I just ordered the ZombiU pack from Amazon. They're still giving the options for release day delivery so I snapped it up five minutes ago.

Go back to gambling gaf, I mean football thread, get some tips to win enough to cover the Wii U! Chelsea 0-0, Bentiez to be sacked Sunday and Liverpool to win a game on possession. Easy treble.

Just do it though, worst case you sell in a few months for not much loss :)
 
Just woke up about an hour ago, and I'll apparently get my Wii U within the next 30 minutes or so. Didn't expect it today. Nice.
 
Just called TNT, the woman on the phone said she's going to call the driver and ask for an ETA, so maybe the van's out there already.

argh I'm getting really hyped now, I love new console launches.
 
For anyone interested my Amazon UK Wii U arrived 2 hours ago via City Link, normally Amazon send it on the day but I got lucky this time round.

Just had an Amazon live chat session:

Me: Hi. Could you tell me when my Wii U console will be dispatched please? My order has said "Dispatching soon" for hours and I really want this on launch day.

Amazon: Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk.

Me: I'd just like to know that I'll receive the console tomorrow. When is it likely to be dispatched?

Amazon: I've checked and can see that the item already entered the dispatch process and already it is loaded into the truck.

Me: Thank you very much!

The driver's not answering because "he's probably on his lunch break", have to ring back at about 2pm.

They shouldn't be allowed to eat at times like this.


The woman on the phone gave me a consignment number that actually works on the TNT website though, the guy set off at 07:16 and he still isn't here yet!

Anyone else having a bit of trouble getting the update to download? Mines about three quarters done but keeps saying it can't access the server every few minutes :/
 
They shouldn't be allowed to eat :lol

I don't think the courier company can break the law just because a new console is out!
 
Has anyone who received the message from DPD last night actually had their delivery yet? Their tracking info still hasn't updated for me.

Mine's from Zavvi but I think it might be the same case here, either that or they sent out the shipment notices so late that DPD didn't get a chance to pick them up yet. I think there have been a few lucky ones but the majority of us will be in the same boat. E-mail from Zavvi actually said expected delivery date is 3rd Dec, despite the DPD e-mail saying otherwise but I suspect those were just automated.

Mine is from Zavvi but i guess we're all in the same boat with DPD. If it wasn't going to be today i wish they would have just said so as i roped someone into staying at my house until it arrives. Sucks for them!

Same here re Sainsburys. I emailed DPD about the lack of tracking - automated reply said they will get back to me within 24hrs (not much use!). Also got an e-mail from Amazon saying screen protector despatched. The bad news is nothing yet from Ubisoft saying they have despatched AC3 or from Gameconnection saying they have despatched Zombiu (grrr) - looks like it may be Nintendoland only tomorrow.

hmmm i think my case may be different

i have tracking info and it even says on the DPD site it is due for delivery today, the problem is it isnt out for delivery and is sitting at the local depot
 
Just spoke to someone from DPD, they said that most the Wii U deliveries haven't been picked up for delivery today, but should come tomorrow. Well, at least I don't have to wait in anymore.
 
so i just one from amazon

not really been following since I thought amazon were out of stock, does it seem likely i will get it tomorrow? it says 'dispatching soon' and the derivery estimate is tomorrow...
 
Still hanging around at home, do I go work or not haha (I can either go work now and tomorrow, or hang around today and do all day tomorrow!) arghhhh decisions!
 
Just had mine delivered by DPD, right within the time they gave me. Time to play some Nintendo Land and hopefully i'll have ZombiU for tomorrow!

I guess in going to have to come to terms with the fact that mine wont be coming today then.
