I finally read all of the Hawkeyes. Great stuff but I have a few questions.
Is the characterization of Hawkeyes accurate? He comes across as a slacker like Danny did in IIF and also looks like him. Kind of feels like more Iron Fist (which is awesome).I always thought Hawkeye was meant to be a dick?
Oh and when did he and Spider-woman break up or is he just happy to cheat on her whenever? That pairing never made sense to me so I'm happy if it's over.

Forget the art, what is going on with the lettering there? It looks like a cut and paste job done in MS Paint.
 
its so stupid that he's back with mary jane again. I've been reading through Brand new Day and the early stuff from 2009 and I love how they broke away from the status quo to tell fresh stories. So far I like Carly Cooper ALOT better than MJ. She's a much stronger character.

That theyre really going to do away with Peter it seems, in such a muted and just not very well done final arc is just... good lord. Hopefully its all a fake out, but at least there'll be a status quo reset again a year.5 later. I've really gone off Slott's run, Spider Island was fun, and theres been some good stuff, but all the Ock stuff has been awful, and thats going to be the main legacy of this run.

I've got Adam, Black Panther, War Machine. Who else would make the cut? Falcon gets a pass - sorry, he's never had much personality. Are there any cool females I'm missing? Sorry Ororo, you're an X-Man for life in my Continuity! >:|

Went to used media store today and they had a shitload of 90's Mehvel toys. Was tempted to grab shit ass Toy Biz Spiral and giant sized She Hulk. :3
 
Double shipped 3.99 comics are really hard to justify. Really hoping Superior is good enough to deserve that money, Spidey is the best and I want it to be great.

Do they have to have been Avengers in the past? Also, I am assuming you don't want to use Luke Cage.

As for women, Monica Rambeau was on the team previously.

I would say doesn't need to have been an Avenger, but don't want mutie scum.

Blade I'll pass on as I don't feel like the supernatural stuff meshes well with the superhero bullshit.

Blade would fit into the new Morbius on-going I think. Have him chase Morbius around and be an recurring anti-hero type trying to kill him, or something. Other than that he doesn't really fit into the universe at all. I see him as sort of a Punisher type, he's in the world but on the far edges of it (well further out than Frank is anyway now that he's in the Thunderbolts). If you're doing something with vampires use him, if not leave his ass alone.

The McDuffie version of Deathlok was Black. Michael Collins. I don't how many versions of Deathlok are around at this point since some of them were from the future and alternate timelines.


Triathalon/3D Man was also an Avenger, but I never really liked him.

EDIT: Cloak is only a mutant because Marvel realized that his original "got superpowers from super heroin" origin sent a bad message to kids.
 
I completely missed that the revised Absolute Blackest Night is going to be $125 instead of $100 due to including the issues that it should have to begin with.

On the bright side for no extra charge you'll get a bunch of gutter loss and binding you'll need two cinder blocks to weigh down so that it's readable.

Oh, and does anyone know how long Saga/Chew is going to be? I want to buy the TPB but I don't want to buy it and then suffer long waits.
 
Chew is going to 60 issues, that's already been planned out.

BKV says he wants Saga to go on longer than The Walking Dead, so do the math

Speaking of BKV, I FINALLY got around to finishing Y the Last Man. I had read the first 50 issues before taking a break from comics a few years back, and I never got around to finishing those last 10 issues. That last issue was not what I was expecting, but still really well done.

Was Fables worth reading past 2005 or 2006? I think when I last read the series, the Frog Prince was about to go into the Fables homelands or something.

Well, that makes it tough. I can barley stand waiting for Locke & Key to end, I can't imagine waiting for something like Saga to end. I can see myself reading Chew...after two years =p

I think so. I have all 17 TPBs so far as well as a few of the side stories. It has its up and downs but as a whole I'd argue the story is better than most of what's out there.
 
You know, it's inevitable that DC or Mehvel will be gunning for Garing due to the strength of Planetoid.

I wouldn't mind seeing him on Iron Man since he draws cool tech and Greg Land just cut'n pastes monkey face Tony all day long.
