Best credits in a game?

Whenever you beat a game, seeing the credits roll after you beat the final boss or race or whatever just leaves you with pure satisfaction. But which game has the best credits to offer once you beat the game? Is it in terms of music? Interactivity? Imagery? Or is it something so ridiculous that just makes you want to throw your hands up and laugh?

The ones that come to mind for me would be SSBB's subspace emissary credits which was a mix of all the themes from all SSB games and of course the laser-shooting credits from Melee.

Red Dead Redemption.

To be fair, this works for most "best ________" questions.

Yet another thing Red Dead Redemption does spectacularly.

You have to earn the title card and credits basically in a way that some people won't even discover, the song at the end also represents John's and his family's journey in a tragic and beautiful way.

The more this gen keeps getting older and older, the more Red Dead Redemption shines. Mass Effect 1&2 also had pretty great credit songs.

Halo Anniversary. God I had nothing better to do with 18 minutes of my life.

But seriously, ME1 and Borderlands 1 were two games that I replayed for the sole purpose of the credits music.

It's probably the most common answer, but there's a reason for that.

Portal.

EDIT: beaten like the insect I tried to kill right now. Well, actually not, the bastard is still alive and hiding in my room.

Madworld?

Edit:

Skyward Sword for sure. It actually showed the game story from another persons perspective.
And the music... Dear god the music!!!

The whole dementedly joyous, neverending thing. Intensely uplifting, and surprisingly sweet.

FINAL FANTASY VI. 30 minutes of pure bliss and satisfaction. No other game ending has come close.

I agree. Probably the best videogame ending of all time.

Super Mario RPG: You get to see what happens to pretty much every single important character you come across and AFTER that there's the parade with the credits filled with humor. I love it a little more every time I see it.

Final Fantasy VI: Still the BEST Final Fantasy ending to me. No other comes even close.

Holy crap LiK, you read my very mind. *high five*

I've always enjoyed the Kingdom Hearts games credits since they show some dialogueless "Where are they now?" scenes for all the worlds you visit.

Red Dead Redemption is definitely up at the top with Dead Man's Gun.

God Hand of course, as well as Okami. Clover really knew how to do great credits.

My pick would be another masterpiece from the ex-Clover boys, Bayonetta.

I just finished it over the weekend, and the credits were just as fun to watch as was playing the game.

It's got it all - music, interactivity and imagery.

The icing on the cake to an amazing game.

Something about the tone of Okami's credit song felt so evocative of a really fantastic theme that would play during the series finale of a really long anime.

There's also a fantastic piano rendition of it as well.

Also in the same vein, Persona 4! I'm a sucker for ending songs that are vocal versions of a motif you had been hearing throughout the entire game.

I liked Journeys

It really completed the whole circle of life metaphor that i felt the game aimed for, you see one of the comets flying through the air - the same comets you see occasionally through th game and it lands back where you started the game and then the "new game" symbol pops up and you realise that was your character restarting their journey.
