I thought the driving sequence was pretty cool actually. Call of Duty doesn't let you drive at all, just shoot on a mounted turret.

The cracks on the windshield and mud flying was a nice touch.

This game looks so boring. Why are they still making Medal of Honor games? It seems like Call of Duty and Halo satisfy that market pretty well.

Because at a time, EA was trying some different with the single player that Call of Duty wasn't. Now, they've doubled down on COD bullshit.

And probably is not going to tap the same market.

Looking at the numbers, it seems that the last Medal of Honor game sold 5+ million worldwide, so I guess that's why they're still making them. Why people are still interested in buying them is beyond me. FPS's in general are just so ZZZ these days.

A lot of people find these games enjoyable. Regardless of what you think, they still typically sell more than most any other genre. With the given circumstances, the game seems completely fine and could be an OK ride through the campaign.

And this one looks on track to not sell anywhere near as well as it's predecessor; it's obvious the mass market consumer just isn't interested in this game.

I'm surprised it sold 5 million, the game was utterly forgettable.

That Medal of Honor: Warfighter cutscene with the grenade indicator...maybe he caught a grenade for love.

If a grenade actually exploded and killed the guy in the cutscene, it would be have been fantastic. Blending gameplay mechanics and storytelling to build suspense, and foreshadowing. The fact that the player can see the grenade icon, but can't do anything about it, shows the inevitability of war.

To post modernist for the industry

Just watched Patrick's first horror thing. I knew it was going to be bad going in after his comments on the Bombcast, but yeah, that was totally unwatchable, ha. Shame too cos Penumbra is an interesting series (albeit not a patch on Amnesia)

Hope the second one is a marked improvement!

I'm not a sub. What exactly was wrong with it?

Watching the MOH QL now... I think them going through it live and having to do the day 1 patch, going through the process you do to actually install the game is actually a really good way to cover this game, given the situation surrounding its release. It's done in a fun way but at the same time is pointing out something that's quite disturbing about today's games industry, the rush to release a game and then churn out the next one. Even going so far as to release an unfinished game and patch it, just to get it out.

It was heavily pixelated and the compression artifacts were through the roof. It is near unwatchable, in my opinion.

Also I have been watching streams since Ustream/Justin.tv days and they weren't as bad as this. Back in 2007, 4PlayerPodcast was streaming, and that looked better than this - I think they were streaming @ 360p (not sure). It looked awful, but not this compressed.

That is a picture from the video. It looks even worse when it's in a dark room, which that game is centered around. You really can't see anything then. Any sort of action or fast movement, pixelates it even more.

This is nothing new, plenty of games were shipped with grave errors or even mostly unplayable due to crippling bugs in the late 90s and early 00s - but had patches for download on their websites.

Real Media is where it's at - Multimedia! Maybe try updating your Real Player to the latest version?

Completely unwatchable. But it's no mystery, he admitted in the previous ILM that he didn't touch the bitrate settings for whatever shitty stream software he was using, which turned out to be freakishly low hence that visual monstrosity.

The second one is a lot better. Scoops just didn't know how to set up his stream correctly at the time.

Do you guys think they're even going to cover the new Dark Souls DLC? I know it's not in their wheelhouse, but it would be nice to see all the new content get some attention.

Watching the MOH Quicklook... I'm really surprised that the whole "Let's strap a second scope on the side of the gun so that you can twist the whole gun to shoot it on the side gangsta style" is a real thing... It was cute in Syndicate in a sci-fi futuristric setting but I guess it's a real thing now? Look just so dumb.

yea, it's real and apparently very useful IRL.

It was in Modern Warfare 3 too.

I think 999 would make an epic endurance run. There's just some things about this game that make it fit perfectly into GB wheelhouse.
