3 games for $5? What's not to love!

I bought it for 2 games Saints and Darksiders and still feel almost bad for paying so little.

I think it's true that the spirit of the original HIB was to support developers directly. This is, of course, a very unusual Humble Bundle. Steam-only, Windows-only, and a corporate publisher. However, I think some context is required as well. We're dealing with a seriously ill publisher--there are probably developers who have participated in the Humble Bundle who are more well capitalized than THQ. So it's not, like, a corporate monolith by comparison. I guess the debate is more about whether or not HIB is at least partially a refutation of the publisher model? I think a lot of indie developers view it that way, but a lot of customers probably don't feel so strongly.

I do think there's a legitimate debate to be had. I don't think this opens the door to Humble Bundle EA next week. I don't think it undermines previous work by Humble Bundles to create a safe and viable business outlet for indies. I don't think it undermines the Humble Store. I don't think it makes them hypocrites. It might be a bad decision, but I think the extenuating circumstances are the reason why it happened.

I'm really big on DRM-free, and part of what I liked about Humble Bundles were the principle of the matter in that everything was DRM-free, and multi-platform.

I have to give it to you stumpokapow: You've made the only reasonable response I've seen so far to this mess, taking into account why some individuals are upset. So I appreciate that.

You can start the single player campaign and then download and install the other packages.

It's on Steam, so you basically download all 3 games even if you only have a key for one of the 3 games. The keys tied to your RelicOnline account basically dictate what content you can play.

But yeah, start with the original campaign. If you want to learn the Wehrmacht, you have to do it in Skirmish. British and the OF Germans have their own campaigns though.

Like I said earlier, Metro alone is worth the price. This is likely the cheapest you'll ever get these games.

Theres one code for SR3 and one code for everything else. You don't get extra copies for redeeming games you already own.

Steam, with very few exceptions, does not give you duplicates of games you previously purchased.

You just lose the extra copies of games included in bundles.

In my original purchase, I got a bit too emotional and gave it all to Charity. Now? I'm going to be overemotional and give it all to THQ.

Fucking shit, they've been part of my life every since I was a kid. Yukes and THQ name has been burned inside my head. They made some amazing games and they still do, and it's not their fault that shit isn't working out.

I really hope all the developers stay within the same development teams when an outside company do end up buying THQ, whenever that may be.

I'm reasonably certain the rights for Trine reverted to the dev as well. There was a big kurfuffle, and Trine 2 ended up published by Atlus as a result.

I should probably clear this up - we (Frozenbyte) have always owned our games, but indeed Shadowgrounds was distributed in North America by Meridian4 (and on Steam as well originally, we reverted the rights in 2010 or so when the contract expired, although I always say that Meridian4 is one of the few "publishers" [they're a bit small to really use that moniker] who were always good to work with, even during tough business discussions), and Trine was distributed on PSN by Nobilis and in PC retail in several countries by Nobilis (and through a sublicense by SouthPeak in the US - oh how we wish that had never happened). Trine we self-published on Steam all along. Trine 2 we licensed for XBLA and PSN to Atlus, PC retail in Europe to Focus Home Interactive (who are great) and kept other distribution rights to ourselves. We are self-publishing the Wii U version in the Nintendo eShop.

I would imagine some of the other games mentioned in the original post have similar distribution licensing agreement things going on, certainly when it comes to XBLA and PSN at least (it was and still is a bit tough to self-publish on those, technically possible on PSN but in many cases not an option if you want to release on other platforms too, although the situation may have changed recently).

You can't activate on the website. In the client, either select the "Games" menus at the top and select "Activate a product" or hit "+ Add a Game" on the bottom left.
