"We billionaire vigilantes sure love our toys"

That and the fishnet and Bludhaven references, those just put a massive grin on my face :D

The little sister is such a one note character. It's gotten so that I groan whenever she and Ollie have a scene together...

Show is very entertaining right now and yet the lead is so bad. It's replacing Nikita as my favorite CW show running right now since that is just turning into boring rogue-of-the-week stuff.

Its fun seeing a character killing people for once. Isn't everyone sick of all these heroes never killing anyone? I love seeing arrows to the eye socket. Much more entertaining than a cop putting cuffs on some dude.

Yeah I'm glad he's murking people. I had a feeling since this was CW that he'd just be knocking people out but he's actually murdering the bad guys.

more on island stuff please! i am loving this show. with the amount of tv shows i watch (a lot), it's always telling which shows i watch on my dvr or pc first.

I'm gay. :p This helps me overcome some of Stephen Amell's limitations but the actress who plays Thea doesn't get the same blind spot.

I honestly dont have a problem with Stephen Amell. Sure, he isnt a good actor, but the strengths of this show is the action and the pacing, and I can actually believe that Stephen Amell can actually do this stuff

Remember that one action scene with China White of the triads? I found it totally ridiculous since the actress just couldnt make it believable that she was some awesome, super strong martial artist

That is one reason why I am glad that they didnt swap the sister and the the lawyer's actresses. I could probably believe the redhead could take people down with some martial arts. I definitely would have a hard time believing that the sister could do that. I'd have an easier time believing that a stiff wind would knock her over

If you've seen Supernatural, you already know that Katie Cassidy can kick some serious ass. ;)

This is sure to make fanboys and girls everywhere dizzy with excitement: Fringe alum Seth Gabel is joining Arrow as a “scary and nightmarish” super-villain modeled after the DC Comics character Vertigo, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Also, some pics of Helena Bertinelli/The Huntress AND a special guest star in episode 8. May be spoilery though:

Sweet! Seth Gabel is awesome in Fringe. Who exactly is Vertigo though?

Goddamn, Jessica/Huntress is gorgeous.

Anyone else dig that Ollie just paints the mask on? I like it a lot more visually than shitty domino masks or just the hood.

Count Vertigo

Wonder if this means they'd go supernatural route.

As for Arrow, I still think he needs a mask. Who can't recognize that face even with the green paint around the eye?

Hahahahha, yeah he'd still need the hood. I just like the paint around his eyes.

But now I'm imagining him just running around with paint on his eyes and everyone asking... "Who is that mysterious vigilante with the eye paint!?"

Speaking of GODville... Did they use the Luthor Mansion for the Queen Mansion? It looks almost exactly alike. Homage tbh

All comic book characters share the same mansion yo. Don't be shocked if when they greenlight a Batman TV show...he has the same mansion.

(But yes, it is the Luther mansion).

I guess I should check this out. Is it a big jump up in quality from Smallville?

I've watched every single episode of Smallville- (might be too early to say) but I think that Arrow is by far the better series so far. Think Smallville without all the frustrating cockteasing

Really tired of the Tommy/Laurel drama. Those two suck the energy out of every scene they're in. More than a little worried that Thea is getting sucked into their orbit as well.

Aside from them, I enjoyed this, as usual. Fun action, good Oliver/Moira scenes and John Diggle is the man.

Loved the hockey masks on the bank robbers, and I just adore the cinematography of Arrow when he's in action. They do a superb job of making him look utterly badass and oozing with cool.

Hopefully they just dump Tommy and Laurel at the end of the season. I don't give a shit about them, the show is called Arrow.

IMO, this is really turning great, I remember watching the pilot and thinking "meh" and it just grew on me and it keeps getting better, I love it and Amell is really making the role his own, he showed even more range in the last episode.

The show visually looks great, fight or action sequences are very very well shot, love those camera moves (for example, scene in last ep where the robbers are ambushed by the cops and Arrow moves in).

They aren't going anywhere if you know Arrow lore. They're fine.

Royal Flush Gang, and a Coast City reference. Awesome use of the greater DC Universe tbh. That Deathstroke scene was stellar.

Good episode. Good to see Diggle make more of a positive impact on Oliver asides from just his pursuit of the one percent/making up for his father's mistakes. I liked him going as Oliver to try and help the bank robber. And I seriously lol'd when the other robber broke out a riot shield and yelled out "I came prepared!" That was actually pretty clever.

I think Tommy and Laurel are a better couple than Oliver and Laurel. I don't have to watch him get all hung up on her. They actually seem interested in each other. I was seriously laughing at Thea's dumbassery in this episode. Oh Speedy. Creepy that she wants Tommy though. Ew.

And invisible ink! I didn't think about that when I first saw the blank notebook and was like "The fuck?"

Nice moment at the end between Oliver and his mom. And that Carter Bowes guy was a total twat.

Just watched the fifth episode. Probably my favorite episode so far. I felt like the acting wasn't as bad as it usually is and I liked getting more info on the islanders. Also, the action was pretty damn awesome, I was surprised.

Really like how they did the Royal Flush gang, hockey masks instead of some silly looking body suit was a good idea. Made it more realistic.

Casting news!

She got naked on True Blood. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

A familiar face from True Blood is coming to Starling City.

Actress Janina Gavankar will play “McKenna Hall” in a multi-episode arc on The CW’s Arrow.

McKenna is a Starling City PD vice cop, but she knew Oliver Queen back in his pre-island bad boy days. When a new drug called Vertigo — dealt by a dealer character played by Fringe actor Seth Gabel — starts wrecking havoc, their paths will cross in more ways than one. Gavankar plays Luna Garza on the HBO vampire hit and was also on Showtime’s The L Word. Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m.

Well, there's Replicant's answer as to whether they're going the supernatural route with Vertigo.

They aren't.

Though this actually makes me think "Vertigo"/Seth Gable will be Arrow's version of Scarecrow or something.
