THQ Humble Bundle is up (THQ needs your money lol)

Bit the bullet and grabbed the Saints Row the 3rd bundle. The game was my GOTY last year and I want the soundtrack. I'll give the dollar bundle away as soon as I get my new code but seems like it's getting hammered.

EDIT: Nevermind! Aquamarine hooked me up.

I'm sure they are gone already.

Sorry about that! You just gave me an excuse to donate another $6 to THQ.

Here's two more keys, GAF-only this time:

Darksiders, Red Faction: Armageddon, Metro 2033, Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, and Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor Steam Key:

Saints Row: The Third Steam Key:

Surprised THQ isn't one of the charities listed.

Child's Play buys new games for hospitals. Your Childs Play donations go on to benefit THQ, EA, and Activision indirectly anyway.

Also, two different people attempted to buy me a bundle. The email hasn't shown up for the past half hour.

Holy shit, I don't have any of those games. That sure is some kind of bundle.

Got it, thanks!

EDIT: To clarify, I only took the main bundle key. The SRTT code may still be up for grabs.

£3 or 4... well always wanted to check out Company of Heroes.

(I assume even if Relic are snapped up with THQ's fall, it's the end of Dawn of War?)

Just bought this for SR3, Red Faction and the soundtracks (already owned everything else). Was hoping the redundent games would be turned into gift codes but I guess they just don't count when you add the code to steam :/

Are the people not recieving their keys/mails on gmail?

I haven't gotten my keys via g-mail, luckily I have an actual humble bundle account, so I could pull up everything instantly from there.

It works retroactively as well, register for an account with the same e-mail you used to buy your keys and it'll add them all to your account.

I should probably clear this up - we (Frozenbyte) have always owned our games, but indeed Shadowgrounds was distributed in North America by Meridian4 (and on Steam as well originally, we reverted the rights in 2010 or so when the contract expired, although I always say that Meridian4 is one of the few "publishers" [they're a bit small to really use that moniker] who were always good to work with, even during tough business discussions), and Trine was distributed on PSN by Nobilis and in PC retail in several countries by Nobilis (and through a sublicense by SouthPeak in the US - oh how we wish that had never happened). Trine we self-published on Steam all along. Trine 2 we licensed for XBLA and PSN to Atlus, PC retail in Europe to Focus Home Interactive (who are great) and kept other distribution rights to ourselves. We are self-publishing the Wii U version in the Nintendo eShop.

I would imagine some of the other games mentioned in the original post have similar distribution licensing agreement things going on, certainly when it comes to XBLA and PSN at least (it was and still is a bit tough to self-publish on those, technically possible on PSN but in many cases not an option if you want to release on other platforms too, although the situation may have changed recently).

Thanks for clarifying. I did end up removing those two once I saw Stump's post and that you were listed as self published on the Steam library (even though it has been known to carry errors from time to time). I appreciate where you're coming from on the consoles, Gaijin were in a similar situation and they've been removed. Glad to see things moved on with the WiiU.

Gosh I'm such a PC-idiot. This is why I don't just make
buy
. With how dumb I am with PCs I'd spend $2500 and somehow end up with games looking and running worse than they do on my PS3.

Yep. THQ makes Spongebob games. I'm sure they buy that for kids! D:

It's just funny when gamers treat Child's Play as the One True Charity when they're basically making a big deal about running marathons and cookie bridages to fill the ledgers of every major publisher in the gaming industry. Oh, and of course the companies enjoy looking good by gating Greenlight access behind a Child's Play donation and other things.

Child's Play helps kids, but people need to admit who it benefits along the way. I figure setting the slider all the way to THQ is just cutting out the middleman in this case.

On the one hand, this ain't exactly an indie bundle... but on the other hand, if any company is a struggling video game company, it's THQ. I'll accept this one exception and buy the games. THQ really does need all the help it can get and it should be applauded for essentially using their games for charity.

Wish I didn't own all of these already, on PC no less. Hope people are directing their money THQ's way - good people/studios there that deserve support.

I don't see this problem. Just because a site started with indie bundles shouldn't mean they can't branch out. They don't even have the word indie anywhere near this bundle.

Wow at read some of the comments in this thread, are there actually people who want to see THQ go under?

A lot of them are emotional comments. Some are trolling and some don't really care. ALl in all, keeping all the shock value aside, no one in their right mind would want to watch a company dissolve and watch thousands of people go unemployed.

I haven't seen one person write a good reason why this is supposed to be bad other than "It's supposed to be indie" which is not a reason at all.

You should see some of the people who want Sony to go under.

Regardless, I'm supporting both groups. I don't even PC game that much but will pay $7 for this bundle when I get home. Do they accept paypal?

I'm expecting Saint Rows the third to show up on PS+ next month because of this, so they can get a quick buck from sony.

Oh and to be clear... if you get a game on Steam, you keep the ability to download it. I own Vice City on Steam and it had yet to delete itself from my account.
