If they want to expose the adults, sure, but I tend to draw the line on attempting to target and attack 13 and 15 year olds who have plenty of time left to grow, learn, mature, and change.

You're right they need education. However, people should stop treating them with kids gloves. One doesn't expect pure objective outlook from a teenager. They do a lot of stupid things. But how has, in this day and age of internet where information that can change perspectives is at hand, education on the the ills of racism escaped them all these years?

Once again, they need education and this public shaming is perhaps stern, but the racist messages these people deliberately wrote for the world to see has its consequences.

I guess I just can't suspend my disbelief that this is anything other than making fun of them.

If I saw any indication that this "tough love" is doing anything besides painting a target on their back I'd be on board. As it is, I have my doubts that kids are even as receptive to humiliation as adults are, but that's a different thread entirely.

Because fighting against stupid people is usually a waste of time. They usually say stupid things for attention as well, so just ignore the person until they realize no one is paying attention to their stupidity and they'll learn. Takes time though, which is the problem for most impatient Americans.

I once made an argument in favor of ignoring racists, and in turn was called a racist myself by many fine posters here on Neogaf, many posting in this thread. Then I decided to take my own advice to heart, and well, this place is much easier to tolerate.
