omg mutant blobs really is fantastic. now i know why its so praised on gaf. just spent 3 hours playing and didnt even realize i had been playing that long. typing this on my vita because im not done playing. :p

When I checked the Vita Store via PS3 PSN yesterday, there was quite a lot of games, mostly UBI-games that said that I hade purchased them, even though I only downloaded the demo.
When I checked on the store on the Vita I could only see the demo download marked as purchased.
Smart As was described as a review code.

Somebody else seen this?

I've downloaded the games on my PS3 but haven't tried transferring them yet.

Edit:
The games are:
SunFlowers
Smart as Review Code (ANZ, EAS,EXP,SCA)
Rayman Origins
Puddle
Little Deviants
Lumines
Dungeon Hunter Alliance
Asphalt injection
A-Men
Top Darts

Yep, had that happen with Zen Pinball demo, I could nowhere find the option to buy it in the store.

Also, about PSO2 getting a release date in February - SO EXCITED! Hoping we get a western localization confirmation at GDC or E3. That would be megaton, they could come out and be like PSO2 ON VITA, CROSS PLAY WITH PC, FREE TO PLAY, THIS FALL!

me too man. PSO2 feels so far away. :(

damn my vita feels like a new machine after the FW 2.00 update.. only spent 15 minutes playing some PSABR matches with Mauas yesterday, and then messed around with the system again. Ended up in a "party".. but as usual I´m a partypooper. !

I got a PSN card as a gift, and am trying to decide whether to buy PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (PS3 version so I get the game on both PS3 and Vita), Persona 4 Golden, or Ragnarok Odyssey. Any suggestions?

PSABR is a must if you're planning on playing lots of multiplayer.
If not, Persona 4 Golden.

What are your preferred genres/favorite games? You can always try out the Ragnarok Odyssey demo as well.

VCS has a lot more "subsystems" (buying & selling, buying properties, etc) from what I can remember. You enjoy those? then VCS, LCS is a more clean and streamlined version of GTA (like GTAIII).

Vice City it isss. Thanks!
Just got The Warriors too. These R* games are huge.

That does it, I'm gonna try to get a bigger memory card tomorrow. It sucks not having any room for movies and music, let alone the games.

EDIT: Found a The Warriors free roam gameplay video running on the Vita. http://youtu.be/6GFoQSVuZ5A
I'm ready to nostalgia.

Yeah, 32GB is not enough. I wish the Vita had internal memory and a memory stick as optional. P4G is 3.1GB! :O

IF Sony decides to put internal memory for a future Vita update (if it survives that long), I'll get one ONLY IF I could use my current memory stick. Knowing Sony's past, I won't be surprised if they make another proprietary memory stick for the new Vita. Hope they don't.

Thanks for the impressions.

I just looked it up. Looks like the PS3 version just has an exclusive extra difficulty with the same exclusive character like the Vita.

I'm getting the Vita one. Love to have it on the go.

I just wish the status of your bubbles was saved to the memory card so you could easily swap cards. That'd have us spending more money on cards and games Sony,do you hear?

Id then probably have one card for vita games, and another for PSP/PSone/minis etc

I can't be as excited as some of you guys for tomorrow, I already own 3 out of the 4 games they'll be offering on Plus :(

I owned Uncharted, Gravity Rush and MBA. But Uncharted I just Platinumed and traded in for £14, Gravity Rush I traded in as soon as I saw it was in PS+ so got another £16. So yeah, I already owned two of them, but even if I hadn't completed Uncharted I'm still up £30 and I still have other games because I have Plus.

I'll never be annoyed when a game I physically own appears on Plus as I'll get some money back.

Really excited to get in Persona 4.I would like to see more of these types of releases.

Does Sony plan on making PS2 games playable on Vita?

It can't happen unless the games are recoded/ported like the MGS HD collection were. PS2 emulation on the PS3 is difficult, on the Vita it is impossible as despite being powerful it's still obviously less so than the PS3. You are more likely to be able to use the Gaikai game streaming service to play PS2 games on your Vita if/when Sony eventually push that service out to the public. They could be saving that for the PS4 launch though.

I'll get one ONLY IF I could use my current memory stick. Knowing Sony's past, I won't be surprised if they make another proprietary memory stick for the new Vita. Hope they don't.

What "past"?

