One thing to note is that if North Carolina wasn't bowl ineligible, they would be in this game and attendance would be much better for the ACC. But, you know, they are ineligible, so it's a moot point. Charlotte am cry.

So lets say it is currently 2014, and the new four team playoff system has been implemented. In this years SEC situation, wouldn't Florida be sitting pretty while UGA and Alabama basically have to play an extra playoff game where the loser is screwed out of a chance at the national championship?

The only way a conference should do a neutral game is if they are confident any teams participating can sell it out or at least come close to selling it out.
The only conference that can say that is the SEC. And maybe Big 10 if half of a division wasn't suspended.
If Alabama wins against ND, I believe that makes this outgoing Senior Class the winningest Senior Class in the history of college football. Think it's tied right now (I want to say there was a Boise State class with the most. Something like 48)

Honestly if that were the case I don't think the voters would drop Georgia below #4 and then you just got to hope on the computers. But then that makes this game sort of pointless (aside from "seeding").
no the b1g game. nebraska, osu, michigan, psu, etc can all sellout a stadium anywhere in the country without a problem. their championship game is fine for selling out

i mean as long as they're selling tickets and making money, i don't think they care too much about turnout. i personally would have went if the game was closer to tallahassee and tickets were $4 on stubhub in whatever other city it was in(doubtful if the game was in florida however).
Georgia Tech is never going to do shit until they can throw the ball as often as they run it. Elite teams are too fast for them on defense.
