Who are the hottest posters on NeoGAF?

I really like the posters who, you can tell, take the time to make measured and well thought out replies. Gaborn was so good at that.
 
Not sucking mod cock, but Opiate and Stumpokapow. Without diving into a discussion about what constitutes an 'intelligent poster', they both provide some great insight into their thought process whenever they decide to address a topic.

If there's anything that helps people get smarter in general... I'd say simply having ability and willingness to admit when you're wrong is the most important tool in learning. It's what allows you to recognize your mistakes and move on and learn from them. Otherwise you're stuck been wrong while insisting that you're right.

So the most potent learning tool isn't really related to how 'intelligent' you or your brain is.
 
I'll give it to the aeronautic engineers on NeoGAF (I know there are quite a few). If they plan to work on spacecraft.

I'd respect that, and also find it incredibly impressive.
 
I like opiate, and I'd definitely say he's very intelligent. There are plenty of other posters whom I feel are just as intelligent, but that'd take too long to list.
 
Not to kiss butts, but the mods all seem very intelligent, they are a well picked bunch.
There are lot of smart posters here too, with some great insights, but i don't know any names. Either way, great and informative forum. Thanks guys n girls!
 
I'm always fond of icarus daedalus's posts, and stump seems very smart as well. There are many really smart people that post here, really.
 
Salazar is really smart, even it's a little...much at times. I really enjoyed his Goodkind digest a while back.

And Eggman is Dostoevsky's idiot. He's too pure for us to understand.

Smart can be interpreted in so many ways, are you talking about just being well read or actual wisdom and reason in their posts? Or would you have to have both in order to be considered smart? Especially as the other poster mentioned, if it's just who has taught you the most then again is that all they need to be considered smart? I think the question is too vague for an appropriate answer. There are some well read posters who aren't the wisest, some wise posters who don't really know what's going on in the world, some posters that teach you cool things who are neither wise nor well read or on the other hand they're both.
 
Opiate and Stumpokapow are definitely on there, along probably with Mumei and Empty Vessel. I really like specifically how Opiate tries to engage with controversial opinions by explicitly examining their fundamental assumptions, its a style I try to mimic with only some effectiveness. Damn, there are like three more who are on the tips of my fingers that I can't remember

EDIT: Hitokage, there it is. Reading this thread there are a lot I agree with like Phisheep as well
