I'm of the opinion that swear words don't have any power other than the power we give them.

If we use them enough, they lose some of that power.

That's why I say way too much curse words on a daily basis.

Oh well.

I much prefer the more conversational style in podcasts, and since most people tend to swear during casual conversation it makes sense to me. I can totally understand why you'd want swearing kept to a minimum or to have none at all. I was actually part of a podcast/site that didn't want us swearing on the show, which we did for the most part. If something slipped through, and it eventually does, it was beeped out.

I find that to not be the case. Especially with this past year in mind. I've been weaning myself off the bombcast at this point.
Hey I can't stop you if you really do not want to.

But since the BLLS it has been hit after hit for GB with great and consistent content.
Is this what Brad was talking about when he mentioned the last time they discussed Haze in that room?

But the only reason you use them is because they have power.

I doubt Jeff is ever playing Funky Barn ever again, and I think I'm ok with that.

Good god was that a waste of a 4 hour live stream. I'm glad I didn't watch it live and happy that I fast forwarded through it once I realized it was going to be ALL Funky Barn. Wish he had busted out some old emulation stuff.

It was worth it alone for the birth, life and untimely death of Spanner. Never forget, RIP.

BR is a great game and has few shitty elements to mock.

So glad they're giving one of the best adventure games attention though. Underrated classic.
Absolutely. I remember playing Blade Runner as a teen thinking "The hell? A game like this can exist?". That, followed a year later by Grim Fandango (the best game ever made), cemented my love of adventure games.

You're insane. The live stream was great.

You're not funky enough for this barn, infinityBCRT

Shame on you, son. That was one of the best livestreams Jeff has ever done.

Honestly, I find blade runner the most boring Random PC game they've played.

Really liked the first part, but yeah Part 2 was a bit boring. I think it was mostly because so much time has passed and they couldn't remember anything about the characters or the story. Still hope they finish it though. It´s ages ago that I played it, but I remember liking the ending.

Haven´t watched the Funky Barn stream yet, did Jeff say anything about a Far Cry 3 review?

Was Jeff right about Syndicate? I've never seen such a positive opinion on it, here on gaf or anywhere else.

Apart from its art style and strong core shooting, I felt the game was pretty substandard. It really didn't do much for me, but neither do most corridor shooters. For what it's worth, it was significantly better than, say, Singularity, which I think is a pretty similar game mechanically.

I didn't get a chance to touch the MP as the game wasn't released in Australia, so noone else was playing it online. So perhaps the cooperative multiplayer is what sets it apart. Looking at Jeff's stream, game looks similar to Payday but with better shooting?

Another reason why the website needs tagging:

does anyone remember the podcast where they talked about Catherine? I remember Jeff discussing it, and then a few weeks later Vinny and Patrick talking about it. I can't seem to find it.

Also, what was the TNT where people sent in random game requests for stuff like Too Human and Shadowrun?

Just bought my first subscription to GB. The amount of content/laughs I've experienced over the past 2 years has made it a no-brainer for me.

Here's to the next year of silliness!

Rewatched all the Best Of Persona Endurance Run yesterday (all that's available). Man that's a great series. Perfect storm for Vinny and Jeff and P4.

Re-subbing to premium tonight. Its nice subscribing around this time to get in on the deal but at the same time, my wallet is hurting from all the other deal hunting I've been doing.
The majority of my video content on videogames comes from these guys so I might as well keep supporting them. They save me a lot of time and money with the amount of games they cover.

Looking forward to see what 2013 brings to Giant Bomb.
