Gay and Bisexual thread |OT2|Bears and Twinks and Otters. Oh My!

hey guys, of those of you in University/college. How many of you use social networking to discuss things related to school?

I rarely used social network for school related discussion. We primarily used gmail chat and google docs for collaboration though.

I think I might be bisexual. My attraction to men feels a lot different than how I feel about women though.

I tried cybering with a guy and I ended up really enjoying it, and I don't think I would if I was a lesbian. Gah, this is confusing >_>

Don't think about it too much. Go with the flow. You shouldn't try to label yourself. Exploration is good, y'know?

What's the difference?

Well for women I know I'm attracted. I love femininity, I love boobs, me being attracted to women is just totally obvious.

I wonder if being trans has anything to do with it because I grew up "male". I've always been accepting of gay people but we live in a world full of homophobia. It's possible I'm subconsciously suppressing my attraction to men which is why it's hard for me to tell.

Anyone find uber nerd tendencies in a boyfriend a turn off? I post on GAF so I have a certain level of nerd cred. I like sci fi and all that stuff and still manage to possess social skills. But this guy who I met a couple years ago, lost contact with and recently reconnected online did some light flirting. By most standards an attractive guy but he has a star trek picture framed in his living room and several models on display. Anyone else encounter this before?

If you don't speak Portuguese with him it probably isn't that bad, and the truly horrendous part was "Saints fan" anyway.

I only speak broken Portuguese anyway. But yeah they massacre the language, it's not like is that much better in any other part of Brazil, even if Rio is the worst.

Maybe you are trying to suppress desires for men.

Depends on how obnoxious and the hobby. I met a guy who was super into pokemon and spent most our date talking about it. A painting and some models aren't that bad.

Kind of. At a glance it seems to depend on a couple of factors, how much merit I see it as having and how extensive their attachment to it is.

I have a poster of C3P0 and R2D2 from when they did the rereleases and it's framed (with some I never got framed), and I don't talk about it that much. (read: at all unless the topic is brought up)

In fact when talking to people I get kind of bored unless I can talk about something that interests me, but rarely do I meet someone where I can go on about technology or games or computer jargon :(

Outside of really crazy things, I don't have a problem with nerd tendencies (which sounds like some awful sporadic mental illness), and honestly, from your description, I don't see the issue. I mean, this guy and I are totally going to get together. That Rocketeer statue is so cool.

I think we would be better friends than trying to date. Maybe it has nothing to do with his nerd nature. He isn't socially awkward but he can go on and on once the topic has been brought into the discussion.

I'd actually love to date a guy who is really into gaming. That'd be really fun. If he can beat me at SSFIV or SSBB, man, I'd just marry him :P

I had never played SF4 before on the xbox, and I whooped this guy's ass years back who I knew was partially gay. He got so mad because I was button mashing and spamming haidokens and shit. haha

I'm super bad at SSBB because SSBB does not have Roy >:[ I fuckin loved roy.

I think that can be generally said about lots of people with a particular passion, sometimes folks get carried away in conversation. Just have to know how to rope them back into another topic, or be open with them that you don't share their passion on that level.

That Rocketeer memorabilia is fucking rad. I want to start collecting vinyl figures.

Or you can be like this guy here and just completely ignore people when they send twenty messages about Windows 8.

Same here, but there really aren't any products I like enough to buy merchandise for.

Oh they have meta knight and shit but that kirby fucker is way too floaty. Kirby is a better meta knight imo

the other fire emblem guy is no replacement for Roy. Everyone dickwaved about his combo move but it sucked compared to juggling people and breaking someone's bubble with roy then charging up a built in home run I Win button. Nothing quite like the satisfaction of slamming your sword explosively into someone's head.

Basically after I did that I'd go the screen FUCK YOU! flipping both birds and being really douchy like "hah suck it!"

Hey now, we've talked plenty about Windows 8/tablets. And yeah that's my problem too, besides the fact they can be pricey. Probably for the best, I'll look into it when I actually have a nice shelf for them.

Really liking season 7 of Dexter. One of the reasons why is because of one of the new bad guys, Ray Stevenson.

And the latest episode hinted
at him being gay

The bad guy being gay... how groundbreaking

I really never got into Dexter, which is weird because it is the kind of show I would like.
