I'm just glad she's getting a new outfit for the first time in what...shit, since the original Mandarin trilogy in the 1980s, lol. I like Psylocke enough, but that Thongkini gotta go

The white parts of her costume should have been transparent.
What can i say, i love skin!

^ alright, I am in.
The new Illuminati looks mean as fuck, i cant wait for this book.

Okay, which one of you is responsible for this?

robertliefeld ‏@robertliefeld
Nah RT @iambatmatt Hey @robertliefeld please die... I mean it, seriously. Please. I beg you.

:O

Guess iambatmatt couldn't button his fly. :\

Man, the X-Force costumes are just so shitty. Just noticed Bishop's cute little Mary Poppins cape. Ugh. They still look like a dance troupe or a Cirque de Soleil act to me.

I would say let me go get drunk and we'll scrap, but that just brings out the side of me I suppress.

The nice side. >:|

Let me go drive for a bit, then I'll be ready to stab somebody in the neck.

I hope this book is at least okay, but I'm not sure about dog f*cker writing it.

Then again one of my favorite movies ever is about giving a dog a blowjob, so you never can tell.

Ok wait a second....what?

Dr. Nemesis really got the short end of the stick when it comes to costume re-designs.

Look at all the belts and pouches. I mean Forge has like 4 belts and god knows how many pouches.

Observing the illustration, it looks more like the straps are a harness for the cybernetic leg. I could be wrong though.

As least he doesn't look like crazy out of control nappy Worf.

I'm glad to have Bishop back, but this book has years of stupid to apologize for.

Anyhow - need to get to bed early. Been staying up too late and these fucking dinosaurs aren't going to finish drawing themselves. I'm doing it wrong!

Oh and go read more of Adam the Blue Marvel.

That's a leg? I thought it was some sort of huge gun.

Wait what? Lulz.

My boy Bishop is BACK and no baldness or cyborg arm in sight!

If Bishop has got to be a villain, I hope they at least make him a tragic, likable one. Kinda like old Magneto, or even more pronounced than him. The dude has been a hero for most of his life, and there's not a lot of cool black heroes around. There's gotta be a good motive for him to change his ways.

And how cool it would be if he was right for doing his thing, and the heroes (X-force) were actually the wrong ones?

I love Ororo and Betsy, Spiral and Puck are pretty cool too (don't have high hopes for girl Fantomex) but I really want to root for the bad guy.

What ever came out of that whole Bishop and Gambit dynamic? I remember that Bish was not too fond of Remy and said that he would betray the X-men in the end. Being from the future I would take that seriously. Unfortunately I stopped reading comics for a long time and don't know what happened between the two of then.

And while we're at it can anyone clarify why Bish was after Cable and Hope? I missed that too.

I believe the ass whupping for the ages Gambshit had coming was resolved in Age of Apocalypse from what I recall being told. The traitor Bishop was looking for wasn't Gambshit, but Xavier or some such nonsense.

Glass Joe Gambshit just can't hang with Bishop.

And yeah, I was pissed with what they did with him in the last Cable series. >:|

I'm almost certain that he'll be joining the team within the first arc. He's got an X-Force costume and has been in the interviews with the designer who gave him a style similar to the rest of the team.

And for your last questions: dumb retcon. Bishop came back from the future to prevent Hope from killing a million humans in something called "The 6 Second War" and that led to the mutant concentration camps in the future

Are you reading the blue marvel now?

Defenders #12 went over my head or maybe i just forget everything that happened earlier, but what was this
Gril thing that ghost/future strange spelled out with old strange's tea bag? What was the act of kindness at the end?

I hate this whole teams redesign.
Considering all of them are characters i kinda like this books designs are really disappoiting, but i wouldnt be shocked if the books themselves are good.
But the characters look like shit.

Dr Nemesis used have such a clean in a menacing way look to him.....during the whole Legion thing, i fell in love with him.....this new Dr Nemesis looks like ass.

Ok, I guess I am the only one who enjoys the team's design. I think it's fitting considering the team leader. It's very...chrome, I guess. I also am a fan of the color scheme.

Are you reading the blue marvel now?

Just finished it.

I enjoyed it, but honestly (I'll take the requisite retort that is my SMS text alert) a lot of the really interesting ideas of the book seemed condensed, rushed through, and by the numbers in terms of Adam reaching a point of forgiveness and contentedness.

If we're going to always have the same race relation fiction between black and white Americans, then let Professor Griff write it and you will get the chocolate version of Invisibles, only better. Do you follow me? Yeah, I'm saying Professor Griff could write conspiracy circles around Grant Morrison. Come at me bro!

Seeing Adam punch Sentry's ass into orbit was great.

