Cool little feature I guess. Was expecting it to be Bungie Pro like render to video.
 
lol, one of the first challenges is really to get 13 kills with an ar in a single MM game

It also looks like they're using a non-silverlight video player, so that's good.
 
I knew i should have ordered from Shopto :(

I decided to wing it in the hope Morrisons will have it on the shelves at 8 when they open tomorrow as it's only 2 minutes away.
 
man, the terminal video are fucking amazing. they really, REALLY should have been included in the full game (like anniversary). i think they are pretty essential in "getting" the story.

Are they something that we should watch before or after the campaign?
 
so many quick kills in multi, it's halo 2 all over again :/ magnum someone at a reasonable pace at medium range and it does F all landing all hits, how poor is that handgun :(

Where are all the weapon drops gone? i'm on ragnarok and only found the rail gun, nothing at base every time I look apart from another pistol. It's a bare land.

Really? That sounds great. I like the idea of the Waypoint, but having it a completely closed off application was always a huge turnoff. Now I'll probably spend some time in it.

david said they didnt have the time to include the terminal videos into the main game.
but like mrbig said: you can launch waypoint from the halo 4 main menu and the new waypoint works much better and smoother than before.

Yeah, I suppose the enhanced Waypoint makes having to view the terminal videos from there a lot less of a chore than it otherwise would have been. Glad to hear they are not just some throwaway videos but actually some solid pieces of story.
 
does it seem like people are ranking up to 50 really really fast? the linked profile shows 9 hours game time already to rank 27.

i dont want to hit 50 after one week of playing.

you can enjoy the h4 story without them, but they greatly improve some of the characters in the game. i only unlocked 5 of them, cant wait to watch the other ones.
 
Does anyone know when those 2000 MS point cards that were talked about earlier for War Games Season Pass will be rolled out? I ordered from the MS store and got the $25 credit and was hoping to use it on that.

Game has shipped, I'm so excited.

Yeah because grinding is so much fun.

Fast progression ranks are good. It's fast competitive rankings that would be bad.
 
Is the Waypoint site fucked for anyone else?

I just wanted to check out my Reach stats but whenever I try to sign in, it gives me some error and won't let me proceed. Would my LIVE membership expiring have anything to do with it?

i wouldnt call it grinding, i never even hit general in reach, but the feeling of progression is always nice. im a "filling bars" kind of player though.

Well, there's at least 50 more ranks after that with Specializations.
 
I don't like how the two discs are stacked on top of each other. I'd have preferred one disc to have been in the opposite side.

So how much space do I need to install this? I have 8 GB on my old 20 GB hard drive, will that be enough? Or should I finally format one of my 16 GB USB sticks to use with this?

They're upgrading it for 4, so I imagine it'll be rocky for a bit.

That'll cover installing the MP, but not the SP.

If thats the type of thing you care about perhaps specializations, commendations, and challenges will scratch that itch.
 
Waypoint loads much faster, although it craped out twice before it would actually try to pull my Halo 4 stats. Reach stuff loads just about right way though.

Also I completely forgot they were doing Challenges in 4. I like the implementation much better this time (a ton of Weeklies instead of just one), but alternatively right off the bat we get a 13 AR kills in one match daily -_-.
 
I have two more days of work because I'm not doing midnight launch. Gotta wait for UPS to deliver it after work tomorrow. GAH! Can't wait!
