Wii-U - Amazon listing UK prices and launch date

Both. I wouldn't say 'big' demand just demand and I wouldn't say 'very low' shipment just tight supply.
Sure. The 'very low shipment' was a reference to the 25,000 rumor. I personally think it's a mix of both the demand and the tight supply, as you said.

I totally think that rumour is just a mixture of bollocks and FUD it really wouldn't fit with their shipment forecast for the year, its quite possible there'll be less units available than wii launch but I don't think it'll be that much less

Not really sure where to throw this query up, as the mods have closed the Wii U Mega Thread in their infinite wisdom. I'm hoping someone here may be able to help:

I've got an ambassador program 3DS. I've collected around 15 games, the dual stick controller, the table stand etc. However, I've realised that I've not really picked it up in around 6 months and I just don't feel very enthusiastic about it anymore.

I'm considering dumping it on eBay for the Christmas rush. However, I'm also SUPER hyped about the Wii U launch and was wondering if there's any Wii-U related reason I should hold onto the 3DS? I don't really use the 3DS as a portable console anymore, as I don't often find myself in the position to need to fill lots of time on the move, and if I do have a few moments to kill, I'm more likely to jump on my Nexus 7. Are there going to be any cool crossover/link things between the Wii U and the 3DS that I may want to consider before I go ahead and dump the lot on eBay?

there's MH3GU/MH3U connectivity, for now. More will come in the future, definitely, but it's all speculation from that point on

LOL!
Been looking forward to see local pricing, mostly hoping it would be in the ball park of UK/ EU.
Oh well, $570 as the RRP in South Africa for the Premium Pack. At best they might shave off like $20 from RRP.

For the record, PS3 l
60gigor launch was slightly less than this here :p

Urgh. I need to discuss with UbiShop the possibility of reordering Assassin’s Creed® III - Join or Die Edition because I need to change card details but I can't even find it listed on their website now.

Heads up - some of my friends have moaned that Amazon UK have sneakily changed their Wii U pre-order arrival date from November 30 to December 14. I've checked and I'm still November 30, but it pays to look to avoid disappointment.

That's awful! My arrival estimate is still Nov. 30th - and that's with one-day delivery. So far, so good :D

Can't believe Amazon is seriously letting us keep these £100 cheaper Premiums. I feel like I'm getting an early christmas present from Jeff Bezos.

Until mine actually ships, I won't quite believe it..

Just think of it as Amazon passing on their tax savings to us. ;)

They cancelled my order saying they didn't have any stock, and haven't answered any of my emails asking for a refund.

I'd steer clear of them were I you.

Just a heads up - Amazon UK have reduced the prices of many Wii U games now.
Rayman Legends and Sonic Racing are especially cheap.

Preordered both of those - great prices! Still can't believe the New Super Mario Bros. U price. £44.99? Christ.

Also is Rayman Legends not releasing until February 1st? I hoped it would be earlier than that :(

Yeah. I've preordered Sonic along with my Wii U on amazon for launch, as that price is superb for what seems to be a great game.

Anything else though? Fuck that. Way too overpriced, which I wasn't expecting from Amazon. I'll shop around on launch weekend for NSMB and Zombi.

That Transformers Prime game got an 8/10 at IGN and Amazon have it for just over £30, I might pick it up depending on more reviews for that version.

I'm hoping there will be some Wii U games included in Amazon UK's Black Friday lightning sales week which starts on Monday 19th. I really enjoyed it last year, though I mainly ended up buying cheap socks.

From past experience. It'll be sent Thursday and arrive Friday AM.

For £199 (actually £182 in the end), I'll take waiting for release day.

I've just activated my 1-month Amazon Prime trial to get free expedited delivery. My £199 Wii U premium bundle is still on for release day according to my account.

Shopto just emailed me to say that I'm on for release day and they begin processing orders next Friday whoop!

Same here! :D

Wonder when they'll turn up? ShopTo have always got stuff to me the day before launch at least, but I've never pre-ordered hardware with them before.

Amazon never ship early. I have never received any preorders early. :(

I've never had them get a console to me on launch day(usually the day after), but I couldn't say no to a £199 premium pack. Knowing my luck they'll get the extra controllers and games I ordered to me on launch day but not the console.

If I don't get it on Friday I'll be mad. If i don't get it Saturday I'll be furious and talking to customer services.

Getting it for one hundred quid less is great but it's still a pre-order and I'm paying for their best delivery.

There's no excuse to not get it to us on Friday. None.

I selected One-Day Delivery to Denmark from Amazon (since I got a £199 Wii U, I wouldn't mind paying extra for fast delivery), so if I don't get it Friday I'll be mad - they don't deliver packages on Saturdays where I live.

I'll just be happy to get confirmation of getting it at launch even if it is a few days late.

Still need to pick up a game. Shame HMV is rather expensive on the game front so I can't fall back on my usual 10% discount.
