Just watched it and I agree. Only performance I outright disliked was Terry. He was my favorite early on, but man...
Yup... I stopped watching singing shows sometime early on in AI's lifetime, but the talent on The Voice has really impressed me.

Nicholas is a tier above everyone else. About the worst thing you could say about him is that his song selections haven't been all that varied.

Nicholas is clearly the best singer- really inspired song choice this week too. Amada is good- but she's the kind of singer that we've heard countless times
Based on popularity - it seems like cassadee is going to win eventually tho. Not a huge fan of country music but her performance last night put a lump in my throat

Didn't they say something about iTunes downloads rolling over week-to-week this year? If so, that's a huge potential advantage for Cassadee.
Curious to see who gets the boot this week; my guess would be Terry (who I like, but that song got hacked to bits for the NBC edit...just unfortunate) and Sylvia.

I'm going to be pissed if Cassadee wins. Generic, and frankly not that exciting. She was great this week, but every other week she hasn't stood out.
Having a built-in fan base doesn't hurt, I guess.

One of the reasons I like the show is because they seed the contestants pool with quality singers. Last season (I think it was), two of the contestants had previous studio albums, and had been named VH1 artists you ought to know (for the 2-3 hours a day when they're not airing substandard reality fare). It didn't mean that Angel Taylor or Charlotte Sometimes won due to having a pre-established fanbase; if they had that, they'd still have their previous record deals.
Honestly, the best thing that could happen for the show is to have its winner actually have a hit single. (I've heard Dis Frampton songs on the radio more often than either of the snow's winners...and I can count the sum total of all of them on one hand with fingers to spare.)
Cassadee is probably the most marketable of the top 10. I'd have no problem with her winning, and I'd never heard of her radio Disney band (or whatever format they were played on) prior to this show.

Cassadee is gorgeous and can sing well. She hasn't blown me away until last night. That was an amazing performance. Good for her for taking that to #1. Melanie is someone I've disliked the entire season, but I'm warming up to her now. She was great last night. No one tops Nick imo. Such a great singer. Cody needs to go home. He's just a gimmick.

think her entry into the competition isnt entirely unfair. someone recommended me some hey monday clips on youtube sometime last year, and i remember with the exception of one or two covers, alot of their original stuff were getting quite dismal viewership numbers.

I legit just couldn't believe it when Juliet didn't win. I was POSITIVE she was going to win. She should have won. I was also positive Jermaine was gonna come in 4th sooooooo....shows what I know, huh?

Nick hit the top 10 as well. I think Cassadee topped out at #2, and Melanie at #3. Meanwhile Dogs Farting charted higher than anyone on X Factor.

Juiliet should have won last year. She got sick that last week and didn't give her best performance. Jermaine Paul was probably one of my least favorite that entire season as he had no direction in the music he was singing nor was he a very impressive singer nor that inventive with his songs.
What is Christina talking about saying Chris Mann has been the most commercially successful of anyone on The Voice? That seemed like more of an insult to the show than anything. I'm not surprised Dez got sent packing, did he sing a Justin Bieber song last night? I think he's a pretty good singer, but he doesn't have any musical genre or identity really.
I actually think X-Factor talent has been better this season (although Demi Lovato has done her best to torpedo her team treating them like Barbie dolls). I like both shows; the Voice for the indie-style stuff and X-Factor for the more commercial/pop stuff.
Carly Rose Sonenclar and Emblem 3 on X-Factor are consistently great and could have big mainstream success. Diamond White is pure Disney and could also come back years later if Star Search has taught us anything. I don't listen to enough country music to offer a valid opinion on whether Tate Stevens is anything special or not.

That's the best laugh I had all day. X Factor is a huge pile of crap, from the lousy judges, to the awful singing, to the horrendous manufactured fake drama, to the incompetent sound engineers.
Seriously - I'm not sure I've ever seen a better live vocal - singing competition or not
It was great indeed. He is not marketable though. He has like 0 personality. Who would buy his album? I may be wrong but I don't even think he will reach the top 10 on itunes, and is in a huge risk to leave tomorrow with Terry.

Christina can't leave this show soon enough. Even when commenting she tries to outshine the others. The fact that she has no one else in her team shows how competent she is. Can't tell if she is more of a failure trying to be a coach or trying to sell her flop albums. Poor girl after the presentation Xtincta only comment is about how SHE would sing it and how the stage looks. Fuck off.

I mean, she's now officially had two terribly selling albums. She says that "real music lovers" will appreciate her music yet why does she insist on releasing outdated sounding music?
Maybe she should flee to the indie scene and build back her cred there. :3
Ohhhhh myyyyy gooood Trevin bores me to tears. I find his singing to be so bland and unenjoyable, but I would not be shocked if he takes the competition. I'm obviously a weirdo in this situation, because people seem to love him, and the coaches can't stop gushing about him. But seriously, I find him and his singing unbearable.
And yeah, Christina, stop being so catty! I thought she's get better now that all of her team are gone, but nope. It's a mixture of humor and frustration over how she has to force herself to say anything nice about people who aren't on her team.
You obviously don't enjoy brilliant voices.

Trevin bores me, too. He seems like an ultra sweet guy, but his performances are all unmemorable.

I had been pulling for Nick, but he's in a serious rut now.
Amanda is my current favorite.
This season is pretty amazing, so many good people left with 6 still in the running. Terry's the only one I think is out of his league now.

I definately agree with you there. She is the worst of all the judges IMO, I find something enjoyable listening to everyone elses commentary, but Christina... ugh...
I am surprised Terry has held on this long. I like Amanda, Nick, and Trevon.
You are not the only one. He bores me to death. He is like the generic diva of the show. He is not relatable at all. We can't pretend these people won't have to sell albums after the show to survive. And I just don't see him being a record seller.
Oh well. If the itunes by now is anything to go by Adam may lose his two acts today, but Melanie has her two songs up there (15 and 17) (even if above one of the others) but if one of her songs make it to the top 10 Trevin will probably go home instead of her.
