Should've cast The Rock then.

It's going to be a movie with action and explosions. You don't cast Marky Mark for that. You cast the goddamn Rock.

Can't put The Rock in a Transformers movie. Have to wait until the inevitable Transformers Vs. GI Joe to do that.

I think he'd fit more with the dudebro marines next to Tyrese and Josh Duhamel.

I love this GIF so much :lol

Did you make that?
Not bad.
aren't they all dead?
Not all of them, we still have the worst of the worst, the one who will properly fuck shit up:

Nemesis Prime.....there is no way Optimus isnt evil after the third movie....steal from the X-men universe do an Onslaught storyline but using Optimus getting infected by Megatrons evil spark or whatever nonesense they want to spin.
Let Optimus have his own version of the Xavier Protocol.

Its about time Rodimus or Ultra Magnus lead the AutoBots.

Humans in Transformers. Wheeeeee.

I've been a Transformers fan since I was a child. I was buying the comic when it was a four-issue limited run from Marvel, I bought that robot who transforms into a semi truck when I was shocked to see there were toys of the comic I was reading, and I would convince my family to get our first VCR so that I could have Transformers cartoons on tap whenever I wanted to watch them.

I've never been a Transformers dork, but I've loved them for most of my life, and I always will.

So, that said... this idea that a Transformers movie shouldn't have some decent amount of focus on humans is ridiculous. Big robots fighting each other without any sort of human connection is nowhere near as interesting as some would like to believe. The original comic series had a huge focus on humans throughout its life, and so have various other parts of Transformers lore. (The cartoon didn't, but the again that was a sales tool to sell toys.)

As much as I love High Moon's TF games, I think they absolutely suffer by having no human element, and the most exciting point of the games has been when the two sides are on their way to Earth (due to what you know would be coming next).

Humans are a necessary evil in Transformers. They help to drive the plot.

Bay does not understand this. He thinks people go to watch Transformers to see celebrities and the military. All three Transformers movies were human exposition first, military second, bots third.

Any humans in Transformers should be a catalyst. Nothing more. I don't care about fucking hacking that has nothing to do with Transformers, I don't care about Sam job hunting that doesn't have anything to do with Transformers, I don't care about military plane drops that don't have to do with Transformers. All of that shit was superfluous and did nothing to drive the plot.

Use the Transformers principally to drive plot. Fuck the humans.

edit: Transformers Prime is a perfect example of this. IT has humans, and human interaction with the bots is a huge part of the show. However they managed to develop the bots enough so that eventually human interaction was not necessary. They scaled back the humans so much in season 2 you almost forgot they existed, and it didn't matter because you could relate to the bots themselves.

In Bay's movies this is impossible because the bots on either side are woefully underdeveloped. No one but Prime has any personality, ambition, or even a reason to speak. The humans are mandatory now because no one could care less what happened to any bot that wasn't Optimus Prime or Bumblebee. How did you feel when Arcee was killed on screen? I bet you didn't even realize which one she was.

I like mark for the most part. Or I really really just love the Other Guys, haha.

Interesting with the Con symbol with the logo. Maybe they gather up forces in space and come back for revenge with galvatron as the leader.

Would be funny to get the Rock to come on board. And Vin. YES. Haha.

I would like less human stuff myself, but it will have some of course. They have to. I hope it's not a shit script again.

And ILM better be in the house!!

I'm willing to compromise.

How about a Transformers movie where the fucking Transformers are the lead characters? How about that? Fuck Bay and his shitty ideas.

it'd be just like having a TMNT movie now a days where the turtles are the main characters.

Probably won't happen.

you know, that one shit about how people need humans to relate to and stuff.

Still everyone will go see it and give Bay more money to make more Transformers. Endless cycle of self-hating fans who can't resist.

I only watched the first Transformers in cinema, was disgusted. Never paid to see the others.

Not even Mark Wahlberg can save this franchise as long as Michael Bay has it in a stranglehold.

Wahlberg is a good actor. Three Kings, Perfect Storm, Italian Job, Huckabees, Four Brothers, The Departed, Shooter, The Other Guys, The Fighter. He's not as bad as people like to believe.