I prefer his first costume. I'm a total mark for that Dr. Fate metallic finned helmet. I think that's a really cool design element, and in the context of the story clearly it was used to mask his unforgivable blackness;
but dude - try to retain or recycle elements of that in the new design.
:(

They blew the big ending reveal.
They needed a full body shot of his new costume so we could appreciate it. Am I alone in assuming his wife did a complete overhaul of the costume? Just felt bungled with that 1/3rd page flying off chest shot.

Speaking of bungled. . . how about that constant costume changing Wonder Man? One minute he's in the sassy safari jacket, the next he's just rocking the X-Force style leotard with first letter branding on the chest.

It really felt to me like Marvel was just taking a hand off approach at this point and letting Grevioux go off. The rotating artistic duties also make it seem like there was a vote of no confidence in the book. :(

They should bring Adam back. He's interesting in ways Sentry wasn't while in the MU, and with more time they could flesh out the interesting history he has. Good idea, flawed execution.

The other way to frame it would be to look at the Jewish immigrants who are the foundation of the industry as we know it, and look at how through all the shit the Jews put up with through the millennia, they still managed to tell stories of heroes everybody could relate to.

Conversely, imagine how off the rails Thor would be if his glorious Norse-ness were constantly referred to. :X

For better or worse, I had a movie in mind and it wasn't that one.

They Eat Scum.

They made a live action Invisibles?! :O

Well now I need to see the rest of this.

Christmas comes early Steve Rude interview on Sidebar! :O

Speaking of unrealized potential - I think Johnboy Meyers nailed it:

I like the third one, kind of reminds me of Ultraman.

I like elements of all the costumes though.

They all look better than those new Bishop X-Force costumes.

Avengers 1:

Not sure what that IGN reviewer was talking about, because the entire book was set up. Not to insinuate that the book is slow though. Hickman hints at a bunch of future events in the first few pages (which were released online as previews), introduces some new antagonists, and sets up the reason why the Avengers would ever need a team of 18-24 people. The first portion of the book conveniently focuses on the movie avengers (for new readers?) but most of the team assembles by the last page without issues of buildup like we are getting in Uncanny Avengers.

This team has a lot of heavy hitters, and I am curious how Hickman will justify the inclusion of people like the Falcon on a team that has Captain Marvel, Thor, Captain Universe, and Hyperion.

Opena's art was great, and Dean White continues to be Marvel's best colorist. I don't think this issue was quite as strong as Fantastic Four 570, but it definitely leaves you curious for what is coming next.

Guys. Action Comics #15. Haters didn't believe Morrison could pull it all together, BUT HE DOES. This is the one where everything clicks together, and it's goddamn WONDERFUL.

ASM 699:Dan Slott continues to be the greatest comic writer of our generation. I love that
Peter "can't go" to the Avengers or FF, who've dealt with supervillain mind-swaps plenty of times, for no other reason than that this wouldn't allow for the SHOCKING TWIST ENDING to #700 that now seems incredibly obvious.

(I think Spike Spiegel guessed it a few weeks ago, but probable #700 spoilers:
Ock just barely defeats the villains and "kills" Peter, thus proving himself the... superior Spider-Man.
)

The last page with the character symbols, each branch probably represents a response team for certain missions.

Calling the last line of the book: "You were AMAZING... but I'm SUPERIOR."

2000AD was again incredible this week, bringing three different cliffhangers together for one combined story which has origins in the first years of the comic. And for something that's 35 years old that's no mean feat.

Avengers looks promising.

Also, FOOTOOMP!

The last page with the character symbols, each branch probably represents a response team for certain missions.

Avengers line-up spoilers for those not following the conversation:

That is actually a good theory.

Looking at that last page we have:

Branching off of Captain America: Spider-Woman, Falcon, Captain Marvel, and whoever the bricks represent (Shang Chi?)
- Most of these characters have been associated with Shield or the military. All are street level except Captain Marvel.

Branching off Thor: Hyperion, Captain Marvel, whoever that T represents (girl with white and blue costume?), and an unrevealed character.
- Looks like almost all of these are the heavy hitters. Maybe this is the team that deals with cosmic threats?

Branching off of Iron Man: Wolverine, Spider-man, and I assume Sunspot and Cannonball
- No idea what this team is for, but it looks like they have most of the mutants.

Branching off of Hawkeye: Eden (from Secret Warriors) and a bunch of unrevealed characters.
- No clue about this team either. Eden teleports, so maybe a stealth team?

- The circles for Captain America, Iron Man, Captain Marvel and Eden are larger than the others.

- There are also two large circles in the third row representing unrevealed characters.
