FS has always made these sorts of games, its just that more the general public caught on not the other way around.

Well, Demon's Souls was early 2009 in Japan, but development of Project Dark probably didn't start immediately after release, so it still fits a 2ish-year dev cycle I guess.

So I wonder if there will be a delay between the FROM JP release and the US release again? Think I might grab the JP release this time, if only to stop myself from watching EpicNameBro and spoiling everything.

Looking at the history, there might very well be. Looking at the sales numbers and international success, they could go for a worldwide simultaneous release this time around.

I wouldn't recommend it. All of the text is Japanese, and there's a good amount of text when it comes to items and spells and stuff.
All of the voices are in English, though, so there's that.

k fuck getting a new TV I am getting a gaming PC instead, because clearly that's what i need, lords of shadow 2 and Bioshock infinite... basically the games I like to play are awesome on PC so why should i spend 1000 dollars on a TV when i could get a 1000 dollar gaming PC?

I guess I'd be down for a game where I bought up the rights to deceased serfs, but it would be a strange turn for the Souls series...

I don't have a lot of time for gaming, I've pretty much only been playing Dark Souls since the day it came out and have logged 90 hours. About to enter NG+, so maybe by the time I beat that and the DLC, DSII will be here.
Dark Souls is pretty much just the best shit ever. It reminds me of every game. It's basically the best Metroid Zelda Castlevania GTA successor ever.

Well this is great news. I enjoyed Dark Soulsurante Edition™, but I'm hoping that they release a more polished PC port next time. It must have sold a pretty decent amount on PC to get them to commit to a port right off the bat like this. With a combined consumer pool of new buyers like myself and the double dippers I bet they made a nice bit of profit. It's all good and I can't wait to play a new Dark Souls game.
