Assassin's Creed should be listed as a synonym of mediocrity in the dictionary.
Having to physically look down towards the controller in your lap to see something as important as a minimap would be a huge annoyance. HUD's are not going away anytime soon, not even on WiiU.
That's unfortunate. One of the things I looked forward to with Wii U was less HUD elements.

Yeah, me too. And lesser important stuff can definitely be offloaded to the subscreen, but for a lot of things that should be viewable at a glance it's not really an option. Also, you can probably expect a lot of inventory management on the WiiU display, so that would improve at least.
Sorry I meant Wii U AC3 version looks better than PS360 counterpart.

Ryan's... never been great at pointing out graphics differences. Like, far be it from Ubisoft to fuck up a port, but I seem to recall other games where Ryan tried to compare it to a previous version and just imagined a bunch of differences.
I do not know, but they did complain of some frame drops that they did not notice in the 360 version already in the opera house.
