Whats with girls interests?

All I ever see on the dating apps is chicks who are into Yoga, feelings, dogs, walking in the woods, spirituality, children, wine, poetry, emotional openness and all that bullshit.

Are there any chicks who just like doing fun shit? Who like videogames or hanging with the boys?

Like jesus I feel like I have to choose the least worst one. They are all into the dumbest things (imo)

Sounds like you should just turn gay.

Some of those points for me have perks.

Yoga = yoga pants 👀
Walking in the woods = I like a gal who likes getting outdoors, has some gusto and not sleeping in bed all day. If it's not some psuedo spiritual endevour and that they are just outdoorsy then its a bonus
Children = I want kids.

But yes I kinda get where you're coming from and I would probably also have my reservations over such a profile.

I think a lot of it is a charade anyway. I guess they think it makes them look cool and deep to the guys, when really I think they are subconsiosuly trying to standout or appease other women as that's a checklist of things that modern women think is cool/deep shit.

It's a social signalling thang to their own group and class.

Those are often just the socially acceptable things to write or talk about, while the true hobbies are different.
Guys wouldn't put gaming, and certainly not boozing or fapping.

A chick hanging with the guys probably isn't someone you want either, surely?

It's what they think is good to write. Doubt many really do as many walks or climbs as they imply. Probably just one offs, with Netflix, dinner with friends as the rest... as normal.

But take a stab, meet them and see what else they're into.

You do realise they probably don't list all their interests? They likely just list the things that the majority deem to be socially acceptable. Which means things like video games, anime, serial killer documentaries, dogging & BDSM are for you to find out in private.

I mean same question applies to you as well. Did you write you like to travel or arguing over video games on the internet ?

I'm very found of tv logos and idents, but I would've never wrote that in my bio, only my height and that I'm not bald

3 years ago mostly out of curiosity I tried a dating site to sample the goods.

Most women my age (I'm in my 50's) seem to desperately cling to their youth and look just sad/borderline pathetic with all that makeup and work done.

I'm sure some of them are nice persons but come on there's nothing wrong with looking your age.

Of course all the clichés were there like "I enjoy good conversations with a glass of wine", "a man that makes me laugh", "walks on the beach" oh and everyone does hiking. Everyone.

What made me chuckle is a bunch of them had pics sitting on a camel in Egypt 😄

My curiosity satisfied I cancelled before the 1st month was over.

EDIT: And yes I did include my love of videogames and my job title (Quest designer) on my profile.
Why be ashamed of something you love?

Ding ding ding!

Women do and like what other women do and like.
This is a rule of nature if there ever was one.

They simply have to put it there, because they think if other women put it there, it's important.

Besides, think about it.
A thin, attractive woman who likes an easy-going life and doesn't mind spending an afternoon on the sofa playing games or just taking a walk would never flaunt that on a dating app. Provided she needs the app to begin with, of course, because any man will be satisfied with her and stop searching. Those who need the app need to show they're putting in some effort, because they expect men to do the same. It's a charade to filter out immediately the men who (wisely) don't think these ladies are worth so much effort from the get go.

Ah.. Let us begin...
I agree with this take, not just because he is Mr. Golden Nuggets, Himself, but because I share this opinion on a 1:1 level.

They want you to make them laugh, they want to be a passenger princess, they want you to message first(99% of the time)if you're a certain height, swipe left, etc.
If you're apolitical or right leaning(GDIAF) politics being the new tickbox we have to get through is just fucking horrible and anyone gatekeeping herself because of it deserves that lonely cat lady life with salt and pepper dreads and hairy armpits. I'm going to find a woman that can put up fists, cook, bare kids and can make ME laugh. Cause, I already know I'm funny. I can cook, bake, garden, build, etc. I am looking for my other, complete half, not some tatted up, emotional unstable, delusional and backward thinking broad whos head is in bullshit like video games and horror movies or Disney and Marvel bs and stays knee deep into politics. I follow that so I can understand what is going on around me. That is it. Fuck emotional attachment to politics. Period.

Wait til you find out they're also psychologically and emotionally wired differently than men 🤯. That's more challenging to navigate than simply having different hobbies, but I'm pretty sure overall women like going out and doing 'fun stuff' together, except gaming and hanging with the boys.

All the things you listed are more or less a dream gal for guys (dogging probably excluded).

This can be considered controversial, but while men and women tend to have similar average IQs, men have wider variability; so there are more male dummies and geniuses than female:

I would not be surprised if this trend carries over into more things, such as there are more women who are genuinely fans of the median socially-approved hobbies and behaviors.

Ironically, for a while there, one socially acceptable trend was for women to make fun of other women for being "basic". This was something that many basic women enjoyed doing.

Is this the female equivalent of dudes holding fish in dating app photos?

The vast majority of dating profiles contain bullshit written to appease to a general public, although it just makes these people seem less interesting.

In my half century of living, these are the usual things girls are into. Sure, you have outliers, girls who like to hunt, skate, video games and such, but girls who are looking to date (not hook up, date) want to show they are into girl things. To girls, those are fun things to do. Guys might not understand them, but also learning why the person likes to do this (say crocheting or scrap booking) is also part of learning about who a person is.

Guys will also want to post things that make them look good in the long run (also not hook up, date).

Animals, for both genders, show not only they are looking for someone who likes the same type of animal, but it also shows they have the ability to care for something besides themselves.

It's also depends on culture. Girls, from, say down South, may list different things than the girls in the Northeast or Southwest.
