How....? I've never had this happen ever. :( Grats though!! How did it go?

And yes, my date went poorly. He canceled early for reasons I can't figure out. It was going really well too, not awkward, decent convo. Who knows. I was really excited about him too.

My SWTOR black/red Imperial insignia shirt. I wore a black/gray stripped button up over it, and after a few drinks I took it off in front of a bunch of people watching. I got quite a few woos. :)

It was really graphic, I'd probably get banned for saying what he said. He got so excited telling his story I could hear it over me working out. At first it was like "did he just say what I think he said" and then he coninued talking and got really in depth. My brother is really obese so it made me even more grossed out.

I don't often complain online about irl stuff but this was horrifying.

Oh and this thread has been really inactive lately so I thought it wouldn't hurt to post it in here so people can be amused at my horrifying experience.
 
Hey GayGAF, I'm kind of in an interesting situation.

My BF of 3 years is failing his last college classes he needs for his degree, he's looked for help from teachers/tutors/students but still can't seem to bring his grades up. Now because of this he won't be able to get his degree and since he won't be able to his current guardians (his uncles who are gay too) will freak out and most likely kick him out since they paid out of pocket for these classes after he lost his grant for school. It doesn't help that his uncles are pretty controlling and don't let him leave the house except once a week and only allows people over twice a week to visit him.

They also seem to have clashing personalities, his uncles and him. They both think they're right about everything and won't see reason to try to work out a compromise, it's either their way or no way.

I've been trying to get my BF to see reason to still stay here in FL and try to keep on finishing his school and retake the classes but he's pretty much done with everything here and hates it. So now he wants to move to Washington and is laying out plans to go by years end...when he barely has any money and no job.

I don't know what to do, he's my third relationship and my longest lasting one. We pretty much understand each other and work out our problems well. He wants me to come with him to Washington but with the lack of money myself and me trying to plan out to go to PAX East next year while juggling bills of my own with a seasonal job I'm barely getting by on, I'm not sure.

I want to try to get him and his uncles to work something out but...just seems so unlikely of them to give and listen each other out...
 
So... I met up with a guy last night I've been talking with for a bit. It was a fun experience. He seems like a good guy... Now that we've met up, it's that sit and wait period to see if he'll make another move to want to meet up again.

I hate this process. ._. Crushing hurts sometimes.

Sometimes it's best to let things develop on their own. He may change his mind after seeing how difficult a move would be.

you mean the guy bailed out during the date? what an asshole, good riddance. I hope he had good reasons but still, he should have explained.

about the shirt, haha, you are such a tease, maybe your date was a bit overwhelmed with your muscleness? hahaha, you need a guy as big as you (was he?) by your side otherwise they'll feel belittled.

regarding my date, well, there are LOADS of gay guys in every gym so try turning on your gaydar while working out, watch faces carefully and then just look randomly for atheltic or muscle guys near you in the internet site (you use OKcupid, right?) and something might appear... but you muscle guys make yourselves sooo unavailable, lol, I was the one who wrote to the guy and after weeks of just fooling around in the site (I use gayromeo) with short messages, HE was the one to suggest a date... I thought from the get go that I wasn't a canditate for anything other than gym-buddy because he is really muscled and I am small, but eh, it's nice I guess.

It was already mentioned that sex is possible (meaning we like each other physically).... whether we should go there and risk the friendship, we don't know. He is out of town so everything is in pause now.

agreed. Write or says nice things that will let him know you are up for more but aren't deseparate and looking to get married (even if you are lol.).

Good phrase: "Hey, I had a blast in our date, I think you are a really cool guy and think you are hot ;)"

Bad phrase: "I think you are a special person and would like to see what could happen between us" (even though the line doesn't say much, by the time you say this, the bail out alarm will be sounding as loud as possible in his mind)

that's based ON MY EXPERIENCE but say and do whatever you feel is the right thing, I don't know your date. :P
