PS+ for PS Vita comes next week with FW 2.00, games revealed (WOW)

The games are great, but I'm looking forward to the HD playback for PSN content. I get download codes for movies in HD all the time for using my PS visa card.

W o o o o w @ that Instant Game Collection. It's definitely designed to entice people to buy a Vita, as opposed to getting Vita users to join Plus but still, pretty amazing. I've already got 4/6 of those games so all this really means for me is free JSR (which is pretty awesome), but if this gets more people to buy Vitas, I am 100% okay with Vita Plus giving me stuff I already own, haha. Great launch for Vita Plus and kudos to SCEA.

maybe, but if i was a 3rd party publisher i don't know if i'd be so happy that they're going in so strong with this, plenty of people on this thread already questioning if they'll need to buy so many retail games in the future. heck, i'm going through the same thing myself with PS3 games, i've bought hardly anything for it since Instant Games Collection started. it might just be the thing that Vita needs to kickstart hardware sales in the west though (do we know about Japan's Vita PS+ yet?)

SCEJ needs to offer up some RPGs. I believe the instant game collection is year round, so next year you will have different games.

I think the Instant Game Collection strategy is more of a reaction to Sony seeing that a lot of people hacked the PSP to pirate games. But with PS+ on the PS3 and Vita now, people don't have to go through the trouble of hacking their system to play most games since it'll be offered with a yearly fee.

Fuck this is almost exactly selection I wanted got my Vita. UC3, Gravity Rush and JSR for free? Yes please. Already got Wipeout but a DD copy would be nice. Time to renew dat PSN+ sub.

Not really. Europe gets less games in PS3 Instant Game Collection but we get much much better games.

Hopefully it will be the same on Vita.

We haven't even consistently had less games on PS3 anyway. For a couple of months, we had the same number of titles and for one, August, we even had more.

I expect there'll be something similar with the Vita, especially seeing as SCEE confirmed months ago that two indie PS3/Vita titles (Knytt Underground and Big Sky Infinity) will be appearing on PS+ as soon as they come out.

Where can I find this? I missed the wave on the previous ones for the US.

I'm not sure about US, because I don't have a working card. But you can pick up codes pretty regularly on Facebook including currently for the EU. Just keep your eyes out.

Quote for a couple of codes from that promo. I presume they still work! (Taken)

I actually looked at a Vita pretty closely in the shops today. I didn't purchase because I still feel it is a hardware revision away from something I really want (and money is tight etc etc). But I'm certainly a lot closer.

Don't know. Most of the people buy the games on the first month from launch. That means that all those people don't wait until the game is 20%, 40% or 60% cheaper.

If you really want a game, probably you won't want to wait months or years if that game ends on a PS+ giveaway. May affect low-tiers 3rd party, because people won't go to a shop looking for sales in the sale bucket because he already finished the last one and don't have anything else to play. But a lot of those sales are used games, that aren't giving any benefit to the publishers, right now.

Also, obviously Sony is paying something to those 3rd party publishers to put the game on PS+, and is probably much more than the first-hand sales of a game that has been launched a year (or more) ago. Also, it allow to sell DLC to a lot of userbase that wouldn't have bought the game.

Now if only the Vita had a big price drop..

Man, you're way too greedy. Want tons of games and also a cheap console?

Also, if you're not PS+, get sure to get it now and download any free PS+ game on PS3. Then, when you'll get your big price drop, you'll have also a huge backlog.

Nice! Took the last one man, appreciate it.

Nice. I'm not sold on PS+, since I've already played nearly all the games on the list I'm interested in. But that is some serious incentive for those with PS+ who are thinking of getting a Vita. Well done, Sony.

If one has PS+ but not a Vita, can these games be added to your DL list from the PS3 storefront and then played at some point in the indeterminate future when a Vita is acquired, or does your account have to be active on a Vita to get them?

Answered a million times already.

Yes you can.

Really tempted in doubledip and get a US PS+ account. I have to check the amount of different titles in each platform. There is any comprensive list of all games that there has been on PS+ on US and EU?

Great selection. I have Gravity Rush and Mutant Blobs but even without those it's quite good. Uncharted, Wipeout, and JSR? Yes please.

So what's the best site to quickly find out Vita, PSP, PSX and PSN game sizes? The list posted earlier in the thread was very helpful, but I'm compiling a full list of everything I want and currently have and want to figure out how much total space I'd need.

PSN Store lists the size of everything now.

TY! Used the second one. :)

I think I'm gonna get a year subscription. Even though I own Wipeout 2048, I have rented Uncharted and Gravity Rush. So I'm looking forward to get them back.

This is a great value. Might make me eventually cancel my Gamefly.

Sucks that I have every retail game on that list.
EDIT: Or maybe I can just sell Uncharted, Gravity Rush, and Wipeout. Hmmmmm...

Aaargh, I just *bought* GOlden Abyss, and I probably won't want to play through it more than once, anyway.

Now I *really* wish I'd gotten UMvC3, instead.

That seems kinda dumb, why not include it under game details? Seems like it'd be more useful than 3D Compatible Y/N.

There's really no website out there that's collected this info in one easy to find place?

Welcome to playstation.

edit: Maybe Wikipedia or some user run thing.

Haha Wikipedia was the first thing I tried after playstation.com foibles and no go. Googling isn't helping either, can't believe a group of Sony superfans hasn't gotten together and come up with something.

This is a great move on Sony's part, I'll definitely be giving the 3 month sub a go. Also happy to see the "custom size" option is back for ps1 games, I was pretty bummed when I noticed it was missing.

Those specific 6 games, cloud saves, improved html5 browser, automatic updates, AND cloud saves, in one weeks time?

Redemption. All is forgiven.

Is this the Final Fantasy Tactics version that runs at something like half-speed during all the animations and such?

Or did that ever get fixed?
