The talent issue is the offense. Johnson came in, there was at least some talent, and the team took a bunch of people by surprise. That talent has graduated. They're not going to get athletes when they are competing against teams running pro-style offenses or the spread.

But this is just my arm-chair analysis. Some of it might even be right.

Dat Chan Gailey effect.

Well, good game tonight. Obviously I'm not happy with the result but it was back and forth and I thought we were going to win at the end... But the ball got tipped and that was it. Wish they would have spiked the ball on first down there instead of rushing a play. With how close the game was, shame that we'll probably drop below Florida. It seemed obvious to me that whoever lost that game should go to the Sugar Bowl.

I was sure that Wisconsin would get conservative and start milking the clock on the last drive, but instead they kept Nebraska on their heels.

yes, it's obvious that a team that lost 35-7 to a team this season should go to the Sugar Bowl

If we'd won and gone to the MNC, that loss would have still been on our record. With how close the game was and being decided in the last half a minute.. I don't think that has anything to do with the South Carolina game.

If it does, then by threeballz logic you're saying that South Carolina would have destroyed Bama and should play Notre Dame.

Actually it doesn't make sense that UGA beat UF and doesn't get the SUger Bowl invite. I guess upward failing has a place in the bowl matchups. I hope we can reap the benefits too!

And this is why they got the waiver early.

Friendly reminder about the how we've fared vs. Florida State:

You mean wins in 1952 and 2002 and 12 lopsided losses in between? :p

It's about your overall resume. You lost 2 games, one was a blow out. Why do you deserve to go to the Sugar Bowl over a team that has 3 top 10 wins and 1 top 15 win? You have 1 top 10 win. So no, I'm not using threeballz logic.

Gtech fans (I guess Giga), do you like the option offense you guys run or would you prefer if you got a coach that could install something different?
I'm a little sick of it but I don't think we would be a much better team with a pro style offense. Personally I think having something different gives us our best chance.
