PS+ for PS Vita comes next week with FW 2.00, games revealed (WOW)

So, even if I don't own a Vita yet, I can "buy" all ths stuff to add it to my Plus games and whenever I finally buy a Vita, I'll be able to download it as long as I still am a Plus subscriber?

My interest in the Vita has increased quite a lot TBH.

yes

I think we should add this to the OP lol

Seriously this is amazing. I had a minor interest in the Vita. Now I think I might pick one up next week.

So glad I didn't buy Uncharted last week. It's a shame I already own all the other ones though.

But Uncharted for FREE. Thank you!

Holy sheeeeit.

I always had a passing interest for the Vita but this is something that would just make me buy one
if I had the money
.

I'll be putting these games in my PS3 cart in the meantime! Would be cool if JSR also came to the EU PS+, but not owning the system I wouldn't dare to complain about anything ahah.

I picked up the AC: Liberation Vita bundle two weeks ago, and as a current PS+ subscriber this is great news. This is really going to give me an instant game library, just as they advertise. Awesome.

Thanks to the cross-buy function I already got quite some free PSN games for the Vita, but now with PS Plus I get the retail games for free too!
The Vita is turning out to be the cheapest gaming device I've ever had :D

The offer is awesome but what i don't really like is that it seems whenever you'd decide to NOT be a plus subscriber anymore you "lose" access to those games (unless i understood it wrong)

hmm...

Far better offering than I thought we'd see. Pity (for me) that I own almost all of them. Still, you have to imagine that a pretty good chunk of ps+ users without a Vita will pick one up this holiday. Great value.

The keys are only valid for however long you're subscribed, but you can resubscribe whenever.

It's like a rental service but with odd restrictions and freedoms on the library.

You cannot play them if you don't have a sub.

However if you re-subscribe later you'll regain access to all the old games you redeemed before. Your instant game collection doesn't reset to nothing between subscriptions.

Too bad I own 4 of the those free Vita games. Wireless content transfer and 1080p video support? Fuck yeah!

PS+ Vita content will be posted on the PS3 Store and PS+ cloud saves will let you transfer game saves from retail carts to the PSN version.

I'd still hold for 100% confirmation this works for all games before getting too excited. I think Gravity Rush handles saves off-cart that you can backup to a PS3 system. I don't have my cart anymore, and still have an item for it when i go to the backup options. Dunno about Uncharted. That question was specifically asking about those two.

By the time your subscription expires I doubt you're going to want to play any of those games again anyways.

At first I was slightly miffed that I already owned everything on Vita+, then realized I was reading the EU blog page.

JSR for Free, hyess

Amusingly, if I get PSPlus I should also work out how to nab all the PS3 stuff too. It could be a case where I swap my 360 for a PS3 because of this.

Wow, that's...

Guess I'll buy a Vita now, since all I want for it is free of charge
excluding P4.

Wow, nice job Sony.

From a personal standpoint, for future PS+ releases, it would be a great idea for Sony to put HSG World Invitational on the free games list for Vita at the same time they release the full version for PS3.

The on-line component for this game is phenomenal, but the user community has dwindled to a trickle over the last couple of months.

Isn't HSG cross buy ?

When my phat PS3 died and I couldn't afford to replace it for 2 months, I had a trusted friend log in with his PS3 and go through the checkout process on my PS+ games.

If you have a trusted friend with a PS3, you can ask them to build up your instant game collection until you get your own PS3.

Huh, and today was the day that my PS+ expires too. Best timing possible to get me off the fence about renewing.

I have all of those Vita games except for Jet Set, so I'll snag that one. Actually I used to own wipEout 2048, but I ended up trading it in a while back for LBP Vita, so I may redownload that.

Good thing I'm buying a bigger memory card this week. I think I may end up getting that 32GB one after all (I was going to get a 16gig).

This is a great start for PS+ Vita. Looking forward to seeing what else they have in store for it. Perhaps some other cool PSP titles and PS1 titles in addition to the Vita titles.

That $5 a month thing is just the total value of the subscription diluted by its duration period. You pay $50 per yearly Plus subscription that gives you access to the instant games collection on the PS3 and from now on on the Vita also. Those games are yours to play and download whenever you want as long as you are a Plus member.

Oh I see thanks for clearing it up.

Well it will probably be release next year.

A Vita Slim? that's highly unlikely... Sony's just limping along with Vita as it is; they aren't going to dump R&D and Engineering budget into a cosmetic overhaul for a system they can't sell now... No way we'll see a redesign next year.

As for PS+ for Vita... I own all the games but JSR, but I'll buy in just for cloud saves and future considerations... ;)

They will redesign it if it means making it cheaper to produce.

is this library going to be constantly growing or will it be changed (games replaced) from time to time? So if someone buys a vita in 2013 and gets ps+, will these games still be available to play?

Yoshida already said as much. Or maybe Treton. One of them said that Sony engineers are working to reduce the cost of the Vita. Vita 2000 is guaranteed.
