My local shop is having a 50% off back issues sale, so I picked up the last couple issues of Ultimate Spider-Man that I don't own. I now have the full, complete run of USM.

I realized that I had never actually read USM Annual #3 and I was happy to have one last story of Ultimate Peter Parker to read.

All in all, great book, but the ending is really sad to me now that (does this even need to be spoilered?) Peter died.

Basically the book was about how MJ and Peter wanted to start having sex, but Peter didn't really want to push it. Blah blah blah. I'll let the scene speak for itself.

just drag the pics into a new tab, they're really big

Depressing. Ultimate Spider-man is still my favorite modern comic book. RIP Pete.

So obviously having loved Astonishing Spidey/Wolvey #1-4 and forgetting that i didn't read issues 5 and 6, i don't like issue #5 and i don't like it Xo

edit: Okay, I probably still like it overall depending on how issue 6 goes, but i could have done without all the
Mojo flaying children's faces off and sewing them into blankets imagery. I was having a good time until that :(

consider me interested

If you liked the Bourne movies you'll love this series.

And even if you didn't, the comic stands on it's on feet. It's really good.

The first trade is 5 bucks at comiXology.

Edit: Damn it's 8 bucks now...they must have upped the price when the first issue of the new arc hit.

I'm on PSN, but only play games neogaf plebes hate or that are "old". :3

Forever alone and love-hating every minute of it. >:D

Do you still play Warhawk man? If you do, how's the community?

pretty excited about remender's captain america. should i read brubaker's run leading up to it? how good is it?

It's good, but the tone is completely different from what Remender is planning. More cloak and dagger stuff. I doubt you need to read the Brubaker run to enjoy the new stuff.

Any ideas on a stand-alone trade that would be good for an 11 year old?

I can't really think of any, Atomic Robo would be a possibility but it's not in print enough to make sure he could get the second volume on his own easily if he liked it. Maybe Calvin and Hobbes but i'm iffy. Can't think of anything else, everything i like is violent. Even Nextwave is a bit too violent/sassy. Tiny Titans seems a bit too young.

What about Gladstone School for Cool Things and Stuff?

The Adventure Time comics are really fun and smart. They just released the first six issues in trade.

comicGAF about to find out how bad i am at video games

jon bones, I finished up Immortal Iron Fist. You're right, the story was wrapped up really nicely. Loved it even if I didn't always love the art.

yeah, aja is a tough act to follow. that's another reason i love IIF so much, btw. only 26ish issues, wrapped up and self-contained.

Helped me become a huge fan of Iron Fist-I was never really into his character before.

same here - and now they're doing for clint what they did for danny.

then let's get fraction and aja to do "the impossible avengers" where alternate timeline versions of hawkguy, iron fist, she-hulk, squirrel girl and spider-man have whacky hijinks trying to "make it" in nyc / save the world.

If you liked the Bourne movies you'll love this series.

sounds like something i'd like, very brubaker/phillipsish (esque?)

A Fraction/Aja Spider-Man or She-Hulk series would be amazing in the same tone as Hawkeye.

I need some Aja drawn Spidey in my life.

Sadly I've Warhawk aside for a while. Last time I played the guys in the server were a bushel of cocks.

The only players left seem only interested in abusing the flaws of the game, or stacking their uber leet clans against teams of randoms.

Finished Tower Chronicles vol.1 today. Pretty fun, despite hoodies.

Yeah, the artist has done a couple of issues on Brubaker/Fraction Iron Fist you might be familiar with his style. His name is Tonci Zonjic.

That's sad...Warhawk is the first MP game I've really fell in love with...

lol I just bought it this morning for ease of reread.

Pretty good story, PRETTY BEST ART.

There's this night club scene, the coloring on this book, MY GAWD.

Hehe! I got it digital, and I'm inclined to buy a physical copy since I loved it! I really liked what they did with the coloring too. Most times people don't realize how important coloring is to the whole comic experience. This series is top notch on all categories IMO!

Man I'm wasting too much money on comics right now... :-\

Herobear and the Kid.

Sam Humphries is currently writing Ultimates. I was unsure of him at first but he's a total cheeseball just like I like my comic writers. Ultimates has been corny in the best way over the last couple months (screw all you Ultimate Marvel haters). That + the most amazing roster ever means I'm way on board for his take on UXF. How the fuck are any of you guys not going to read a book with mohawk Storm in it? Comic-GAF straight trippin.

You guys can add me to the PSN list if you want, but I honestly can't tell you the last time I turned the damn thing on to play anything other than a Blu-Ray movie. In fact the only game I make time to play anymore is Guild Wars 2, and even then it's just a few hours every other night.
