Never heard of them. Are they bands or authors? I like discovering new stuff, so any recommendation is really appreciatedProg-rock and scifi? Another Coheed and Cambria fan?
Is it wrong if I read your post with the Indiana Jones theme ringing in my ears? I can totally picture you running from a boulder with a whip in your hand, lol!I'm John, a mid-20s archaeologist and historian in training from Georgia. Usually when I tell people about the first part, they either ask about dinosaurs or joke about me being Indiana Jones and how much I must hate snakes and Nazis, so I get to joke about how
A) Dinosaurs really aren't my area of expertise, but they are still really badass
B) I was actually terrified of snakes long before I ever got interested in archaeology
C) I've actually fought a Nazi.
Whenever I'm not bogged down in school work and research, I enjoy video and table top games, comics, writing, hiking, jogging, and movies. But that's all boring and typical. I also used to fence and have been looking for an opportunity to start back (epee for life, yo). My newest hobby is brewing beer, which even has its own branding: Intelligent Discussion! This summer, I'll be adding the married life to my list of hobbies, when I finally tie the knot with my girlfriend of five years.
No, I wouldnt even know how to pronunce that lolcoldvein said:do you ever go by SERZIO instead of sergio?

I'm more of a Yes, Alan Parsons Project, Pink Floyd (not their early stuff though), Genesis and Camel fan. But I also like bands such as ELO, Creedence (they're my favorite), The Beatles, Bee Gees and The Who. Recently I started listening to Boston (loved them), Fleetwood Mac (Rumours blew my mind) and Rush (fucking incredible guys!).

All of Coheed and Cambria's albums are concept albums that tell a science fiction storyline called The Amory Wars, a story written by lead singer Claudio Sanchez, which has been transcribed into a series of comic books,[4] as well as a full length novel.

Lol, a search on Google would have saved me from some embarrassment here. It surely sounded like 2 different bands xD Definitely going to give them a chance. Any recommended album or song?Since you dont seem to mind guys that sound like chicks, you might just like Coheed and Cambria(just one band)!
Boston is awesome, I agree.
I love concept albums when they are well done. This has a lot of potential.BOTH

This is the first single from their new album. Their stuff can also be proggier, heavier, poppier, and punkier(wut) depending on the song/album.Lol, a search on Google would have saved me from some embarrassment here. Can't say I'm a fan, sorry. It's a little too heavy for my tastes. I'll still listen to a full album of theirs, and see whether I enjoy it or not. I hope I do, I could do with a new band right now. This is the first single from their new album. Their stuff can also be proggier, heavier, poppier, and punkier(wut) depending on the song/album.
Howdy! My name is Sarah, and I'm 22. I'm from Annapolis, Maryland but I spend a good deal of my time in both Baltimore and DC. I'd say most of my free time is spent reading comics, making costumes, and cooking or baking.
I tend to lurk the comic/manga/anime/movie threads looking for suggestions but as far as posting goes I enjoy a pretty random assortment of threads.
Since I have so few pictures of me that aren't in costume, enjoy one from back when my hair was short.

Well, to be honest that's one of their heavier songs. You might enjoy Blood Red Summer, Feathers, A Favor House Atlantic, Once Upon Your Dead Body, or Goodnight, Fair Lady.
I would link but I am on mobile....
Try the songs Neverender, the Crowing, The Light and the Glass, Wake Up...they have a ton of softer songs. I love their entire spectrum, the music is visually amazing and the lyrics are top notch.
Yes.OFF! is rad!

Edit: Forgot Pearl of the Stars
The Crowing is my favorite of theirs.
Me too! It's really hard to pick a favorite, but The Crowing is only second to Everything Evil.Oh lord, mine too. It's actually a tight race between the Crowing and Neverender, but the Crowing always wins. The story of the song just trumps everything else.

Yeah Everything Evil is so good as well. Second only to The Crowing. I was lucky and my Brother-in-Law took me to the SSTB tour they just did. So awesome to get to hear things they don't normally do off that album live.

Hello everyone. My name is Rob. I live in Spokane, Washington. I'm 25 years old. Lurked gaf for years, don't really post that often.
My biggest hobby is movies. I also collect tarantulas and I'm an artist. This is a work I did based on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

This is a nice thread, I appreciate it Dominic!
My name is Anita.
I'm 21 and trying to finish up my bachelor's degree presently in Psychology.
I've been maintaining a 7 year relationship with my boyfriend (hoping to get married soon) which has been good, we have our ups and downs but nothing abnormal.
I have major depression that I started to recognize 3-4 years ago, and it's an on going battle without a therapist, but I'm trying not to give up.
I pretty much aspire to be a writer, but I'm questioning whether I really want to do that, and if not what is my true calling in life.
I do know that I love art but coincidentally, I pretty much suck at free hand art.
Although I'm a pretty decent baker and cook I suppose.
One of the things I've been getting into is perler designs.
A sample of pieces I did a few months back:

Good luck with that relationship! And good job on those pieces as well.
I should really expand on my initial post...
