THQ Humble Bundle is up (THQ needs your money lol)

List of PC Humble Bundle games that were not self published
- Penumbra series (Paradox Interactive)
- Hammerfight (Kranx Productions and 1C)
- Bit.trip runner (Aksys Games)
- Shank (Electronic Arts)
- Psychonauts (Majesco)
- Bastion (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment)
- Torchlight (Perfect World)
- Vessel (indiepub)
- Trine (nobilis)
- Shadowgrounds (Meridian4)
- Zen Bound 2 (Chillingo Ltd)
- Swords and Soldiers (Ronimo Games)

This isn't definitive because I just scanned Wikipedia for PC versions, often the Linux version was a different publisher. Feel free to correct me if you know that the Humble Bundle funded the developer directly or a game is missing.

Psychonauts is not appropriate for the list--Double Fine bought all the rights back from Majesco, and what was on the HIB went all to Double Fine.

Swords and Soldiers is independent.

I'm reasonably certain the rights for Trine reverted to the dev as well. There was a big kurfuffle, and Trine 2 ended up published by Atlus as a result.

Bit.Trip Runner is independent on PC, although they worked with a publisher on consoles.

Jesus fucking Christ, THQ don't you fucking die on me yet, I need The Next Great Installment of the Saints Row Franchise and I need South Park.

Need them.

Don't. Die.

In my opinion though this might seem, and I'm sure it is indeed considering THQ reality, a desperate move, it's a very laudable move from THQ nonetheless. They will be going under but while they were going the way of the dodo they still contributed to charity.

I agree with this. For a last ditch attempt at making some money, this is as consumer and charity friendly as a failing company can be.

Welp, THQ can absolutely forget about me ever buying a full price game from them. I genuinely enjoy their games but I can't justify a $60 purchase knowing how low the price will drop.

Don't worry. You will soon be able to buy all their library on GOG.com with the revenue going to whichever big company bought their IPs.

Anyone else having issues with Amazon Payments? I get taken to a Contact page for Humble Bundle once I hit the pay button, but didn't get confirmation of payment or anything.

Edit: Ended up doing it with Paypal. Will check my CC statement later just in case.

Poor THQ... I feel bad.

It also happened to me, I wanted to buy the games for a friend.

Am I the only one who can't complete the purchase of the bundle? It always sends me to the contact page, instead of processing my order.

anyone use google payment got their key yet?

I got the link to the key/download page right after the payment was done (as usual), but I haven't received the e-mail yet.

Damn its taking long for the keys.

You do know you don't have to wait for the e-mail to get your keys? Once the payment is done, you click "Return to Humble Bundle" (or whatever), and you'll be returned to the site where you'll be given the link to the download page.

At least that's how it has always worked for me, using Google Wallet to pay. Not sure if it's the same if you use PayPal or Amazon.

almost no pc releases stay at even 50% of their original cost after a month or so these days though

I'm tempted to buy this, but I only really care to play SR3, Metro 2033, and Darksiders.

this is scary as shit to hear as an indie dev...3 full budgeted titles with million dollar budgets = not worth 5 bux

this industry man

Yeah, it seems like Amazon payments are borked. I'm going to be checking my CC statement just to check, but I doubt there will be any problems.

Paypal seems to be working, for what it's worth.

Yeah, I've always used Paypal for Humble Bundles and I've never had any issues.

Would you guys donate to a Kickstarter to feed THQ employee families?

I donated money when one of Relic developers died in a tragic car accident. It resonated with me as a father. It depends how the campaign is set, but I most certainly won't scoff at a campaign like that.

Wow at the indie dev bitching on twitter. Go blow it out your ass, you self entitled dicks.

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. Some of these indie devs are really showing themselves up as assholes, and I'm sure I won't be the only one remembering their behaviour when they start shilling their next game.

was a list of indie devs crying about this on Twitter going to be compiled? because i'd love to know which ones to avoid in the future.

i already own all these THQ games, but i'll toss a bit more their way because i'd like to support THQ and see them stick around. a lot of good games have come about through them.

Don't post those in the open, non-GAFers will come steal them!

So, you're saying that THQ should NOT be offering a PAY WHAT YOU WANT TO WHOM YOU WANT bundle of their games? This was their idea, not ours. You can't be mad that people don't want to pay much for old THQ games that were not that good in the first place....I'm sure THQ isn't upset about people playing their games.

Saints Row, Darksiders, Metro and Company of fucking Heroes not THAT good?

Poor THQ! Am gonna get me some Saints Row 3.

Also THQ need more money than fucking entitled indie devs who should frankly learn THEY ARE JUST BUSINESSES like anyone else. I like them for their games, that doesn't mean they need to be fucking cuddled and wrapped in pillows and then wanked off at the end of the night.

/rant

Basically they can grow the hell up and stop pretending.

Ama gonna finally get some Saint's Row.
Poor THQ.

Whens the Kickstarter?
