No more excuses! Gundam Extreme VS PS3 to get a BEST (cheaper) release in Dec!

Just upgraded my internet. I need to jump on this online with some GAF folks. It's time. lol

Make sure you jump on the IRC with us if you can! #gafgundam @Espernet

Everyone knows that Enron is the most free. GOT ON THIS GAME PEOPLE.

Enron, aka...

Does the game have english support or is it at least easy to navigate through the menus?

It's really easy to navigate as the main menu is in English and everything else has been translated in some form or fashion. I don't know Japanese and have at least > 500 hours on the game. :S

.

so is this game even playable with a normal PS3 controller? I read some about this game on another site, and they kept talking about sticks they used etc. :o

You know Enron is saving all that salt so he can convert it into pure ether in a decisive Rage Gouf match one day.

I wouldn't be surprised. Dude's been buying sticks!

My favorite Shuffle Alliance member ain't even in the game in either version. They can get back to me when Maxter comes in and punches the shit out of people.

Probably never son, never. :(

Lots of peeps use controller, especially those who played the previous games on the PSP. It's very playable and isn't a hindrance.

Totally absolutely 100% playable on a controller. I'm alwasy tempted to get a stick for it, but then I'd have more plastic crap taking up space. :-)

In some regards, pads have it easier than sticks because of button layouts. Another melee button on L1 = SEXY

I humbly disagree as I'm a stick player and love it, but yeah, it's totally doable with a controller and almost every GAFGundam player is a pad player, IIRC.

Wait for FB :v

PS they should make the timer during chara select longer.

It's longer in Full Boost arcade!

Oh, there's still a GAF comm? I was thinking of asking when I wrote up the news post. What time do you guys normally play?

Damn, I might have to bite at that price. I always wanted the game but managed to talk myself out of it due to price and my ever growing backlog of unplayed games. At a discounted price, it's like the universe is telling me to buy it. I'd be losing money by not owning it!

Good looking out! Replaced the link on top with the amiami link.

Amiami says 1500-2000 JPY for shipping to NA though, while Play-Asia says free shipping.. assuming that is what it means, at the cheapest for shipping, it would cost more at amiami.

Oh, didn't know play-asia offered free shipping now. Still, the equivalent method would be SAL, which would cost around 500 yen for shipping (1500-2000 yen is for EMS, which isn't free in play-asia either), so it would come out a bit cheaper. Also since they're in Japan they would probably ship earlier.

Still, not as much difference as I thought in the end.

I've been wanting this, but I just ordered EX Troopers earlier this week.. hmm..
Do it. You need VS mech action as well. :)

Damn. I've been on the fence about this for some time but figured I'd wait for FB. So conflicted.

FB still has a bunch of unlocks left to go in the arcade and it usually takes about a year or so for the home release to follow the arcade one with the VS series (FB came out in APR if I remember). I'm hoping we find out soon, but vanilla EXVS is still a blast.

I'll probably pick this up during winter break

Wanted another game to play on stick during winter break besides AE, but didn't necessarily want another fighting game.

Hopefully you can pick it up even cheaper through Ebay resellers like the initial release.

Can only recommend it. It's a fun 2v2 game with loads of salt sprinkled in between, due to teamplay. In terms of netplay, I have to say it's pretty good and so far it's been an enjoyable experience.

Make sure to visit the OT if you haven't played one of its kind before, even though there is not that much to learn there are still some technicalities that should be known.

Also I doubt that Full Boost will be out soon as others have mentioned before.

Pro tip: Use Acguy.

It's very playable with a normal PS3 controller. Though you might have to change some buttons.

If there's going to be a Hong Kong version of this down the line, that'll be the cheapest version to get. Anybody know if that'll happen?

There is already an asian version and it's the same price

I suck so much at this game (-_-")

Why would that be?

"tell me more..was it love at first sight?"
i am interested, but i will admit only for the single player, i watched a youtube vid and LOVED the speed and look, although i have no idea who some of the characters are..is the story going to be neigh impossible for me to follow?

thank you in advance

*ever since someone pointed out, with great irritation, that my i's where not capitalized, i've become self conscious -__-

edit: watched the 11 minute video, saw heavy arms releasing a barrage of missiles on a group of enemies=nonsexual erection
must have this game.

The characters are drawn from the various different Gundam universes and half of them have little to no connection to each other. There is a campaign mode, but that's not why you play. You'll be missing some great references, but that's all.
