Let's talk fast food.

Don't ever eat fast food unless you are hungover and want an easy way to throw up and feel better. No other reason.

There are cheaper/healthier/tastier options at all times besides super long highways where you should have packed something else.

LOL I was just going to post how much I loved this thread because it didn't have health-nazi posts like this. Obviously it's bad for me, that's why I rarely eat it. And I exercise regularly so it doesn't really matter much in the end. Every once in a while I want a treat.

Anyway, I think I gotta try the Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich now. I am tiring of Mcchickens and want to try something new.

I'm so addicted to quarter pounders, it's the only burger I eat at McDonald's.

The double whopper is nice too but impossible to eat without making a mess.

I'm sure it does. Is that why it's struggling to stay open? is that why Quizno's is local? Is what why 1000 locations closed from 2007-2009?

So if I'm reading through your sarcasm correctly, you're saying Subway must be better than Quiznos because it's more popular?

I dunno. In my experience, popularity doesn't always equal quality. I've always thought Quiznos had better sandwiches than Subway. Another example: I definitely prefer Wendy's to McDonalds and Burger King, despite the fact that McD's and BK are considerably more popular. BK especially I don't really care for at all.

I've only had Quiznos once and it was less spectacular than I was expecting. That isn't to say it's bad (after all, one sandwich is a small sample size) as my brother enjoys it quite a bit. Subway isn't that great either.

When it comes to sandwiches, local places are almost always better. As far as chains go, Jimmy John's is pretty solid as well.

Just had Freebirds for the first time in Temecula,CA last week. Very similar to Chipotle and IMO I like it better. Also have the burrito perfectly wrapped so it never falls apart. Quality ingredients and a very nice atmosphere. I can see them taking over Chipotle in terms of popularity.

If you can finish the Super Monster burrito you get your picture on a Hall of Fame board by the cashier.

I love, love, love Freebirds. We have one right near us, and it's joyful eating there.

Taco Bell is pretty good too.

Schlotzsky's is godly.

Mcdonalds is terrible, but, fries are good.

Got damn do I love some Taco Bell.
It's trash and unfit for human consumption but I'll be damned if their 5-layer beefy burritos aren't the bane of my existance.

Hmm.

Best Burger: Five Guy's
Best Fries: Five Guy's
Best Fried Chicken: KFC (crispy breasts)
Best Nuggets: Wendy's Spicy Chicken Nuggets
Best Chicken Sandwich: Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich
Best Ice Cream: Dairy Queen
Best Off Beat Item: Egg Rolls (Jack in the Box)
Best non-Burger/fried chicken joint: (Cod+Fries) Ivar's Fish & Chips

KFC Famous Bowl.

This. These are so good.

Zaxbys is also good.

For an unsung different taste try Dairy Queen Brazier food. There burgers and hot dogs are actually pretty darn good. Also for $3.99 their chicken strip baskets with toast and milk gravy cannot be beat. They give you a lot of food in that basket for $3.99.

those old school mcdonalds toys were sturdy. fine chinese workmanship i guess. everybody has that "i had a bucket full of those things i shouldn't have thrown it away!!" story .... :(

Oh yeah, I 110% agree that local delis are way better than sandwich chains overall (and usually not much more expensive). I was just saying I'd pick Quiznos over Subway if I had to pick between the two, and the "Quiznos isn't doing well so it must be terrible!" argument doesn't really work for me. There are a lot of things other than food quality that can factor into a restaurant chain not doing well.

Fast food advertising helped me branch out into new horizons, away from the basic McD's burger I had eaten a million times. It made me try this:

"keep the hot side hot and the cool side cool!"

And the discussion on healthy food is nonexistant.

Chic Fil A's salads are awesome. Only $6 too.

Never been much of a fan of salads. I usually just go for the grilled chicken snack wrap with no sauce at mcdonalds.

The grilled club chicken at chik fil a isn't bad either (sauceless is still good).

hmmm... those fresco soft tacos at taco bell are pretty tasty too.

Do any of you remember Mexi Nuggets from Taco Bell? These weren't just tater tots, they had some crazy seasoning on them that took em to a whole nother level of fast food awesomeness. I think I ate them every day one summer.

Went to BK today, had an Angry Whopper (excellent, actually spicy), the seasoned sweet potato curly fries (awful, the fucking seasoning is CINNAMON for a savory chip?!) and the freestyle coke machine is the shit

The Volcano Burrito is the greatest thing to ever grace the Taco Bell menu. Sure, it's toxic waste, but its delicious toxic waste.

Volcano Burrito is so good. I usually order off the volcano menu when I eat Taco Bell, or I'll order a chicken burrito if I'm feeling cheap.

For fans of Cane's sauce, if you live in the south, try Whataburgers creamy pepper sauce. It's similar to canes sauce, but less sour/pickled, which is more appealing on my pallet.

Will try next time I go to Whataburger, never heard this advice before.

What fast food should I get to eat with the midnight launch of Halo 4 guys?

Like Stellactic mentioned, the A1 Thick n Hearty is a fine selection ( I usually get that or a Patty melt), but order a side of creamy pepper sauce ( 35 cents extra ) and use it to dip your fries in. Tell me how it goes
