PS+ for PS Vita comes next week with FW 2.00, games revealed (WOW)

The browser gets updated? Is that the one mentioned in the html5 thread?

We know there is a "Vita Beta Browser" being used, and that its score is much higher than the existing one we currently have, so it must be arriving eventually, makes sense that with the PS3 getting it's HTML5 sorted and the new store that the new Vita browser with better HTML5 functionality would be coming sooner rather than later.

How is this going to work on Vita? On PS3 can't you only play plus games if you are connected to the internet? The connection on my vita is less than perfect and I guess that means I can't play these games anywhere that I don't have wifi access?

I have a feeling this isn't going to dramatically move units. PS+ has been great as a value, but it hasn't helped Sony to move more PS3's, or if it has, they'd have been WAAAAY down compared to what they are now.

I doubt it will shift units alone. But it will certainly contribute. I think this is a good way to sell vita units to existing ps3 owners, as those with plus already can buy a vita knowing they have some games to play.

Wow, even though I own all of these games (the retail ones anyway) this is really a fantastic start to PS+ for the Vita.

Now thousands of new Vita owners can see for themselves just how mediocre of a game Gravity Rush really is!

PS+ was genreally not used for selling system, it was for keeping people play on ps3 regularly and keep logging on psn and see the stuff available

Now for Vita, they are trying to make it as a selling feature

what? you don't need to be connected to the internet to play ps+ games.

Being able to wirelessly connect my Vita to my PC excites me as much as the PSPlus freebies.

Is there something wrong with me?

...
Its been known for WEEKS that this will come rather soonish. Anyone selling their Vita in the last month or so deservedly gets punished.

I honestly forgot about this and thought even when it did drop it would have some shitty games available. Boy I was wrong.

I guess I'll wait until black friday and see if I can get a Vita for like 150 or something. I sold mine and 3 games for 275.

This is awesome, was thinking about either buying Gravity Rush or a new memcard lately, now the choice is clear lol. I still would like to buy a physical copy though :(

The only thing I ask for is the Vita content manager program to include the ability to access and download stuff from the PS Store. The PSP content manager program has it, why not the Vita?

excited about email app and browser update I only buy retail so ps plus is meh to me

1080p YES!!! gonna fill up my 16gb with stuff to watch on the go

Yes you can. Being offline doesn't change anything.

How does the system know if you are still a plus member or not? If you cancel you lose access to all the games so I thought you had to be online for it to check. If you don't have to be online, great news!

A bit disappointed with the EU offering against the US one, but it's still pretty awesome.

One question. With the saves being linked to the game bubble, would I be able to trade in Uncharted & then download it via PS+ and keep my save? Or is this not possible?

There's an expiration date on the games that locks them when your subscription ends.

been stuck in meetings and now reading this ... have most of them but it's pretty cool that a new Vita owner will have tons of stuff to play with PS+!

Does anyone knows if the Plus Benefits we get for Mexico are the same as the ones advertised by SCEA?
How often are new games added?

At 5 euros a month this would be a no brainer for Vita, got a 16gb card too. Not sure if I want to give up homebrew tho, even if I haven't started it since the first time I tried

I've got Rush and Wipeout already damn...

Dunno if I'm keeping my copies or going digital (although that's going to fill up my card fast if I redownload the games).

Great, well this means I need a bigger memory card, and I've just got my Vita, heh!

Wait that is SCEA? Fuck I hope SCEE has at least Wipeout and Gravity Rush. Anything else is a bonus. Hope they don't screw it up.

uncharted and gravity rush are about the only two cartridge games I have. Will I be able to use the sabres from my cartridge version on the digital?

Well... I already own 4 of the 6 PS+ Vita games but I don't care!!! This is... awesome :) I hope it gets more people to grab a Vita and soon. It's a great device, you won't regret it.

I actually do *NOT* own uncharted so that's gonna be cool to finally play.

Thanks, Sony

Nope, digital and retail sabres clash with each other so far.

However, they might add that the sabres can be uploaded to cloud storage and then used for digital games. We dont know yet though.

Very smart move of SCEA not only will they gain sales they won't be losing so much from it since the Vita user base is currently quite small so instead of waiting to release the titles over time they just decided to put it all at once. Not only will this gain sales they'll have a lot of subscriber's after the end of month combine that with black Friday.

Nice, all the games I already own.... I wonder if my data will carry over if I send the save from the cart to cloud and then use one of these versions.

I'm interested in this as well. The video says something like "better html5 and java support." Well, to my knowledge these don't even work unless there are specific apps that use these. I can't go on youtube.com in the browser and use html5 or view any giantbomb videos in html5 on their site like you can on an ipad. I really hope real html5 support is in.

I'm up to your plan Sony! You want me to spend the big bucks on that 32 GB card do you? AHAH You can't fool me.

ok you win.

And europe Vita offerings are still a great offering. I'm sure we'll have Wipout in the next wave of instant collection Vita games. I won't sell my retail copy though. This is truly our Ambassador program. The email client is huge also. At least for me it is. Have a podcast client in the next firmware update and I will finally ditch my old 5th generation 80 GB iPod.

They really should start pushing PS+ in TV ads, especially the Instant Game Collection. People like free games.

1. Package 3 months of PS+ with Vita, and 4GB memory card;
2. Advertise all these games (Wipeout, Final Fantasy, Uncharted, Gravity Rush) and more that you get free* with Vita;
3. ?
4. Profit!

Seriously. There is nothing to lose here; nothing!

They could at least give me a discount for the insta-free games I like them enough so I can keep them after my rental service expires something they still don't do in the store because the store thinks you "own" it.

They'll probably never do that. They want you to resub to keep playing.

Even 1 month would do the trick I think.

Yes, they should do it now.

Now its a system selling app

This is a great time to buy a Vita if you haven't got one.

Pick up one of the bundles out there Assassins Creed, LittleBigPlanet, COD
Then get PSN+ and have Uncharted, WipeOut, Jet Set, Gravity Rush, Mutant Blobs for free (if you have a PS3 PSN+ is even more amazing)
Then there is a good backlog of games out (UMVC3, Need for Speed, Mortal Kombat, SFxT, Virtua Tennis, Rayman, Unit 13, MGS, Hotshots Gold and etc).
And finally some games to look forward to (All Stars Battle Royal, Persona 4, Killzone, Tearaway, Soul Sacrifice).

That's awesome!!!

I never got around to buying Uncharted: GA, and am really glad now that I held off. I did buy Gravity Rush though, but I also already traded it in, so now I'll have a copy to keep.

I've never played Final Fantasy Tactics and have been eyeing it on that store for the last number of weeks now. Glad I'll finally get to try it, no strings attached.

Hell of a first showing for the Vita + members.
