I was not a fan of Hillary Clinton in 2008.

However, after seeing how the Republicans treated Obama, I think they deserve something more Clintonian in demeanor.

Hillary 2016. Give 'em hell.

Yeah, just because she's saying no now doesn't mean it won't happen. I really epends on how her age treats her. I can respect her decision not to run if it is her true feelings on the matter, but if she's long lived enough, she can absolutely run in 2016 and stands a good chance of winning.

Though she might be more concerned about how she's holding up by 2020. If sucha thing is the case she could also step down at the end of her first term.

One appealing aspect of Hilary is how much she would fight in contrast to Obama.

It's not unheard of, look at Ron Paul, he's 77 and mentally sharp, William Shatner is 81 and he's up walking, and as busy as ever. Stan Lee, though he cancelled upcoming appointments due to an issue, is 89.

In this day an age, 70 might only be too old in the poltical sense, it all depends on her.

I remember her face during the Bin Laden raid. She looked horrified.

I know they've downplayed it, but this is the face my mom has when she's watching a car accident happen on the TV screen. Why would she want to do that to herself again?

I really think it's time to look for new faces.
I think that's the right face to have on when you know you might've sent soldiers to die, and there's nothing you can do about it now.
I hope we never get someone who looks causal in such situations.

Had the chance to "meet" with Stan Lee. He's not all up there anymore.

It's never ruled out until January 2016.

Basically.

I predict the future:

'After many long months of consideration, after talking to my husband and daughter, I have decided to form an exploratory committee on becoming the next president of the united states...'

She'll have both Obama and Bill Clinton campaigning for her. She will have the experience of Secretary of State, US Senator and First Lady under her belt. I think losing 4 years ago has softened people on her. She will be battle tested and fierce. And she gets 2 years off to just build up her network and campaign. No way she isn't running.

I can't think of another candidate more qualified. I don't want to hear any bullshit about her age. She will have Obama and Bill Clinton unanimously behind her. That's like playing spades with the Big and Little Joker in your hand. She'll just copy some of Obama's ground game, internet style and bring a hell of a resume.

I wasn't a supporter 4 years ago but I would say she is as qualified as anybody, including the current president. Obama's style, Billy Boy's bipartisan swag and speech writing, she's much more personable and she's executing Plan B well. Disappearing into foreign countries to solve problems. She takes away so many cards from Republicans (excitement for the first woman president, great foreign policy record, centrist record). I can't wait.

Fixed.

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
As long as she's mentally "there" I don't see why age is an issue. Older people have run, and women live longer than men on average.

Yeah, Obama has to reduce the debt before the balloons up in a few years. Biggest threat to Hillary losing is Obama becoming Bush/Clinton 3.0.

The debt will not cause us problems. He doesn't have to reduce anything. So long as America doesn't go belly up in four years, she should be good to run.

"Mitt Romney" is pretty compelling reason to want Obama to win by itself.

Even so, an Obama victory in 2012 gives the democratic challenger a higher chance in 2016. It is my opinion that regardless of who wins this year, the economy will enter a period of booming growth. That person may or may not be good for the long-term prospects of the economy, but the in the short term? The natural business cycle will make him look good. So if you have Romney as an incumbent going for re-election, he might be nigh unbeatable. If it's Obama, then the democratic candidate might get a benefit of incumbency but at the very least will not have to battle against it.

Woman is tired... let her rest folks :( She's aged like crazy over the past 12 years starting with the world finding out her husband was getting head from a younger women in THEIR OWN HOME!

If she doesn't run, and Romney doesn't win this year, the 2016 election will be one hell of a circus. Personally, I can't wait to see it.

I'm not worried about it causing problems. They are not spazzing enough to make me worried. But it's an issue that is gaining traction. It resonates with some people. Maybe a booming economy makes this go away but I get the feeling we'll hear about this in 4 years and you won't be able to blame anybody for it (ie Bush).

But, the 2016 Campaign season is only a few short weeks away.

i've been begging for over 5 years.
This is Marie Claire magazine FFS. They are not going to be the publication that breaks this sort of news.

Standard canned answer from a sitting Sec of State.
