Sony should implement something similar to what Nintendo are doing into plus.

Like the more games you buy you get a discount off of another game

Yeah I understood what you meant, I'm just thinking the economics of the two services are very different. Sony "give" away an amazing amount with PS+, I'm not sure how much further they can go without causing themselves (or the service) problems.

You're right. For now i prefer maybe use the money it would go to the subscription to get maybe Most wanted or COD.
Still not sure which one to get.

In the promotion of the SCEA the only game i don't have is JSR and i must say sony is trying to have a nice Christmas for the vita since you can buy a vita, drop 18$ for 3 month plus and have a bunch of awesome games to play trough a good time.

It would get me have a vita, the question is how much parents and gamers know about this ps+ promotion to make them choose vita over 3ds?
i guess sony should print this ps+ promo on the vita boxes xDD

Crikey, now I have to try to sell GR and Wipeout 2048 before next Tuesday (and hope that my saves somehow transfer, but backups seem to indicate first party games aren't stupid like UMvC3 and will allow me to do so).

I though of doing that, but my 16GB is almost full and I play Wipeout almost daily. What I think that I must do is sell the 16 GB to buy a 32 GB (and keep the 4 GB for the JP account).
 
Completed uncharted Japanese version. Is there any benefit to downloading the UK version under PS+? Eg DLC or something else?
 
Do people usually shut off their Vita when not in use or put it in sleep mode?

Also is it fine to leave in sleep mode? How long will the battery last in that mode?

Lastly, when putting in sleep mode, why doe it take so long for the blue light to go off? Like 10sec?

Those 10secs.. not sure buy might be saving the state for standby? Might just turn off the screen but still be working for a while after you press the power button.

Should be fine to leave it in standby. I like to restart mine every now and then for performance's sake (sometimes get bugs in games when resuming from standby - only one I know of is GTA Chinatown).

Some people like to power off at night and leave it in standby for the rest of the day. Not necessary but I like doing this too, although I often forget to power it off.

Can't say how long it lasts if you leave it in standby with a full charge but I'd expect at least a few days.

If I'm around and know I'm coming back, only putting it down for 10 minutes or so, sleep mode.

I usually turn it off though.
 
I always have mine in sleep mode. Only turn it off when the battery is flat.

Usuallt lasts a couple of days in sleep mode.

Awwww so its not like the PSP where I can put it in sleep for 1-2months?

Its now like a smartphone or tablet where even in sleep its still on internally?

It's still on, yeah. Carries on checking messages, syncing Near etc.
 
That's the entirety of the PSN description. Apparently they're going to detail it after it goes public on the Store. First game I've ever seen announced after its released ...

What stylus do you speak of? Havent touched that topic yet, but if I'd go for an app like this I'd want a stylus. How do I find a good one that works for the Vita?

I just ordered some off amazon a while ago to use with VLR - there was a four-pack of cheapo styli for smartphone/iDevices with capacitive touchscreens. They work fine and were $1.50 shipped free from Hong Kong. It's a plus that they have a clip that fits on my wraparound vita case too. These are the ones I got.

Do you think having a protective foil would still work with those styli? Does that matter at all? Also, all of those have a rather large "tip", wouldnt a small tip be more useful for drawing?

From what I can tell, there really aren't capacitive styli with pointed tips - though I could be wrong about this. The tips have to be soft, so they tend to be larger and rounded. I do think a smaller tip would work better but I haven't seen anything like that.

As for working with a protective film, I've had the Sony screen protector installed on mine and it still works ok in paint park, though I haven't tried to do anything too complicated in there.

Hm, thank you. I'll look around a bit for those. I mean they dont need to be pencil thin, but even half the size sounds somewhat reasonable.

Just got to booting up NFS MW for some extended time.

Fuck that game is great. Love the open world. So many sweet ass jumps. Love searching for new cars. Oh ya, and the races are awesome. Going to be obsessed with this game for a while.
 
I don't know if this really fits for this thread, but does anyone else have a problem with the Vita's Netflix app? I'm a user in Canada and I can't get a single video to load. It always get's stuck when loading a particular video. The progress bar fills up to about 25%, then gets stuck there for about 5 minutes, and then a window pops up saying "We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title."

I've googled around but people only seem to have login issues rather than loading issues :(

I'm in Canada, and have been using Netflix for a while on Vita, no issues. When in doubt on Vita though, perform a hard reset (hold down power for a while) or get closer to your router.

Tried that. Didn't work. I also tried deleting and reinstalling the app and changing the quality settings on the Netflix website. It really seems that the app is having some problem. Are you using the latest version of the app?
 
Android Tablet and Vita is gonna take up 90% of my screen time.

Love this White Vita.

Been playing Ultimate GnG. Just beautiful.

Tried Uncharted demo, dont get the hate, i thought it was alot of fun, especially the fire fights. Seems itll be more fun than UC3. Cant wait for PS+ so i can play the whole game.

Played Gravity Rush demo, not bad, the gravity thing will take time getting use to.

Also DL Zero Escape demo, will give it another try, wanted to play around with the vita instead of reading stuff.

I also downloaded MHFU, after playing MHP3, That hitbox is sooo annoying.

Lastly, I havent even touch AC:L that came with my Vita. Will do tommorow.

Overall had the Vita for a few hours and loving it.

What is it now, 720p max? And how would they do that? Video app improvements...or cpu clock speed bump?? :D

I'm on 1.02 of Netflix. Is that the latest version for Vita? I just checked, and videos still work for me.

Where do you live? I'm in Toronto.

The only problem I have with the Neflix app is that as an EU GAF I DON'T BLOODY HAVE IT DAMN YOU SCEE!!!!

I imagine they didn't enable 1080p playback since the screen only has a 544 display in the first place. Even 720 isn't running in full resolution so there is no benefit in watchin a 1080p stream except it probably uses the batter

The benefit of course comes from being able to access all the content that IS a 1080p version without having to re encode stuff.
 
There's supposed to be a demo for Colors, but it's still not up lol

Also, the PlayStation Mobile store has updated with Alien Breed, and Panic!
