"How did you get your team to play like they had nothing to lose...(DRAMATIC PAUSE) when they had everything to lose?"

Uh.

So SEC champ no matter what is playing ND? No other possibilities?

'Bama or Georgia would crush ND though.

Pretty much. The BCS probably looks like this, unless I'm overlooking something:

BCSCG: Notre Dame v. Bama/UGA
Sugar Bowl: KSU/Oklahoma v. Florida
Fiesta Bowl: Oregon v. KSU/Oklahoma
Orange Bowl: FSU/GT v. Louisville/Rutgers
Rose Bowl: Stanford/UCLA v. Nebraska/Wisconsin

it's gotta be a shitty day to be an Oregon fan.

Hold out hope to get back into the PAC CCG, that disappears.
Hold out hope to get a shot @ the National Title, but nope, that Kiffened.

Overrated is one thing. Being called frauds is the same. But to say that everyone thought ND was going to get destroyed week in, week out, is a complete fabrication.

They're basically the 2002 Luckeyes. Good team, but they've had a few coinflips go their way. They haven't won convincingly against basically anybody (edit: excuse me, forgot Oklahoma). That's always going to lead to complaints of being overrated/frauds.

Every single week ND proving college football GAF wrong. Go Irish.

Seeing Notre Dame turn this forum into a rage face comic every weekend, has been far more rewarding than the national championship ever would have been. But hey If they can win it all, even better. But they are already winners to me.

GO IRISH!

Syracuse can still win the BEAST.

Can we pair up Brent and Gary to call the MNC? I want to see who can out-do the other at verbally fellating their team of choice. Like a dueling banjos of blatant homerism.

Overrated is one thing. Being called frauds is the same. But to say that everyone thought ND was going to get destroyed week in, week out, is a complete fabrication of the historical record. Everyone hoping that Notre Dame is going to get destroyed is not the same as everyone thinking it will actually happen.

I thought they would lose to Oklahoma. All the other games I just wanted them to.

Also, they are a fraud 1, like Florida is a fraud 4, Like Michigan was a fraud whatever the fuck they were ranked last year.

I love that all the salt is coming from gator fans not Fsu fans.

That doesn't even make any sense. You mean the only FSU fans still on this board that were cheering on ND out of spite? As opposed to the Gators fans who actually had a stake in the game? Positively shocking.

Thank god, I'd of shit if USC won. Gotta keep Florida out of the nat'l championship! Only SEC time I won't root for, am hopeful UGA will upset Bama!

So Notre Dame is going to steal the Natty? Fuck.

Props to the Trojans (especially the Defense) for putting on a much better performance than I would have expected, especially after such a clusterfuck of a season. And for a red shirt freshman in his first start, Wittik showed a lot of good signs. If he and Lee can get on the same page for next season, with his arm, they should put up some crazy numbers. Also props to Barkley. I know he gets a lot of shit around here but really sucks that he couldn't go out on the field in his last home game.

Overall, not impressed with Notre Dame's offense. They make SEC schools look dynamic. If they win the MNC, it will be because they make the game ugly.

So probably...

MNC: Bama/Georgia vs. ND
Rose: Stanford/UCLA vs. Nebraska?
Fiesta: Oregon vs. KSU/Oklahoma
Sugar: Florida vs. Florida State?
Orange: Louisville vs. Oklahoma?

:(

Oh, I'm sorry, didn't Florida State lose today?

FSU is back!

so much anger. your team doesn't deserve to go to the MNCG after the Georgia game

So probably...

MNC: Bama/Georgia vs. ND
Rose: Stanford/UCLA vs. Nebraska?
Fiesta: Oregon vs. KSU/Oklahoma
Sugar: Florida vs. Florida State?
Orange: Louisville vs. Oklahoma?

:(
FSU will be in the Orange if we beat GT next weekend

Sweet. Now I can go drink acid and never, ever, ever say a nice thing about Notre Damn ever again.

Seriously. Gotta wash my mouth out with soap. Thank goodness my grandma isn't around to see me rooting for the Irish.

Just wanted to congratulate the SEC on their 7th consecutive Natty.

Seconded. Impressive run for the SEC. And two in a row for Bama! Plus... three in four years? When was their win over Tejas?

Thats actually a great comparison, except Krenzel being a totally different kind of qb, the teams are really similar

So probably...

MNC: Bama/Georgia vs. ND
Rose: Stanford/UCLA vs. Nebraska?
Fiesta: Oregon vs. KSU/Oklahoma
Sugar: Florida vs. Florida State?
Orange: Louisville vs. Oklahoma?

:(

The Orange Bowl has to take the ACC champion (FSU/GT), and if FSU loses that they probably won't be in the top 14.

Syracuse can still win the BEAST.

Yeah, but I don't think they're up for the BCS berth, weird the BEAST's tiebreaker rules are. Kent State has a slim chance of sneaking in too in lieu of the Big 12 runner-up, I guess.
