How does MGS HD Collection play on the vita? In terms of framerate and graphics.

I already have an unopened copy for the PS3, but I feel like playing on a handheld if the experience is comparable.

Did anyone play MGS HD Collection on the vita, and how was it?

Played it and loved it. Framerate is decent, MGS2 indoors has higher fps as outdoors but everything is perfectly playable. You wont be disappointed playing it on Vita if you know what you are getting into. Loved the Snake in my hands ;p

One downside though, MGS collection on Vita does NOT have peace walker HD, so if you want to play that, you'd need to play PS3 anyway.

Hey guys, quick question. Is Ragnarok Odyssey fun solo or do you have to play with a group of people to get the most fun out of it?
There's definitely some fun to be had when playing solo, but the main appeal is for sure laying with a group. Plus many things in the game can be overwhelming going through it by yourself, like killing 50 Giants in the same quest.

Since this was bottom of the last page:

Am I the only one who did not know that Knytt Underground is supposed to come to the Vita rather soon? 2 months ago the release date was "later this year".

Now imagine that on your Vita :-o

Can't wait. And Guacamelee. 2 good looking niche titles.

Lyphen I took a page from your book in snooping. Found that the closest three people post on facebook ... they're between 11-15 .... I feel dirty now :<
Don't feel dirty - keep at it! Eventually you'll find a diamond in the rough that you can chuckle at (or laugh at - webcam guy had some pretty hilarious comments on some sites). I think near's a really neat tool, but I have a relatively unguarded world view, and I find all these discoveries novel (even the pervert one).

Another day and still not footage of the Vita version of Sonic transformed :<

Yeah I've been slowly combing through stuff. The one guy also comments on a local news site it seems ... a lil 14 yr old racist lol.

I really wish Disgaea had a demo, I'm interested but not sure if it's my kind of game.

Meanwhile, I'm really anxious for Class of Heroes 2 to come out, its supposed to be a tremendous improvement to the first one.

It's awesome. I haven't experienced any performance issues at all. It looks amazing as well. I beat MGS2, and I'm playing through MGS3 right now. MGS3 is as excellent as I remember.

did you send your save file to them? Think you get a free copy of COH2 if they use your save for the whole 'unlock' thing

in general this method requires a little luck, but I find it to actually be an enjoyable puzzle game and a different way to play disgaea in general. at the very worst case you will level up your most powerful weapon which will help as well. I am sure there are other ways to get more powerful (disgaea 2 had the nekomata abuse that you could do to net a level 9999 character when you were level 15 or so lol) but it's my general powering up strat in disgaea games. I find it usually takes about 2 hours to go from the story battles are hard to being a god that walks through all of the story battles, at which time I tend to try do the story mode with other characters and if i am having trouble bring out my god character. I hope this helps, i am sure there is a better guide for this online that coverers alterations for the method for disgaea 3. 3 is the one I played the least because I couldn't wait for it and ended up playing disgaea 2 for 250 hours the month before 3 came out and burned myself out on disgaea for a bit lol... I am looking forward to playing it again on the vita though.

Thanks for the advice, I'll have to try and get back into it.

I try to play without guides and I get burnt out because I hit walls and feel like I'm wasting my time. Then when I attempt to read online guides at all I get totally overwhelmed and don't feel like playing the game. XD

It's a vicious cycle!

The first Disgaea PSP game is going to be on sale soon, you could buy that and it would give you a really good view as to whether you would like the Vita version of 3. The games play very similar, and I still think that the original Disgaea is my favourite.

Is it possible to stack 1 month PS+ codes on top of a 3 month or 12 month subscription that doesn't have a CC on file? I'm wondering this before I sell the 3 x 1 month codes I have (also a 4th with Journey CE).

Oh yeah, btw congrats Shahed on that top 100 score on Going Down. Not sure I can beat that.

The pack just added new mini games. However there was a patch adding trophy support, near collectibles among a few other things. I dont think thats live yet,or is it? Didnt see any trophies at least.

Fourth paragraph.

Wonder how long it will take them to patch the NA version? Another 6 months? :lol

Where is the Muramasa rumour coming from?

Rumour my ass.

It's not a rumour, it was confirmed at TGS earlier this year.

Exactly. It's even got bonus content.

Depends on what code you got, US had ones that stacked but EU ones didnot.

