I love these self-contained Hawkeye stories. Pulido's art wasn't as good as Aja's. I wish they weren't going to trade off every two issues.

Read:

Avengers #1 - Loved the art and even thought it could have been a .1, I still liked it.

FF #1 - Wasn't sure what to expect, but liked Allred's art and the cast, I can get behind this.

Chew #30 - Man...just...wow....this was a tough read =(

Okay, I'm getting a little more hep to reading funnybooks on my touchpad. It's nice not having to move out from under my toasty comforter during these shitty cold winter months to turn off the light. Just lock the touchpad and set it alongside the bed. :3

Deadpool is like the bizarro Iron Man comic. Tony Moore is a cartooning god, but the book he's on is shallow, idiotic, and painfully UNfunny. Any hope of Deadpool being more than a one-dimensional caricature goes out the window as well. They don't even follow the damn continuity of the series, where Wade traded his ugly looks for no healing factor. First issue is like nothing happen, same old same old. Shit is bad, man.

It's like Marvel is hellbent on putting gold bricks under shit.

Ryan Stegman, Tony Moore, and Stefano Caselli all need to be on better books.

Stegman on Iron Man.

Caselli on Cap. No disrespect to JrJr.

Moore on. . . He might be interesting on an X-Book. I dunno. I'd rather he be drawing something of his own creation. :X

Hell I'll take Moore as a fill in on Avengers over the Kubert kid.

No he doesn't :D

I don't get it.

That describes how Deadpool has been for ages. :|

I just got back into comics six months ago and never read Deadpool before, so that probably explains my surprise. I'm shocked he got so popular with middle school humor.

I'm reading all the Uncanny X-Force stuff and he isn't nearly so slapstick in there.

He says silly shit in UXF, but he counter balances that with like...other human emotions >_> Gail Simone's painfully short run was great at that, too, making him a bit more well-rounded.

This book is just a bad MAD magazine gag strip

i enjoyed the first issue of deadpool. there needs to be a good balance to the character.

Joe kelly is really one of the only people to get the cahacter

Feel bady for Moore, brah had to work with Kirkman and now these brahs. And in the interview they said they come up with new jokes after the panels are drawn. Wnder how bad the first jokes were.....

The last issue of the Way Deadpool had his healing factor come back.

Man, not to defend Kirkman but it's not like Moore didn't want to work on Walking Dead. They were friends - all the bad blood came later.

I've liked the Deadpool series so far, but it hasn't been as good as the previous series.

Other than that, I've been reading Uncanny Avengers and it's so very meh. I'm not sure what I expected, but it's not hitting right.

Deadpool has had all of three issues, all of which have been entertaining. Is it shallow? Hell yea, but I mean what do you expect out of Deadpool vs Zombie-presidents? I'm willing to give it more time for character growth, but sometimes you just need some stupid fun and this is that in spades.

Really? If it is you can shop anything onto my avatar and I'll wear it for a month.

Deadpool is a book written by comedians, not professional comic book writers. Guess what the book is going to be like.

I'm only reading Deadpool because of Tony Moore's art, but the accelerated releases aren't doing him any favors in that regard. :\

Then again I only read the first issue, so that doesn't really count for shit. :D

Anyhow - bed.

Trying to re-learn Photoshop today after so many years away. Ugh. =_=;

Not worried! When the magnetic shift comes, all you PS users will be crying and I'll still be slinging ink and gluing shit down. >:D

As with all of Marvel's books recently, it has it in three times a month spades... That's more Deadpool than I need tbh.

Deadpool is an extremely stupid book for extremely stupid people, and I'm perfectly fine with that. To quote one Luther Desmond Diamond, "I'M JUST IN IT FOR THE LAFFS! LAFFS MOTHERFUCKERS, LAFFFFFFFS!". All one should expect from a Deadpool book is stupid action, possibly with outrageous amounts of gore, and a lot of very stupid referential jokes. It's got both in spades. If you're expecting anything else then there is something very wrong with you.

there is something wrong with me then, because deadpool use to have depth. now hes a walking shooting fart machine.

This post is wrong. So wrong. Go read Nicieza and Kelly's run before you post something as wrong as this.

I like Deadpool just fine, but I agree that the Tony Moore Heat (TM) could be gifted to a more deserving book. In my wildest dreams, he'd be drawing a Hulk book written by Peter David in a Waid-esque comeback wave.

I liked Thunderbolts okay. It's in the Ennis/Aaron Punisher vein only instead of claymores, Frank has a Hulk. Fine by me.

Weirdly tempted to get this whole Swandaloosazienski Cable run that just went on 99 sale on the Marvel app. Anyone read it? It's basically the whole Hope/Nathan dystopia thang.

It was okay. Duane's done far better. For example, his criminally underrated Iron Fist stint. If he hadn't had the unfortunate luck to have to follow Brubaker/Fraction/Aja, I think people would have warmed to it more. It was a lot of fun.

Avengers felt disjointed. Opena is a great draftsman, but the storytelling in this issue was hella weak.

I was expecting more from this book, but it's just the first chapter.

Oh damn. :O

I'd read that book.

I disliked this run based solely on what they did to Bishop in it. However it's a nice Cable Now preview of what Remender will probably end up doing on Cap as the next honky in love with Lone Wolf & Cub puts his own spin on it.

Again.

I read that for far longer than I should have. It wasn't overly bad, I just remember sticking with it for something like 10 issues and nothing happening.

As easy as it is to get caught up in Marvel Now hype, some of these books are getting easy to drop. Double shipped mediocre titles? No thanks.

My DC list is getting smaller, and smaller, and smaller. And smaller.

Soon i'll be down to:

Aquaman
Batman
Batman Inc
Demon Knights
Dial H
Justice League
Justice League of America - big maybe
Green Lantern - if the next event doesn't require reading the other titles
JL Dark
Wonder Woman

Used to get around 18-ish titles. Of course at that time i was only buying around 5 Marvel books and now i'm up to 15 individual titles with some double shipping too.

I think I'm done with Captain Marvel, as well. So boring. And oh? She doesn't like mysteries? Didn't get it the first time around. Another giant robot thing?

Oy vey.
