So no more GLTAS episodes this month? WHY?!

I really hope that the show will be back in November but it seems nothing is confirmed yet.
Also, I found this:

Of course he will never do it, but I find it funny that the producer of the show was as clueless and even a little angry about it too.

like I said in the other thread

probably some CN political nonsense - some jerk with a vendetta against DC Nation because it's not his idea or not his pet project

If I had to guess, the only reason the block has not been killed is that there is still a contractual obligation to DC for it.

I blame someone from the higher ups doing bullshit.

With that said I pity Dragons because it'll get so much misdirected hate.

I actually watched it for the first time because of the whole ideal. It was something my sister and I meant to watch, but just never got around to putting it on the DVR. I thought it was okay. fun and entertaining, but damn the animation is horribly inconsistent. Some animation seems on par with the movie and then times where it gets this weird jittery framerate. I don't consider myself to have an expert eye in animation, but the difference is quite jarring as opposed to GL.

The animation becomes more consistent after episode 3. But yeah compared to Penguins and Kung Fu Legends it's definitely better.

Is it any good? I liked the movie, but I'm not really sure its a concept that has long lasting appeal.

It's pretty good, iirc some of the writers in the movie are in the series, and you really want some of the elements in the show to be carried to the film. It starts off right after the movie too.

Okay, completely forgot about this and went ahead and bought the season pass on iTunes

...and new episodes aren't coming out until Jan.!?

It's up on iTunes, but it's buried within the latest episode page if you don't have a season pass. So you have to open iTunes -> TV Shows -> Get the Latest TV Episodes -> Saturday to find it.

I take it despite DC nation being pulled, the eps will still come out in iT?

i guess that depends on the CN deal with Apple (maybe they didn't caught it in time and this ep passed or they are obligated to regardless due to what they agreed upon)

should be interesting to see if it happens again next week

Loved the Alan Scott reference. Just one of those episodes you don't expect that builds on the world, villain and characters so beautifully. Really hoping to see more Guy soon.

maybe the hiatus is to make DC nation a longer block?

Green lantern
young justice
beware the batman
and Teen titans go

Tomar-Re is Jeff Bennett, a.k.a. Dexter's dad, Major Glory, etc. Hmm... it could be Nigel too.

Would be hilarious if Tim Curry voiced Nigel.

something about TTGL being never original :P

i guess but it came before Green Lantern so my post still counts LOL

So there is word out that the DC Nation is going to be starting reruns on Boomerang starting next Saturday.

This doesn't sound good since Boomerang to me is more of a dumping ground now for stuff no longer needed on CN, than its initial purpose of remembering the "classics".

i really fucking hope not.

The feeling to me is that they are going to be extending the show to a 2 hour slot (with batman and TTG)

Way late to the party on this but just started watching the series up to the end of the Atrocitus arc.

What a great show. I dunno if I'd go as far to say it does for GL what BatmanTAS/SupermanTAS/JLU did for their comic universes, but it certainly has the potential to get there.

Obvious reverence for source material? Check. Understanding of the characters and what makes them great? Check. Winks and nods for superfans? Check. Great artstyle and voice acting? Check. Easily approachable to any level of fan, from full newbies to long-time fans? Check. It's even got a neat original character. Probably the only differences from the DCAU style are the focus on GL's recent history and the serial nature in lieu of self-contained episodes, but I feel both of those aspects make sense for a Green Lantern show.

What a fucking shame that it looks like this show is getting screwed over by CN. I really hope it hangs in there and we at least get a season 2. This should be getting much more success than it is.

I think DC animated shows will continue but they won't be serious anymore when they start doing new series. They'll be like Teen Titans Go! If so hope this means a Plastic Man animated series. Not sure why they didn't pick up a Super Best Friends Forever series, Lauren Faust will now be busy doing Wander Over Yonder new show.

Sadly, I'd be amazed if we got another season of this or YJ. CN has sent them both out to die.

Young Justice will most definitely be back, its one of the highest rated shows on CN. Stuff like Adventure Time, Regular Show and Gumball are obviously at the top and Pokemon B&W RD is a little bit higher.

Green Lantern has not been doing good, its kinda low. Its lower than what Thundercats was and that was cancelled(actually CN said indefinite hiatus) and GL obviously costs more because its CG.

So, really the only thing saving GL is that its part of the DC package.
