Post your Halo 4 launch pics

I just got back from the main event at the Microsoft Store in UVillage. Much of the staff were there including JayFresh, Stinkles, David Ellis, and others. There was lots of stuff there, but for some reason it wasn't as "crazy" as previous Halo launches I've gone too.

Didn't take pics, my girl was playing Bejeweled on my phone so I let her play and not yap about the long line. I got in Best Buy at 12:10 and was about the 30th total in line. They totally mishandled it as usual and the people who didn't pre-order had already been in and out from what someone told me as I was coming in. They do a walk-in, a online PO line and a in-store PO line.... Asked and they didn't give out anything at all here. Besides those Halo Vote stickers which they passed out at like 12:25 to everyone still there. The guy was like heheh here check these out hehe vote Halo.. lol

We drove by Gamestop on the way it looked to be less than half what it was for MW3. Still probably 100+ people outside at midnight and the inside completely wormed around the huge store.

You say that and post a picture of a warthog afterwards :lol

according to all these massive lines Microsoft must have a huge boner when it comes to it's next generation console solely because of Halo

What other games produce these kinds of lines and events? WoW used to before they pretty much went all digital. I don't pay much attention to CoD, but I'm sure that's an event as well. Anything else?

Signed by the Environment Lead and Sandbox Lead, Wes and Matt. I may have mixed those up. From the GameStop in Redmond. I told them I was skeptical when it was announced but thanked them for convincing me that they made a great game. They agreed that it was great, lol.

I think just CoD..I was in the actual line for Borderlands 2 midnight sale and it was pretty small and went by fast - maybe Grandtheft auto but Halo being a first party title to Microsoft with those massive lines still popping with excitement is a pretty good sign

The launches for Diablo 3 and Skyrim were by far the biggest during my year at GameStop. Doubt Diablo could pull that kind of crowd again though after its reception. Gotta love hype.

These pictures are all scary as hell.

seems kind of stupid to wait in line for hours when you have it pre-ordered. Oh yay the first person in line gets a 20 minute head start on the game from the last person in line. I just question the human race sometimes

What's so stupid about waiting in line?
It's all part of the experience; if you don't want to be around others that enjoy a game you enjoy, that's fine too.

You preorder so u don't have to wait in a line. Go and walk in and out. Never understood waiting in a huge line.

Preorder doesn't mean you don't have to wait in line, it just guarantees you a copy. They are waiting in line because they want to play the game now.

you still have to wait in line as they ring up your purchase. took me an hour to get through the line for halo 3.

this time i pre-ordered online, got the game for $20 and it arrived a few days before launch. fuck lines.

spoilers: a lot of people do just show up at midnight. it's midnight anyway, not exactly a lot to do around then on a weekday. in any case, unless you're somehow not seeing the rest of the pics in the thread, I'm not sure the atmosphere of the bigger launch events can be explained in text.

Guy was playing cutscenes from all the games, it was such a good effect, everyone was talking about the games, hardly any dudebros.
I don't get it. What's going on in that last picture?

I've always showed up 15-20 mins after midnight if I decide to go and its in and out. I get that you want to play asap but to sit in line for 2+ hrs or more is mind blowing to me. Your time is worth something imo.

To each his own I guess.

The fire department showed up because the smoke machine set off the smoke alarm. The alarms were still going for like half an hour.

The hero himself makes an appearance.

MLG Pro, motherfuc*er.

Can't wait to pick up my game.

EDIT:
Huzzah! Shepard's on his way to save the galaxy!

If I own all three games and their respective CEs is there anything in this edition that's worth a purchase?

Welp, Amazon just sent me an email stating my copy would be shipping "soon" and how sorry they are for the delay. Sux but I guess I'll be waiting another day or two. Hopefully it's here by the weekend.
