A buddy of mine that's a Dodger fan went to game 1 and game 7. He's trying to go to every stadium, this was number 24. He said he's never been around such vile fans than at game 1. He was at the closing game in New York last year it wasn't even remotely as close.

As a die hard Toronto sports fan, I want to FUCKING PUKE.

This was the most gut wrenching loss in Toronto sports history.

Yamamoto is not human. We were the better team all series except for when he was on the mound

I'm glad the Tokyo Dodgers could make Canada feel just a bit of what we felt at Pearl Harbor.

I watched maybe half of the World Series this year overall, which is probably more baseball for a season than I've gotten in over two decades. Hell, I'm a lapsed Cubs fan and I only tuned in for the last few innings of their clinching game however many years ago that was. Games were amazing but I'm not feeling any of the rule changes aside from maybe the pitch clock which I'm sure still exists but I guess they stopped making a thing of it by actually showing it now that the pitchers are used to it and not fucking it up?

Also, not sure why the Dodgers' Japanese Zero Pilots... err Aces are allowed to bring a shrunken version of Dave Matthews to the mound.

With the way the dude lost contact with home briefly while catching I think it was way under 0.1s. I guess I don't know how slow their slow mo was but it was tiiiight. At least dive for it if you're worried about not running through it in stride (?)

Wow, that's Red Sox level bad.

I woke up angry as fuck this morning.

seriously what a ridiculous loss. how the fuck did we lose that game?
I don't know bro maybe you should have played better. Maybe think about your at-bats and fielding. There was probably something for you to personally improve and it's important to do so as there is always next season.

They were only in it because the Dodgers were in the middle of a ridiculous batting slump the whole series. Outside of game 5 the Blue Jays did all their damage in a single inning, usually to a pitcher that was obviously left in too long or relievers that didn't have time to warm up. Outside of those innings they were just as inconsistent at scoring as the slumping Dodgers. Add in a lot of base-running errors, then you have your answer.

Honestly, the biggest reason everyone says they played so good was Yesavage being absolutely great.

Fuck. Damn Jays. What a choke. They had it. So many bad baserunning mistakes and runners left on base. And late inning pitching last night tanked at the wrong time giving up solo homers like candy.

But got to say this world series is the best Ive seen. Not just because Jays are in it. But all the crazy shit that happened in the series esp game 7.

Uhhh.. What? No.

Thats simply not true.

Jays were the better team all series, the better team doesnt always win. Ran into bad luck and couldn't close it out in the final inning.

When the Jays won, they won big, destroyed them. When Jays lost, they barely lost. No easy wins for the Dodgers, 2 of their wins came in extra innings (one of them went to 18 innings)

Jays had several easy wins this series. That's why people are saying they played better and lost.

A perfect metaphor for how the Jays ended their season

LOL. Thats why I always drive downtown with exception of occasionally meeting buddies to take a Go Train together downtown to watch a game. And knowing we'll make it back by the final trains. We arent waiting for the last ones at 1 am or so. Were beelining back to Union Station (about a half hour walk from the dome) to catch around an 11 pm train back to the burbs. And if we drive and park downtown, we arent beelining back as it'll be packed on the highway and other cars trying to get out of the parking lot. We'll just find a pub to chill for an hour or two and then head back.

By the sounds of it the city didnt even expand service or hours to all train services to take into account the shitloads of people wanting to go downtown or an extra innings game. LOLOL

And the city wonders why people prefer driving always desperately trying to figure out why people in the GTA dont like taking public transit. They actually think it has to do with whether or not the fare goes up or down 25 cents.

Nothing you wrote disproves anything I wrote. The Dodgers were atrocious at batting this series but still won. That's shows they are the better team.

Your comment about them winning big when they did win was covered by my comment how they only scored in groups in a single inning to a tired pitcher or cold reliever except for one game. Their scoring droughts were masked by big single innings. Game 5 was the only time they played consistently good baseball.

They played good baseball in all 7 games.

The dodgers had shit batting because the jays had good pitching.

The jays lost because they ran into bad luck and the dodgers made a great catch in the final inning

Let me counter your statements:

The Blue Jays couldn't score enough runs because the Dodgers had good pitching and defense.

The Jays lost because they ran into a great team and the Dodgers made the plays they needed to.

Wow, he might've made it had he ran full speed instead of sliding when it wasn't needed.

I'm not a baseball guy, enjoyed watching this WS though, but is there some sort of controversy or something about a broken bat? Or is it just a metaphor for the Blue Jay's season blowing up in the end?
Not a baseball guy, myself, but watched and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing (WS). I do know that broken bats are super common, so no controversy.
