The Dawgvent is in full meltdown.

The more I think about this game, the angrier I am. And I was already pretty angry.

Blech. I'd all but made travel arrangements to Tampa. I have zero interest in going to Jacksonville.

Nebraska is a pain in the ass.

I'm actually feeling pretty confident about the Rose Bowl. Stanford has trouble scoring at times, and I think the Badgers are going to be motivated to actually win a Rose Bowl. Third time is the charm!

Best BCS bowl matchups if the powers at be care:

MNC: Bama vs. ND
Rose: Stanford vs. Wisconsin
Fiesta: Kansas St. vs. Louisville
Sugar: Oregon vs. Florida
Orange: Florida State vs. Oklahoma

Does NIU have to get to 16 if they are ahead of the big 10 champ?

Edit: I guess so if Brad Edwards is tweeting about it. I don't know why but I thought if one of the teams was above an auto they go in.

Hang on, let me bring up the threeballz report, here. Hmm. Nope! Stanford > OSU > Wiscy.

In terms of fans it will basically be a Wisconsin home game, so at least they'll have that going for them.

Highly doubt we would get picked for the Sugar Bowl rather than the Fiesta. In fact I'll be pissed if we do since we're in the process of figuring out the airfare for the Fiesta bowl.

heh, will this happen, though.

Georgia "should" get in over Wisconsin, probably Oklahoma too. Hell, probably FSU as well. Forgot Louisville, yeah, over them too.

You're probably thinking of Stanford when Nunes was the QB. They're a lot better offensively with Hogan at QB.

Being ahead of an AQ conference champ increases the threshold to top 16. Otherwise it's top 12.

Don't care. I've been sick of Richt for years, and now i'm sick of Aaron Murray chocking against any team better than a HS squad.

Burn it all down.
Oh I was agreeing with you. Or at least your sentiments. We'll take him off your hands!

To some other post: As long as NIU is at 16 and above any AQ champ, they're in. They'll finish ahead of the Big East and Big 10 champ. The only question is will they move up 5 spots.

Whine whine whine. Richt is a damn fine coach. We will be more than happy to take him back and give you Jimbo if that would make you happy.

Isn't there a 2-team from the same conference rule? Feel like Florida's a lock unless we pass them tomorrow for #3 (which is very possible).

KSU has had a great season but man... Florida/Oregon is tantalizing.

Says someone that doesn't follow Georgia football.

No - we don't deserve to be there. We played 3 good teams all year - one of them blew us off the field, we played like ass against another one and lucked out with a win, and then got steamrolled on the ground by 'bama. This is a mediocre, gutless, defensive football team with a talented offense that tends to come up small when it really matters. We should be happy if the Cotton will have us.

Also as a result of the UCF loss, our mayor has to send over a key lime pie (hope he sends a Marie Calendar frozen one) and has to wear a Tulsa jersey at his next city council meeting.

yeah, there's a "2 team rule"

There's only 1 strange way for 3 teams, hasn't happened yet.

Georgia literally just ran out of time. While I'm of the opinion that Alabama, by how they played and the stat sheet, should have ran away (there's a pun there) with the game, Georgia just ran out of time. So, I believe that loss should not hurt them.

I'd keep them in front of Florida. I don't care that Florida has an impressive list of defeated foes. They are a Frankenstein Team. Their offense is baffling, as have been most of their games besides FSU and USCe.

Though, I'd say they most remind me of the 1992 Alabama team. The Defense that wins the games with a freak side show called "Offense."

My family and I tried about 5 different Key Lime pies while visiting the Florida Keys a few years ago, and the best one we ate was at South Miami area Publix.

Can we let history show that Oregon played a decent non-con schedule? Outside of the KSU replacement FCS school, they blew out the MWC and Sun Belt conference champs.

Arkansas State 9-3
Fresno State 9-3

Florida is a lock, and I don't see you passing us. We will both just move up a spot.

Georgia will actually get a better opponent than Florida if NIU cracks the top 16 though.

She'll make deserts for you on request? Your girlfriend sounds amazing.

And they're proud of it. The employee uniforms included a bold display of their "top 100 companies to work for" title.
I used to work for Publix. They are a pretty good company to work for so long as the management is competent.

But benefits, 401k, stocks, etc. Pretty solid for a grocery store.

And my gf couldn't ever produce a key lime pie. I'll have to teach her I guess.

The reason I suggested it:

1) Oregon stands to gain more in the computers and will with Georgia's loss
2) Florida may lose ground in the polls because of split-votes with Georgia
3) Closeness of them already.

It's not likely, but totally possible.

Congrats bro
:p

I watch too much ESPN :(

I'm with ya. It's all hangover from the stanford loss. You were full well prepared to show the world why Oregon deserved a MNC bid over Notre Dame and K-State, then Stanford happened. And for K-State, Baylor happened, which threw out SOS and all that jazz out the window for this years selection. Kinda disappointing actually. I was hoping the BCS's last two years would go out with a controversial bang. I guess there's always next year...unless Texas is involved then fuck that. I never want to relive 2008's torture. Put the BCS drama on some other teams please...

Yeah, we shit the bed against Stanford. This was our year I think. When we played well we were head/shoulders above our other recent teams. Really blew a lot of opportunities to finish that game against Furd though. Basically, as lucky as Notre Dame was against Purdue/BYU/Stanford/Pitt; we were as unlucky against them (and against their good QB).

Oh well. Maybe Oregon gets Florida..?

We can keep dreaming I guess. That would be a great game. You get to test your offense against maybe the best defense in the country. (I think ours is MUCH better than both of the ones you saw in that championship game tonight, and we already proved ourselves against FSU)

Mark Richt was salty in that press-conference but I thought how he responded was fine. Yeah, he needs to answer the question but I liked his rage.

I would love to see it. We've been pretty good at taking care of the ball since the mid-point but our special teams has been shit. That's where Florida might win it.
