Let's talk fast food.

BK's been weirdly cheaper than competitors, separating themselves in value. I had it for the first time in 6 months, usually love BK. Ordered a double cheesburger meal, which is too cheap. Grabbed a second double cheese for $1.29... and maybe it's just me, but the burger tasted way different than I remember 6 months ago. Way too easy to chew through the meat, didn't feel substantial. Definitely seems like they changed the meat. Hugely disappointing, as I usually don't get the whoppers (too many condiments) which I assume is the better meat. What's the deal?

Mcdonald's and Wendy's are my thing. With In 'N Out as the smaller portion option.

I had a spicy deluxe today. The lettuce, tomato, and cheese make the sandwich better. For the original chicken sandwich I agree that the only veggies on the sandwich should be pickles, but the spicy is great with all the fixins

To each his own I guess, I absolutely love the piece of spicy chicken they put in there and dont like the lettuce and tomato getting in the way of the flavor.

i had the deluxe and some chicken nuggs

i put the chick fil a sauce on it as suggested

i like the polystyrene sauce for the nuggets.. dat high fructose corn syrup

pretty damn good

the nuggets seemed freshly breaded compared to whatever mcdonalds nuggets are lol

I forgot to suggest the sauce with the play spicy chicken. I forgot the name of it now, but I think it's like some kind of BBQ sauce, but it's yellow. Honey BBQ maybe? That on a plain spicy chicken, and then some polynesian if you want, is so goddamn gooood.

speaking of mcdonalds, there burgers are never my thing. I like the big mac, but everything else ain't good imo. There angus stuff always end up too dry.

The Wendys Portobello Mushroom Bacon burger thing is really good too. The bacon actually tasted like bacon. Highly recommend it if it sounds interesting at all to you.

So I had my quarterly craving for Doritos Taco's

The fuck?

When I got them they come in their own cardboard sleeves.

I really wish they would just sell the shells only at the grocery store or something then I could use them with some real meat homemade style. Dream big.

had a Wendys 'son of baconater' yesterday, and a 5 guys bacon cheeseburger today. Surprised that Wendys bacon was a lot better than the stuff from 5 guys (and frankly the best 'fast food' bacon I ever had), although overall quality obviously 5 guys wins.

Get the big daddy.

Another C'Mon son. Five Guys "is how bacon is supposed to be."

Late reply here (hey, I'm on vacation...), but...

Red Rooster?

Alright, I have tried this.

For the other Americans, Red Rooster is a roasted chicken restaurant, although they also serve fried chicken and fish sandwiches/strips/etc.

For myself, I ordered their "Classic Quarter" which is a quarter chicken with chips (french fries)...

Not bad. Chicken has been brined/marinated so it has flavor throughout, and I appreciated the dollop of stuffing at the bottom of the box.

Do they have Nandos in the states?

Hungry Jacks used to have the Aussie Burger, but I don't think they have them anymore.

Can't think of anything else really........

Yes, there are Nando's in the US, but afaik only in the Washington DC area. I managed to miss them there, as well as when I saw them in Northern Ireland, so I decided to give them a try here...

As for Hungry Jack's, I took you at your word, but then I saw that they do indeed still serve the Aussie, but it was too late for me, I had already ordered a Bacon Deluxe...

Americans, take note of the Aussie-style bacon in there...

Oh well. I consoled myself a few days later with what was more or less an Aussie burger (from what I can tell - bacon, egg, and cheese are the key ingredients, right?) from the burger joint in the Queen Vic Market in Melbourne...

I'm off to get myself some pies now...

Looks like I need to take some time off of this thread and fast-food in general. I've had some stomach problems as of late so I scheduled an appointment with a gastroenterologist. Turns out I have hemorrhoids and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Not good, so now I can't eat fast food 5-6 times a week like I used to, i'll have to reduce it to once or twice a week. :(

I know right? I pouted toward the doctor to let him know how upset I was that I would have to change my diet, but then he glared at me with a dose of reality by saying "You know, it could be a lot worse." I have to agree, I could have been diagnosed with chrones disease, anal fissures etc, but this is preventative, and if all I have to do is cut down my junk food/beverage intake to stay healthy, I'm going to do it.

Yeah, its good its just that, but fast food really is too delicious.

Eating some pork tamales from a gas station down the street, not sure if it counts as fast food, but it's good!

I'm currently addicted to Popeyes. I'm convinced their biscuits have some sort of crack-like drug infused within them. Their boneless tenders are to fucking die for, especially with the Mardi Gras mustard and their red beans n' rice is better than what you can find at many restaurants in my opinion.

My go to fast food place is manchu wok, mainly for their orange chicken

If orange chicken was all I could eat for the rest of my life I'd probably be cool with it

YES! Their red beans and rice are so good, coming from a guy who loves red beans and rice and knows what's good. All of their chicken is so good, you can't go wrong with any of it.

I actually ate some cold Popeyes tenders this morning while at work and my balls tingled the entire time. I'm telling you man, any time of day and at any temperature I will inhale anything from that establishment.

Tried Raising Cane's and Steak & Shake for the first time ever on my trip to BGGCon about two weeks ago. I'm hoping those chains make it over to norcal sometime soon, because damn those're some good eats :D

When it comes to fast food stuff I usually like to get buffalo wings and chicken tenders. For the places available around me, Wingstop has great flavors, but the wings are kind of small. Smoke Eaters has awesome sized wings and 50 cent wing nights, but the selection of flavors there isn't as good as Wingstop's imo. Buffalo Wild Wings is good the few times I went there, but they're a little further off and usually packed by the time I get there.

Sunday and I was out shopping, so I went a little out of the way to try Church's. Side menus looked pretty sparse and not too appealing, but the chicken tasted like southern fried chicken but with a KFC-like flavor. I vaguely recall that some part of the world's KFC had fried chicken close to this, but I don't remember where.

Red rooster is so bad. You can get better roast chicken at supermarkets.

American fast food options are far superior to ours in England

I love Mexican food and we recently got a Taco Bell near me (well forty minutes away - only 3 in the country) I wasn't expecting much but I must say the chicken volcano burritos are godly, I may get one or two tomorrow. When I go to Manchester I always have a dilemma though as there is also a barburrito which is more likeable Moes or Chipotle than a Taco Bell.

I also love any spicy chicken burgers, the only option we have for that are zinger burgers from KFC which are ace but their fries are terrible :( my favourite KFC ever was in Egypt, it was a bowl with rice in with chicken pieces in a chilli sauce it was awesome!

Had Burger King the other day, think I'm going to stop going there for a while. My Whoppers were incredibly dry and spongey, the value fries had a pathetic amount(not enough), and they didn't do the burgers how I asked them.

Also, have you guys had this yet? Comes with two blackened ranch dips, a biscuit, cajun fries, and three strips of chicken for $3.99. Great deal, might get two next time I go there.

Panda express has the driest most flavorless 'chow mein' I've ever had, seriously this shit is garbage. Not a total loss though the Shanghi Steak and Sweet fire chicken is good nice touch adding pineapple.

Don't ever get the chow mein, ever.

I was driving to CFA on Saturday and just now noticed a Popeyes that seemed to pop up over night. The closest one to me used to be about 5 miles and kind of a pain to get to and this one is so so convenient.
