I don't think they'll let go of the Nolan Bats too easily. Like you said, Batman is bigger than Nolan, and ultimately it isn't up to Nolan what happens to his universe. It's up to WB.

Yeah but to stick to Blake or any of the creations from Nolan's Batman is clinging to Nolan.

Batman is bigger than that. Go another direction even if you keep it tonally similar.

Will Justice League have Aquaman?

Vinny Chase gotta eat.

Robb Stark from GoT should play Aquaman

How threatening, people being attacked by sea birds. Like they'd ever make a movie about that.

But seriously, what can Aquaman do? Do they go by the fact that most people in the world live near the coasts? Never read anything about him.

He's also super strong and super fast on land if I recall due to having to survive at the pressures of deep sea. So while he's best in the water, I'd imagine he could still beat the crap out of most people while on land

I want to get that collectors edition but then I hate the milking and will probably end up waiting for the trilogy super duper set ..

Supposedly, the Dark Knight Reborn doc that comes with the BestBuy Steelbook is actually on the special features disc and not just on their shitty streaming service.

After Bane's beatdown, two drops down the pit with the rope tied around him, the fall with Harvey, the leap from the Bat, Bruce's spine must be... eugh.

His super power is that he can save the Justice League when the Evil Villain of the hour is trying to drown them!

I was pretty down on the movie on my first watch, but upon rewatch...

THE BAD
-the last scene with Cotillard is unintentionally hilarious due to poor acting and a very goofy shot of Batman, Catwoman, and Gordon
-Bruce climbing out of the pit should have felt a lot more satisfying and fulfilling, instead he clears like one jump near the bottom and it's over
-end cafe scene, I will never like this
-fight coreography is terrible but barely saved by good cinematography, editing, and music
-the overall villain plot sucks
-
the character of Talia
kind of sucked in general
-Bane's dialogue is sometimes unintentionally funny but thankfully its sparse

THE MEDIOCRE
-Hathaway's acting is decent for the most part but there's signs of her trying too hard which takes me out of the picture
-the action in general is the best of the trilogy, but still needed some work, it simply is not Nolan's forte
-some of Bane's dialogue is very dramatic like he's actually speaking in metaphors and symbolism
-Bale's Batman is still bad and still has a bad voice WHERE IS THE TRIGGAHHH WHERE IS IT THE TRIGGAHHH

THE GOOD
-cinematography
-music for the most part
-acting for the most part
-finally a solid overall third act, whoo go Nolan
-Bane was awesome, my favorite villain in the trilogy
-final fight scene was spectacular
-the
identity reveal to Gordon
was satisfying despite the unnecessary flashback
-John Blake is the best character in the trilogy YOU SONSABITCHES YOU'VE KILLED US

I don't think it's as solid as TDK, and I don't think anything matches the first act of Begins, but I think in overall terms of enjoyment and because it actually has a good third act unlike the other two, it may be my favorite.

TRIGGAHHHHHH

So it seems Amazon delivered my trilogy blu ray yesterday even though today is the official release date and didn't even send me an email that it was delivered. Didn't even know, my roommate found it. Didn't have time last night but I'm very excited to watch TDKR in glorious 1080p.

Did anyone actually the Bale voice when he is screaming for the trigger? At that point after the fight after every thing he had been through I was just like hell yeah yell it out!

Then again I always liked Bale's bat voice. Only times it sounded terrible was when he had to do it in quite exchanges or the final scene with the Joker. Any time he is actually yelling it works.

They are reacting to the take of Talia's death that Nolan went with. "What the fuck?"

Yeah I just really cannot see how Nolan would go with that shot/take. Then that head flop... dear lord. But then again that whole scene was just poorly conceived and cliche in general, complete with a dying villain spouting some "I may die but we shall win the day" nonsense. Coupled with really shoddy line delivery and that goofy shot, that scene was quite simply a disaster.

It doesn't ruin anything for me but it does make me laugh every time I see it. It's got nothing on the scene in question above however.

Yea, it's ridiculous, but the whole situation is, so you just go with it. Fuck yea, yell it out Bruce, make that mother fuckers ears bleed.

So the cowl is sitting at my doorstep, and the steelbook is on hold for me at best buy. (also reserved catch me if you can)

Do I open and enjoy the cowl, or sell it online?

Batman's voice is perfect for yelling, as he likes to do but that 'conversation in in the interrogation room from Dark Knight is surreal and batmans 'calm' voice ads to it.

I may or may not pick TKR after work. I'm actually more hyped that Finding Nemo is finally out of Blu-ray.

Looks like the best one is Best Buy's steelbook. Comes with a 30+ min doc on the 2nd disc that's not on any other release. And it has a bomb ass cover

I wasn't sure I was getting anything extra with the Steelbook. Not sure another 30 minute documentary is worth the $5 extra they are charging at Future Shop. I could care less about the steelbook for this movie. It wouldn't match the rest of Nolan Bat-films.

Didn't Aqua-Man or The Sub-Mariner have complete control of water at some point?