Hello Vitabros!

I'd just like to say that I bought a Vita two weeks ago in a moment of weakness and I was sure that I was going to regret it, but so far it's been pretty awesome (it helps that two of the games I wanted to buy are free on PS+).

So add me to the chorus of 'it should be doing better'

Grats on a awesome purchase ;p

Seems like a go ahead for MGS HD Collection. Just one more question; How are the load times if I buy a physical Vita cart?

Cant remember being annoyed by them and I replayed MGS2 3 times on Vita, so it cant be too bad.

Did you have to beat the first one? I barely scratched the surface even though I played for 20 hours...

Mgs2 30fps outdoors. 60fps indoors.
Mgs 3 solid 30fps.

Plays really great ran both games back to back. Some of the sniping parts with otacons sister were tricky with the vita analogs. Honestly was really impressed.

oddly enough disgaea 1 is my least favorite. I like the cast, but I played 2 first and stuff like mystery gates that break up item world so it isn't quite as much of a grind are just something I seem to need lol.

oh I know the feeling. I have 500 hours in disgaea 2 and I can still get lost in a guide about stuff... it doesn't help that there is so much and they can skim over stuff like what residents do lol.

disgaea can be very hit or miss, if you enjoy games like final fantasy tactics and like the idea of being able to get up to stupid high levels of power then it will likely be a hit. If you absolutely hate grinding or couldn't stand FFT then you likely won't like it. The games in general don't take themselves very seriously, but have very deep systems involved for gaining power I mean the things that I can remember that can effect how strong you are are; The items you have equipped, your level, the level of your items equipped, the rarity of your items in relationship to your other items, the residents on your items, geosquares, and depending on the disgaea game, how many times you have attacked in general or with a specific skill. It's not for causual SRPG players, but if you can get into the idea of working your way to being a god then it's great, as you basically have to become god to take on the end bosses (the games have a ton of after game content)

So it seems like you guys are enjoying PSASBR? I bought it from a GAFer earlier. Downloaded it but haven't played it yet. I really enjoyed the beta, so I'm excited to play.

While I'm not one to generally search for validation of my opinions, it is nice to see so many people getting Vitas and realizing it's an amazing piece of hardware that really should be doing better on the market. Many of us early Vita adopters have been singing it's praises since we got our hands on ours, and it really is cool to see more people finally getting some time with the console, and seeing what it's really about.

I have no doubt that it will find its place, but it's disconcerting to constantly see it dismissed in terms of content. It already has an impressive library, with more titles to come. So many people are unaware of the software in the pipeline for this thing. The pricing appears to be one of the biggest factors keeping people away, though, and I imagine that Sony is looking at the sales of these kinds of holiday deals very closely. I also have no doubt that we'll be seeing a $199 Vita by the close of 2013.

Marketing can only do so much when you have a $250-$300 price tag on your system. Once that price officially comes down, I expect it to do much better, coupled with all of the new software releasing in 2013.

Speaking of software, I just want an inFAMOUS game on the Vita. I'd even take a port of inFAMOUS 1 and 2, if not an original game, with a new character and set of powers, kind of like Assassin's Creed: Liberation. It's not tied to Cole's story, but it is in the inFAMOUS universe.

I freaking love PBR. I've mostly been playing offline, and I just finished the arcade mode with all 20 characters, but the real fun of the game is playing with people, which I've done quite a bit. The game is a blast, and much more polished than the beta.

Agreed. On ALL points.

The games great! The Vita version is amazing.

Awesome!

Plenty of touch screen less games, though. What keeps you from playing these? (except your wife)

dropped my vita from waist high screen down onto bathroom tile this morning

not even a scratch

awww yeah =) the sound was terrifying though haha

I am onto you Shahed. 0,005 difference in the first level.
-.-''
Not today anymore though.
Edit: Wow, rank 260 for you overall in monumental valley. Nice!

oh just my wife I have only been a vita owner for 6 hours lol. and my buttons comment was more towards the set up of the system I didn't want to get finger prints all over my persona protector and in general I tend to not lift my finger up high enough while inputting stuff so I get extra letters with the touch screen :/

All new Vitabros keep an eye on Soul Sacrifice March 2013

I have no problems following this advice... mostly because I don't see anything else for Q1 next year that remotely interests me on the vita lol