Neither the PS1, PS2 or PS3 have changed memory card/HDD slot configurations with new models, and the PSP retained the same Pro Duo slot for the 1000, 2000, 3000 and the E1000. The only revision they have ever released that used a different format memory card was the PSP Go which used the M2. Considering the size of the PSP Go it was the only logical option.

Whatever Sony might do with the Vita 2000 (SLCD screen, bigger battery, lighter weight, etc) they will retain the same memory card slot. Of that I am 100% confident.

The only potential change in that area is IF the shitty transfer rates on the Vita are down to slow memory cards, something only Sony knows. If so then the Vita 2000 might be able to support faster cards, but they'll be the same format.

I did manage to make my train journey home last night without losing the battery, though I had to stop gaming at London Bridge as the entire population of London got on my train so I was limited to just music.

When I got home and connected to the web again I had 11 new friend requests (I felt so loved!) and all of you put "xyz from gaf" or "from gaf" in your message. Except one. That one just put "NEOGAF" lol.

And I checked, 38 people out of probably 90 ish on my list have PS+.

Just realised it's Wednesday so JSR is hitting EU PSN tonight.

I'm so excited that I could vomit. Can't fucking wait to replay it, especially on the Vita.

Are we homies? (My PSN is SmokiestDave)

Oh my gawd.

BOUGHT. (I read here a while back that it was great, especially now with the right analogue)

Are all the R* games on sale right now or something? Someone mentioned Vice City Stories earlier
EDIT: Nice looks like it.

So uh...impressions about the game please? I recall reading it's good, but would like to hear more abot it.

Sorry, I've no room on my memory card to even download it. I'm going to try to get a bigger memory card tomorrow then I can post some impressions.

But if you've never played the PS2 version and enjoy beat-em-ups, then its a must. If you are a fan of the movie, its a plus.

Otherwise, check out the reviews for it. They speak for themselves, especially at that price.

For the love of God, don't buy those games, the controls are horrific. I made the mistake so you don't have to.

I don't think they're horrific. The driving feels great as is does in the PS2 GTA games. I never beat either though, so they are pretty damn hard games. Both have the showstopper bullshit missions at some point that'll probably make you give up. But you can still have lots of fun with both games.

I'd recommend Vice City Stories over LCS though.

maybe it control better on vita? I'm in the middle of gta 5 hype and kinda want a gta game on the go, I've been playing San Andreas PC from time to time, with mouse and keyboard even.

I played them on a vita. The primary issue is that they were designed around a console with one analog stick, and the controls just don't work. I'd recommend Chinatown wars, I can relate to the GTA itch, but I found out the hard way that those games just aren't any good on PSP. The framerate is bad too.

Even with the button mapping? EDIT: Ahh i see

Been watching videos and reviews and it doesn't look like it gets in the way. I'm pretty versatile when it comes to controls too, so i could get used to it.

Just to offer a counterargument, I played Chinatown Wars on the DS and thought it controlled and played like shit. :P

I like to play it with the right stick mapped to mirror the left, so to control the camera all I have to do is hold L and use the right stick. Works pretty well, but in all honesty you don't use the camera controls that much outside of a quick tap of L to recenter the camera behind you.

The framerate is also crappy. I didn't have any success with button mapping myself, staffing while sitting is a pain.

Doesn't sound too bad. I think i'll check this game out for the 'new' vice city content and since i've got the GTA hype itch.

Watching all the reviews for LCS and VCS makes me wonder what R* is (hopefully still) working on for Vita, since the two games mostly got picked on for the single analog controls. San Andreas Stories down the line would be glorious and good timing with GTAV coming.

I was sold when I read Beat'em-up. Also I saw a vid where you can drop kick NPCs. Buying it later tonight~

Who be the main character in this game? Big Smoke? We could see the other side of the original story that way.

And Zen Pinball 2.

And Pinky Leg Massage

The first few years, the PSP got good support from Rock Star: 2 GTAs, 2 Midnight Clubs, The Warriors, and Manhunt 2. Then they dropped support pretty hard, so I don't expect much (if anything) for the Vita.

So anything other than Gravity Rush, Uncharted and Chronovolt? Found them all via search but wondering if there were any others planned for today.

Can't wait for cloud gaming on Vita.

Memory stick woes no more. I could be playing this JSR demo right now instead of trying to figure out how to make space for it :P
