I'd feel uncomfortable walking into a TRU as a person in my mid 20s. It just seems like a place I'd have no business in, since I don't have kids.

Yeah I'm the same way. I think this a normal response.
I went into one at 23 years old when they had a deal on video games and I quickly felt really out of place even though I was in the XBOX section.

I think there is some social disfunction here, but as I said before it doesn't concern me at all so if they are happy then whatever.

I don't get this fanbase at all. It really bothers me for some reason.

People like you are exactly the reason they are doing it. They actually want to bother people they might deny it but make no mistake my friend they're just trying to get A rise out of people and here you are hook, line and sinker. CONGRATS BROSEPH!

I watched one episode when it first started gaining it's crazy popularity just to give it a fair shake, and was curious why all these guys were splooging over it. I was even more confused after I watched it, cause it was just horrible.

Wow, at people feeling uncomfortable going into a toy store. Is there some kind of paranoia with people thinking you are pedo or something? Strikes me as immature and irrational.

Right? Maybe I would understand if they were stanning for something fierce like the Powerpuff Girls, but this is just...

I wouldn't feel uncomfortable walking into a TRU, but I would going into the little girl's section if I were genuinely buying something for myself. I collect 1/18 scale model cars and feel a little weird in the section that those are usually in. :p

I don't get the fandom over this cartoon, I tried watching an episode once, I don't get it.

I watched tons of cartoons and even recently shows like Adventure Time are better imo, yet you don't see people organizing a huge fandom around it.

Unfortunately it's kinda hard to tell... some people do it to be ironic, some people genuinely love it

It may often be a mixture of the two. Like it started out as a joke but at some point they genuinely started to enjoy it.

Like me using the word "nucka". I hate that I say it but I can't stop myself.

The fuck is wrong with ya'll? These dudes are just living their lives and have gained friendship with each other thanks to My Little Pony. Why is that a big deal? Why should anyone be mocked for a hobby that's harmless I'm sure some of you are going to act the same way come Sunday when the Wii U is released. But that's different because it's you and not them, right? You'd think people posting on an internet message board about fucking video games and other "geeky" topics would have a little more respect to those that get ridiculed for hobbies and personal likes that aren't necessarily popular with the mainstream and get made fun of constantly. Christ, this boils my blood. Ya'll should know better.

Then again, I don't even know why I'm surprised. It happens in Console Wars, DC vs Marvel, Star Wars vs Star Trek, ect... Now, it's happening with these bronies. "Geeky" people are always looking to put another group down to look superior. Fucking dumb.

No surprise whatsoever that none of them look like they've been inside a gym before.

I'm sure you're just a living, breathing Adonis, aren't you?

I know a couple of Brony friends but I just don't get it. If they're down there clamoring for new Star Wars toys, Transformers, or Thundercats I'd understand. But MLP?

He is a pretty good looking guy to be honest.

Pot head dude bro has spoken. Chill out, muddafuggers.

Probably why I won't ever watch the show.

You do realize videogames are mainstream as hell right? It's far from a hobby at this point. It's the biggest entertainment industry arguably.

Also, I am just confused about the bronies. No hate, just confusion.

When I was flying to Seattle (or Boston, can't remember), some guy boarded wearing a My Little Pony t-shirt, messenger bag with a pony on it, MLP hat, and an MLP lanyard. Needless to say, I'm thankful I didn't have to sit next to him.

Easy conversation starter.

"So...do you like MLP or what?"

Well this is insensitive. What would've happened if you sat next to him? Some of his Bronie goo would get on you?

Couldn't have said it better myself. Those who live in glass houses and all.

I just don't understand MLP because it was something that was reviled when I was a kid, like the Care Bears. If you were a boy and you watched My Little Pony you got your ass kicked, at the very least you got made fun of. I didn't realize things had changed that much in the last twenty years.

I can't even imagine how this whole thing got traction in the first place. Who was that first guy that said, 'Yeah, I'm gonna make this a thing.'
