since I can't make a thread, see the end of the post, and I'm just trying to let people know how they can get a free game before the offer expires.

Unfortunately I can't take advantage of this since my old Nexus broke and the pre paid card went with it, I called the number listed in the post and they are going to send me a check. But I won't be able to use that for 30-60 days. Enjoy your free game! I'm a super poor college student and really wanted FTL. I'll have to wait until Google mails me a check

Just letting anyone who are interested know, if you got an Android phone recently and signed up for Google Wallet you got a free $10 dollars.

You have to use that $10 before October 17th or else it disappears. Just so happens that if you go to www.ftlgame.com/ they allow you to pay with Google Wallet and the game is $10. I was always trying to find a use for the free money.

This method works for any humble store game apparently so FTL, Legend of Grimrock (on sale for $7.50 right now), Awesomenauts, Trine 2, Bit.Trip, Botanacula, and a lot more.

They stopped giving out new cards as of September 17th, and if you updated the app after that date your card will disappear entirely. Unfortunately, I can't take advantage of this since my old Nexus broke and the pre-paid card is attached to the phone. If you are in a similar situation, or if you updated the app and the card disappeared, then call this number 8558960693 and they will send you a check.

Seems like a legitimate way to get a free game, I can't personally make a thread so if anyone wants to start one they should so we could get the word out. Don't know how many people this will affect but if you activated an Android phone anytime in the last year and a half you should have the $10.

Depends on how they have set up these deals with publishers. IMHO, they take a lower margin but somehow offload that by sheer volume by doing these crazy 20-25% offs (especially on preorders). lower price x quantity = some sort of profit.

Maybe Playfire is subsidizing them for now in order to help them grow the user base.

It still blows my mind that they offer Steam keys with such heavy discounts. Take that Hitman deal for example. $45 on Steam, or $33 on GMG for a key that you can redeem and download on Steam anyways? Its crazy. How can Valve possibly be cool with that?

Steam has nothing to say regarding pricing outside of Steam. Either way, they still get users who bought keys on GMG to sign up for a Steam account.

Well it's not as good as getting it for $35 with a voucher, you're still kind of getting it for $35. Or rather getting it for $5 off and getting whatever your next game is for $10 off, not including vouchers. I wish I didn't get it on Steam now. Even getting Civ 5 wasn't a bonus since everyone else started offering it all of a sudden.

I assume the code you've received is for the Sniper Challenge (the game proper is still over a month away, so I doubt GMG has received keys), which you need to redeem here in order to obtain a Steam-friendly key.

This happened to me, I rung my bank and they said it was something VISA had added to reduce fraud. If you ring your bank they should be able to tell you what details they didn't accept. The details have to match exactly what your bank has.

If you plan to spend it with the 25% discount give up on that and get dishonored now, that code won't work effective 4 AM tomorrow. Though I guess they could pull out a new one, but it may be better to look and see what other games in the future you want to spend that on.

Preorderd Assassin Creed 3 with the 25% voucher for a cost of 33 dollars (about 210 swedish kroners) thats really cheap for us over here in Sweden

If I were to buy AC3 here in sweden or on steam it would be about 72 dollars.
For xbox360 or ps3 I have to pay about 500-650 kroners (72-93 US dollars).
