Halo 3 looks 1000x more fun than the previous game.
It has much much better campaign levels and enemy encounters.
If it weren't for "Cortana" it'd probably be my favourite campaign.
Sure they had HDR (Half-Life 2 did too...) so they had to cut the resolution.
It still looks okay though

Never forget Halo 2 animation
Halo 2 had some real stinkers. Remember the grunt that just turned and ran away with no animation when Chief teleported into the room, as if they just used the pre-viz?
It's funny since the halo 2 making of dvd shows that scene where everything is bare, textureless and without animation.
And the grunt's animation was identical to how it is in release.
HL2 did not have it until a later point though, but I am not comparing it to other games. It just looks nice.

Its a good amount, but the GB community haven't been exactly generous when you consider the number of viewers, and size of the community.
I was watching and donated to the KBMOD 24 hour which managed to hit over 47k with a smaller community.
That had the more popular personalities though, if this was Ryan and Jeff, it would obviously have raised more.
EDIT: I hope that doesn't sound like I'm shitting on these guys, I'm really not, what they're doing is awesome, and I'm very glad it's raising money. I was just saying the GB community would most likely have been more focused on a marathon with the better known GB staff.

Bit unfair on the lads playing Halo for 24 hours saying that. Their commitment to the charity is admirable.
As for the other GB guys well I guess they didn't think it was particularly worthwhile. A shame.

Your mind will be blown when they play The Ark and The Covenant.
Yeah, it's kind of amazing how it went from essentially a moving platform in Halo 2 to an actual giant enemy you can fight or board in 3. The scarab fight near the end of the game was incredibly fun.
Funny thing is that most of Halo 1 is etched in my memory. I just don't have a good, memorable sense of Halo 3.

Replayed 3 enough to get it engrained in my memory. One of the few games you gotta replay to get the full experience.
This is probably the best Flood mission in the series. Doesn't overstay it's welcome and the only annoying part are the wall crawling needle firing bastards.
