Can anyone name me the absolute essential vita must plays?
Buy Metal Gear Solid HD collection VITA (retail) + MGS1 on PSN Store, if you haven't played them elsewhere. Playing MGS on the go is great experience imo.

Also Wipeout 2048 is well worth it. With HD DLCs (free if you already have Wipeout HD+expansion on PS3) you will get 3 full wipeout compaigns in one game.

It just does nothing for me for some reason. Is there a demo at all or just the beta thing they had? I think the lack of lifebar like smash bros. is a huge turnover.

It definitely has issues, especially in comparison to Smash Brothers. I severely miss ringouts for example, which meant that positioning usually always was of importance.

Its still a fun brawler though with a bit of depth (Parrys, sidesteps ..). And it looks really, really nice. I have some issues recommending it at 40$, but I got it for 20$ and I'd say its worth that. Its not a stellar, universally recommendable game, but BAD? No.

Good god, I'll pay a lot of money for a Loco Roco Remix for PS Vita. Just stages from previous games into a new package and in vita native's resolution.

How's battery life when playing video? What about music?

edit: and it'd be great if some of y'all would add me, jimmystav. None of my three friends (all of whom I know in real life) have been on PSN for at least a month!

Last Friday I received two delayed packages - VLR and P4G. I seriously need to catch up on sleep now, but it's pretty damn hard. I'm probably going to be a hermit for a while because both these games just cause hours to disappear when I only mean to pick them up for a little bit.

Also, has anyone picked up Colors! for vita and have anything in particular to say about how well the full version functions? I have been messing around with the demo and like it - it's definitely way better than paint park.

I would say it's sort of like OpenCanvas lite with the ability to record the drawing process. When I have extra in my wallet I'll pick up the full version because layers. However, using stylus on the capacitive screen isn't as good for drawing as resistive is. It seems like the brush line-weight varies according to how much of your finger is making contact with the screen, so using a stylus makes you lose that ability. Using your finger is not ideal either, as it obscures what you're working on and weight variation is inconsistent anyway.

Surely they can save profiles to the memory card, really hope it comes soon. I wonder what DCharlie does with his 4 full 32GB cards. Probably has 4 vitas for them :P

two vitas - one for US region, the other for JPN.

with two cards roughly split 100% Vita, 50% vita/retro/PSP - per US/JPN

I really need sony to implement some sort of schema that dictates the bubble lay out - it's a pain in the arse that they aren't consistent with the layout you dictate.

Also - we need to raise the ten page limit. ASAP!

We need to twitterbomb Shu for a new LocoRoco on Vita :(

I'm quite surprised that a few psp titles dont have vita sequels already

Locorocco
Patapon

seem like no brainers 8(

I forget the name of the game where you take your crew and cut up attack ships made of cardboard ? that was a good game 8)

Good to see Jaffe knows what's hot

Always saw @yosp tweeting about TALES FROM SPACE: MUTANT BLOBS ATTACK! on the VITA and I always meant to pick it up but stuff always got in the way. Finally grabbed a copy via Sony's PS+ Vita promo and man I gotta say: so glad I started playing this!

Granted,I had to wait till it was free before I decided it was worth my time. Which really sucks cause now that I'm playing it, there is zero doubt that this game is so worth the normal 8-9 dollar asking price (perhaps more, but not sure yet).

I wonder why there was never a demo for this. Hell, they should do a few levels in UNITY or even FLASH and stick them on the Playstation blog in a browser window with a link to buy (or a link to download the demo on PS3/Vita). The theme and the genre make this feel like a super niche retro title, and while it IS a 2.5 D side scroller, the mechanics and creative use of those mechanics plus the level design make it as fun as any other hit game on the market.

AKA: Try the damn thing! :)

And yeah we need folders goddammit. Yosp said he wants more space too so hopefully he uses his powers to push that into the firmware soon

So what's the consensus on Mutant blobs? I see in this own thread some people say its crazy overrated and some say its great. I know from metacritic the game got great ratings.

So my Persona 4 Golden is probably going to be delivered tomorrow. Yay, only a week later... I really hate newegg shipping :\ I'm hoping to get the platinum in NLKS before it arrives, I have to go pick it up at my parents' place (I don't trust shipping it to our apartment in the city). Hopefully NFS: MW comes soon after, although the order is still in EA's black hole of a store, they did guarantee it would ship today though...

I'm knocking out the encyclopedias now and then after that I just need to beat the game with all the princesses ;) So excited for my first Vita platinum, and hitting level 15.. that'll bring me up to 13 platinums. Wait... I got the double plat in Sound Shapes. LOL I forgot I got that Vita plat... so this'll be my second Vita platinum ;)

whoa, either im dumb and can't search good but where are the crash games on the vita store?

or do i have to transfer from my PS3 to play them? i want my crash trilogy on dat OLED , can finally finish them

Like platforming games? It is a very fun games with very neat level design. You also got quite a few tools (magnetism, moving platforms..) at your disposal making the traversal feel quite a bit different in every level.

If that sounds even remotely fun to you, buy it :)

Or wait, buy PS+ and then get it for free! Together with Uncharted and Gravity Rush (and if you are in the US, you get Jet Set Future and Wipeout on top for free as well).

Yeah, you need to transfer them.

Damn, can you only put content onto the Vita from the system itself? Having to add music from my massive song list is a huge pain in the ass.

EDIT: err, maybe you can add by artist.

EDIT 2: Bah, this shit is incredibly clumsy. And very little of my video content is showing up on my Vita--does that mean the file formats are unsupported?

Did you already update the Firmware?

Yeah, you need to transfer them.

I got the vita off the black friday sale on Amazon so I get 3 months of PS+ for free.
